OBJECTIVE: Tongue cancer is a common malignant tumor in the oral and maxillofacial region, most of which is squamous cell carcinoma. Cisplatin (DDP) is one of the chemotherapy drugs for patients with tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC). However, DDP resistance has become a major obstacle to its clinical application. Our study aimed to investigate the effects of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) KCNQ1 overlapping transcript 1 (KCNQ1OT1) on DDP resistance of tongue cancer and the underlying mechanism. PATIENTS AND METHODS: The levels of KCNQ1OT1, miR-124-3p, and tripartite motif containing 14 (TRIM14) were detected by quantitative Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction (qRT-PCR). The maximum size of tumor (MTS) assay was used to detect the cell survival rates. Furthermore, the cell proliferation was detected by 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. Transwell assay was performed to detect the cell migration and invasion. Western blot assay was used to detect the protein levels of Vimentin, N-cadherin, E-cadherin, and TRIM14. The functional targets of KCNQ1OT1 and miR-124-3p, miR-124-3p and TRIM14 were predicted by starBase 3.0 and TargetScan. The relationship between KCNQ1OT1 and miR-124-3p was confirmed by Dual-Luciferase reporter assay, RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) and RNA pull-down. Further, the relationship between miR-124-3p and TRIM14 was verified by Dual-Luciferase reporter assay. Animal experiment revealed the effect of KCNQ1OT1 on DDP resistance of tongue cancer cells in vivo. RESULTS: KCNQ1OT1 was upregulated in DDP-resistant tongue cancer tissues and cells, and mainly expressed in cytoplasm. Functionally, the knockdown of KCNQ1OT1 inhibited the survival rate, proliferation, migration, invasion, and EMT of the DDP-resistant tongue cancer cells. Of note, miR-124-3p acted as a target of KCNQ1OT1 and KCNQ1OT1 could reduce the expression of miR-124-3p. Moreover, miR-124-3p targeted TRIM14 and the downregulation of TRIM14 reduced the DDP resistance of tongue cancer cells. Importantly, KCNQ1OT1 regulated the TRIM14 expression by targeting miR-124-3p. Furthermore, KCNQ1OT1 knockdown reduced the DDP-resistant tumor growth and weight through the miR-124-3p/TRIM14 axis in vivo. CONCLUSIONS: LncRNA KCNQ1OT1 promotes the DDP resistance of tongue cancer by sponging miR-124-3p to regulate TRIM14 expression.

OBJECTIVE: Recent studies have revealed that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are dysregulated in malignant tumors and participates in carcinogenesis. The purpose of our study was to uncover the mechanisms underlying lncRNA CASC15 in bladder cancer (BLCA). PATIENTS AND METHODS: In this research, Real Time-quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-qPCR) was performed to detect cancer susceptibility candidate 15 (CASC15) expression in BLCA samples and cells. Besides, the wound healing assay and transwell assay were performed in BLCA cells after CASC15 was knocked down. Furthermore, the bioinformatics analysis and dual-luciferase reporter assay were conducted to explore the target miRNA of CASC15, which was further verified through rescue experiments in BLCA cells. RESULTS: CASC15 expression was upregulated in BLCA tissue samples. Moreover, CASC15 downregulated the miR-130b-3p expression and promoted cell migration and invasion in BLCA in vitro. The rescue experiments also revealed that the inhibitory effects by the silence of CASC15 could be reversed through the inhibition of miR-130b-3p. CONCLUSIONS: Our study suggested a vital regulatory mechanism of CASC15 in BLCA, and the CASC15/miR-130b-3p axis might serve as a new therapeutic interventional target for BLCA patients.

Objective: To develop the Chinese version of anterior skull base questionnaire(ASBQ) and to verify its application in patients with anterior and middle skull base tumors. Methods: The following steps were finished including getting the permission from the author of the original English scale, translating and back-translating, tentative test, discussing the consequence and cultural debugging. From October 2016 to December 2018, 51 patients with skull base tumors from Xuanwu Hospital and China-Japan Friendship Hospital were enrolled as an experimental group, aged from 24 to 70 years old, with 19 males and 32 females, which included 27 patients with anterior skull base tumor and 24 patients with middle skull base tumor. From December 2016 to January 2018, 46 healthy volunteers were selected as a control group, aged from 18 to 36 years old, including 26 females and 20 males. The subjects in the test group and the control group were rigorously tested with official manuscripts and judged whether the manuscript was applicable. The SPSS 22.0 statistical software was used to analyze the data of the test group, the anterior skull base group, the middle skull base group and the control group to evaluate the performance of the scale. Results: Both the rate of the recovery and efficiency in experimental group, anterior skull base group and middle skull base group were 100%, with the average time of completion of (8.7±3.2), (11.2±4.0) and (7.3±2.1) min, respectively in each group. The r value of test-retest reliability was 0.96, 0.99 and 0.97 in experimental group, anterior skull base group and middle skull base group, with the split-half reliability coefficient of 0.91, 0.90 and 0.96, with the entire scale Cronbach's coefficient of 0.91, 0.95 and 0.93, respectively. The content validity and the construct validity of the scale were good enough, and the criteria validity was-0.483,-0.509 and -0.489 in experimental group, anterior skull base group and middle skull base group. The scale could well distinguish the difference of the quality of life between the preoperative and postoperative patients in experimental group and the middle skull base group. The difference of the quality of life in anterior skull base group was not found between preoperative and postoperative patients. Conclusion: The Chinese version of ASBQ has good reliability and validity, which is suitable for a wide range of Chinese patients with anterior and middle skull base tumors to assess their quality of life.

Objective:To investigate the application of modified Dix-Hallpike maneuver in the diagnosis of posterior semicircular canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Method:The modified Dix-Hallpike maneuver, supine roll maneuver and classical Dix-Hallpike maneuver were performed respectively. The sensitivity and specificity of modified and classical Dix-Hallpike maneuver in the diagnosis of posterior semicircular canal BPPV was compared. Result:Fifty-five posterior semicircular canal BPPV patients showed both modified and classical Dix-Hallpike maneuver positive result, including 12 cases of rotational nystagmus induced by ipsilateral supine roll maneuver. Conclusion:Modified Dix-Hallpike maneuver and classical Dix-Hallpike maneuver have the same effect on the diagnosis of posterior semicircular canal BPPV, but the former is easy to the operation, nystagmus observation and result judgment, and is conducive to the promotion of use..

To reveal the association between retinal microvasculature changes and coronary heart disease (CHD), we assessed the full retinal thicknesses of eight areas, the vessel density of four layers (consisting of nine areas) and the flow area in two layers with optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) in CHD patients and healthy controls. The mean vessel density of several layers was significantly lower in patients. The difference in choroid capillary flow (negative correlation) between the two groups was significant. Decreased vessel density and blood flow were associated with coronary artery and branch stenosis. The decreases in retinal vessel density, choroidal vessel density, and blood flow area are closely related to coronary artery and branch stenosis.

Epigenetic mutations caused by pollutants are possibly linked to many diseases. Benzo(a)pyrene (BaP) is one of the most representative air pollutants and has aroused wide concern because of its strong carcinogenicity. The reproductive toxicity induced by BaP has been identified, but little is known about the characteristics of the methylation changes induced by BaP. In this study, a methylated DNA immunoprecipitation sequencing method was used to detect the methylation of sperm DNA of rats exposed to BaP. Compared with the respective genes in normal rats, there were 3227 hypomethylated genes and 828 hypermethylated genes after BaP exposure. Gene ontology enrichment analysis reported that differentially methylated genes (DMGs) were enriched in the localization, single-multicellular organism process and plasma membrane. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analysis showed that the DMGs were significantly enriched in the Ras signalling pathway, Rap1 signalling pathway, pancreatic secretion and neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction. DisGeNET disease spectrum analysis showed that DMGs were associated with infertility and certain genetic diseases. Further research needs to be done to explore whether these abnormal methylation are transgenerational.

Objective: To analyze labor progression characteristics among nulliparas and provide reference to labor progress management. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 1 089 women who went for vaginal delivery at the First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yet-San University from January 1st, 2015 to May 31th, 2016. The duration of cervical dilation from 1.0 cm to the next and the process of initial cervical dilation (2.0 cm or 3.0 cm) to full cervical dilation of nulliparas were analyzed. Results: The cervical dilation speed was accelerating with the progress of labor. The rate of cervical dilation changed fastest between 5.0-6.0 cm dilation, which was more than 3.0 cm/hour. With regard to labor curves, at admission of 2.0 cm cervical dilation, it rose dramatically from 5.0 cm dilation. At admission of 3.0 cm dilation, it presented approximately linear rising before 5.5 cm dilation, then became steeper. Conclusions: The cervical dilation speed is fast. Both labor curves of initial cervical dilation (2.0 cm or 3.0 cm) to full cervical dilation show obvious acceleration stage with steep slope.

With the wide spread of dental implantation, more and more soft and hard tissue illness related to dental implants occurred. According to a statistical analysis, about 1/4 to 1/2 patients are under the risk of suffering from peri-implant diseases. Peri-implant diseases include peri-implant mucotitis and peri-implantitis. The former is connected with soft tissue while the latter is related to hard tissue around dental implant. This article reviews the diagnosis, classification and treatment of peri-implant diseases.

Objective: To characterize the gut microbial community structure of two-kidney-one-clip (2K1C) hypertensive rats, provide new evidences for prevention and treatment of hypertension. Methods: Adult male SD rats were divided into 2K1C hypertensive model group and sham operation group (n=8 each). Blood pressure was recorded by tail-cuff technique weekly for 4 weeks. Then, the total fecal DNA of rats in 2K1C model group and sham operation group were extracted. The structure and principal components of intestinal flora in 2K1C model rats and sham operated rats were analyzed using Hiseq3000 sequencing platform. Additionally, real time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction technology was used to detect the content of predominant bacteria, including Escherichia, Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus and Bacteroides. Results: Compared with sham operation group, significant reduction in the relative abundance of Firmicutes (31.72 (30.06, 32.18) vs. 40.99 (38.78, 44.41), U=0.00, P<0.05) and increase in Bacteroidetes (48.13(41.16,50.25) vs. 27.81(25.84,31.38),U=0.00, P<0.05) were observed in the fecal samples from model group. The relative abundance of Escherichia coli (0.08(0.07,0.11) vs. 0.07(0.06,0.08),U=12.50, P<0.05) was increased and the short chain fatty acid producing strains such as Coprococcus, Roseburia, Blautia, Clostridium and Bacteroides was reduced in 2K1C model group than in sham operation group (all P<0.05). Moreover, the relative abundance of Prevotella (Bacteroidetes) was also significantly higher in 2K1C model group than in sham operation group (18.14(17.78,18.75) vs.1.83(1.50,5.19), U=0.00, P<0.05). Moreover, the relative abundance of Ruminococcus (Firmicutes) was significant higher in 2K1C model group than in sham operation group (7.73(6.04,9.34) vs. 3.68(2.46,4.67),U=0.00, P<0.05). Principal coordinate analysis showed that there was significant difference in the gut microbial community structure between 2K1C model group and sham operation group. Conclusion: There are significant changes in the gut microbial community structure in 2K1C model group as compared to sham operation group, indicating renovascular hypertension might affect gut microbial community structure in this rat model.

OBJECTIVE: Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a kind of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases that seriously endangers human health. The pathogenesis of UC is closely related to the intestinal immune response. Cytokines exert a key role in the regulation of intestinal inflammatory and immune responses. Abnormalities in the function and quantity of various cytokines or imbalance of inflammatory factors and immune factors would lead to UC development. We aimed to investigate whether Kruppel-like transcription factor 2 (KFL2) participates in the development of ulcerative colitis by regulating inflammation, so as to provide a new direction for the clinical treatment. PATIENTS AND METHODS: 40 UC patients were enrolled in this study, including 20 patients with mild ulcerative colitis (MUC) and 20 with severe ulcerative colitis (SUC). 20 normal end of intestinal tissues surgically resected from patients with colorectal cancer in the same period were selected as the control group. Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining was used to detect the inflammatory infiltration of intestinal mucosa tissues. Expressions of interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-8 (IL-8), interleukin-10 (IL-10) and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of each group were detected by qRT-PCR (quantitative Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction). Immunohistochemistry was performed to observe the infiltration of IL-6 and TNF-α in intestinal mucosal tissues. Protein and mRNA levels of KLF2 in PBMCs of each group were detected by Western blot and qRT-PCR, respectively. The relationship between the mRNA level of KLF2 in PBMCs and expressions of IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, TNF-α were analyzed using qRT-PCR. RESULTS: Inflammatory cells and cytokines were infiltrated in the intestinal mucosa of UC patients. IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, and TNF-α were overexpressed in PBMCs of UC patients than those of controls. Protein and mRNA levels of KLF2 in PBMCs of UC patients were remarkably lower than those of controls, which were more significant in SUC patients. Meanwhile, KLF2 was closely related to expressions of IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, and TNF-α in PBMCs of UC patients. CONCLUSIONS: KLF2 was downregulated in PBMCs of UC patients than that of normal controls, which participated in the inflammatory response of UC by regulating expressions of IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, and TNF-α. KLF2 may suggest new treatments for ulcerative colitis.

OBJECTIVE: We aimed at investigating the pathological mechanism changing of injury during reperfusion injury, reperfusion time correlation and compliance, finding the blood supply and improving the secondary damage. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A total of 180 patients who underwent a surgical procedure and that received normal saline intraperitoneally immediately after the patients' aortic occlusions were investigated. Patients were divided in three groups. Experimental conditions and programs were designed for various approaches. RESULTS: Thirty min after the onset of ischemia, we found a decrease in the local blood flow in the lumbar spinal cord, almost -77.48% of the baseline, which was reversed partially by initial reperfusion, even exceeding the baseline level. However, 1 hour after reperfusion, the blood flow was again decreased to the level below the baseline, followed by a decline to 207.13% ± 38.25 PU for 3 h without any recovery. Attenuating this secondary damage with neuroprotective strategies requires an understanding of these pathophysiologic processes. CONCLUSIONS: This study showed the pathological mechanism changes during reperfusion injury and reperfusion time correlation and compliance, and analyzed some of the important pathophysiologic processes involved in secondary damage after spinal cord injury. Moreover, our research discusses a number of pharmacologic therapies that have either been studied or have future potential for this devastating injury.

BACKGROUND: Management of high-grade T1 (formerly T1G3) bladder cancer continues to be controversial. Should patients with T1G3 bladder cancer have an immediate radical cystectomy or should they receive intravesical bacillus Calmette-Guérin preserving bladder? Gemcitabine and cisplatin (GC) adjuvant chemotherapy may help to strike a balance between intravesical and early cystectomy. For purposes of this study, we continue to refer high-grade T1 lesion as "T1G3." OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the characteristics and the long-term outcome of GC adjuvant chemotherapy in T1G3 bladder cancer after transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT). MATERIALS AND METHODS: We, retrospectively, reviewed 48 patients who were newly diagnosed with T1G3 bladder cancer between January 2009 and December 2012. A total of 48 patients received 4 cycles of GC adjuvant chemotherapy after TURBT. One month after 4 cycles of GC adjuvant chemotherapy, response was evaluated by re-TURBT. Median follow-up was 59.5 (range: 18-70) months, all patients have been observed for more than 3 years. Salvage cystectomy was recommended for patients with persistent disease and for tumor progression after initial complete response. RESULT: Complete response was achieved in 44 (91.7%) patients. Of complete responders, 5 patients experienced recurrence and 5 patients showed progression. The progression rate and disease-specific survival rate were 10.4% and 91.7% at 3 years, respectively. More than 80% of survivors preserved their bladder. Kaplan-Meier curves showed that concomitant carcinoma in situ (CIS) was the only factor that had an influence on progression-free survival (P = 0.022) and disease-specific survival (P = 0.017). Concomitant CIS was the prognostic factor for progression rate and disease-specific survival rate at 3 years (P = 0.008 and P = 0.035). CONCLUSION: GC adjuvant chemotherapy is a safe conservative treatment for T1G3 bladder cancer, but effective is really a phase II study. Patients with T1G3 bladder cancer with concomitant CIS should be treated more aggressively because of the high risk of progression.

A multipoint gas sensing scheme based on photoacoustic spectroscopy was proposed. Multiple photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) gas cells (resonant frequency f0=5.0 kHz) were connected in series for the multipoint gas sensing with wavelength modulation technique. The PAS signal was excited by modulating the tunable distributed feedback laser diode wavelength at f0/2 using a changing driving current. The gas concentration of each gas cell was obtained by the PAS signal, which was demodulated by the lock-in amplifier. A multipoint PAS experiment to detect the water vapor at 1368.597 nm was implemented to verify the scheme we presented. With the three PAS gas cells, the linear response to the water vapor concentration of our sensors achieved 0.9978, 0.99591, and 0.99617, and their minimum detection limits were 479, 662, and 630 ppb, respectively.

Objective: To evaluate the visual outcomes of patients with visual impairment after resecting skull base tumor via an endoscopic endonasal approach, and to analyze the factors affecting visual recovery. Methods: One hundred and fifty-three patients with skull base tumor who suffered from preoperative visual impairment from Skull Base Surgery Center of Xuanwu Hospital were operated through an endoscopic endonasal approach. Both preoperative and postoperative visual function outcomes as well as factors that might have affected their visual recovery were analyzed retrospectively by Chi square test and Logistic regression analysis. Results: Complete resection was achieved in 85.6% of the patients using this technique. The rate of postoperative visual recovery in the female group (86.1%) was higher than that in the male group (73.9%), the benign group (90.2%) higher than the malignant group (20.0%), the group without optic atrophy (97.1%) higher than the one with (51.2%), and the acute group (96.6%) higher than the chronic group (80.0%). Significant differences were found between the abovementioned groups (χ(2) value was 5.849, 87.860, 79.757, 4.745, respectively, all P<0.05). The degree of optic atrophy and the property of tumors were significantly associated with visual improvement after treatment (Wold χ(2) value was 18.597 and 35.623, all P<0.001). Conclusions: Our results indicate that endoscopic endonasal surgery shows its ability both to resect skull base tumors and to improve visual function in the majority of patients. The timing of treatment for patients suffered from preoperative visual impairment should be selected in early stage before optic atrophy occurs.

The lack of high-performance tactile sensors, especially for pressure/force, is a huge obstacle for the widespread application of intelligent robots. Current pressure sensors are often operated in the high range of pressure and normal direction, showing a little ability in the low range of pressure and three-axis direction simultaneously. Herein, a highly sensitive flexible tactile sensor with three-axis force sensing capacity is presented by combining microstructured polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) arrays and a reduced graphene oxide (rGO) film. The deformation of microstructured rGO/PDMS results in a change in the contact area between the rGO film and electrode, leading to a high sensitivity of -1.71 kPa-1 in the low range pressure of 0-225 Pa with a fast response time of 6 ms at a large feature size of 100 µm. To realize three-axis sensing, a sensing unit was built up, which was composed of the adjacent four parts of patterns and electrodes underneath a bump. A mechanical model of the exerted spatial force was established to calculate each axis force component via the deformation of the rGO/PDMS pattern. The experimental results show that the current difference between the adjacent two parts has a strong relationship with the applied force. As a proof of concept, we have demonstrated a 3 × 3 array sensor for arbitrary force sensing. Our tactile sensor would be used in transmitting information from a gentle spatial force and would exhibit broad applications as e-skin in integrated robots.

Objective: To investigate the heart rate control situation of chronic heart failure (CHF) patients who received cardiovascular implantable electronic device (CIED) therapy, and to assess the heart rate control efficacy by optimized medication adjustment. Methods: We performed a perspective study in heart failure with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (HFrEF) patients who received CIED according to guideline recommendations, patients were enrolled from January 2012 to January 2017. Resting heart rate (RHR) recorded by electrocardiogram after 10 minutes' rest and medication usage within 1 month were recorded at baseline. RHR less than 70 beats per minute (bpm) was regarded as well controlled. ß-receptor blockers and (or) ivabradine would be added in patients whose RHR were over 70 bpm. RHR after optimized medication adjustment was recorded during follow-up period. Results: One hundred and fifty patients were included in this study with average RHR (80.6±11.9) bpm. RHR was<70 bpm in 27.3% (41/150) patients at baseline and ß-receptor blockers was underused in 80.7% patients (88/109) whose RHR was>70 bpm. The overall RHR decreased to (73.1±10.4) bpm and percent of patients with RHR<70 bpm increased to 70.0% (105/150) after up-titration of ß-receptor blockers compared to baseline (χ2=52.958, P<0.001). Ivabradine was added in the rest 45 patients and RHR was<70 bpm in 43 out of 45 patients after ivabradine use. The overall RHR decreased to (67.1±2.7) bpm and percent of RHR<70 bpm significantly increased to 98.7% (148/150) (χ2=44.504, P<0.001 vs. up-titration of ß-receptor blockers only). Conclusion: RHR in CHF patients who received CIED therapy is not ideally controlled in this patient cohort, individual up-titration ofß-receptor blockers and ivabradine use may help to optimize RHR in these patients.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effetcs of autophagy on the proliferation of renal carcinoma (RCCs). MATERIALS AND METHODS: Authophagy related protein 7 (Atg7)-overexpressing and knockdown RCC cell lines were established using lentiviral transfection and shRNA interference, respectively. (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide) (MTT) was used to determine the Cell growth rate, and western blot was used to determine the expression of protein. In order to establish xenograft animal models, stable transfected cells were injected into nude mice. After that those mice were used to detect the effect of autophagy on the growth of RCC in vivo. RESULTS: Atg7 overexpression could up-regulate the level of LC3II in RCC cell lines, while Atg7-knockdown suppressed the expression of light chain 3 II (LC3II) in RCC cell lines. Atg7-overexpression cells exhibited a decreased growth profile, while suppressing the expression of Atg7 could accelerate the growth of RCC formed tumors. CONCLUSIONS: Our data indicated that autophagy could suppress the growth of RCC cells in vivo and in vitro, and autophagy appeared to be a new therapeutic target for treating advanced renal cell carcinoma.

Objective: To explore the imaging characteristics and related influencing factors of in-stent neoatherosclerosis (ISNA) in patients with restenosis after drug-eluting stent(DES) implantation with optical coherence tomography(OCT). Methods: A total of 25 cases of coronary heart disease patients(DES placement time ≥8 months) with coronary artery angiography showing DES in-stent restenosis (ISR) in Zunyi medical college affiliated hospital from July 2013 to December 2015 were included in this study and patient's data were retrospectively analyzed.In these patients with ISR, OCT images were acquired before percutaneous coronary intervention. Patients were divided into the ISNA group (12 patients and 12 lesions) and non-ISNA group(13 patients and 13 lesions) according to the result of OCT. ISNA on OCT was defined as neointima formation with the presence of lipids or calcification. Results: (1) The incidence of chronic kidney disease and increased low-density lipoprotein cholesterol level in ISNA group were significant higher than that in non-ISNA group(all P<0.05). The stent implantation time in ISNA group was longer than that in the non-ISNA group(53.0(14.0, 81.0) months vs. 15.0(8.5, 32.5) months, P<0.01). In addition, clinical manifestation of acute coronary syndrome was present in 8 out of 12 patientsin ISNA group, and stable angina pectoris was found in 10 out of 13 casesin non-ISNA group(P<0.01). (2) Quantitative analysis of OCT showed that the lumen area was less in ISNA group than in non-ISNA group((3.45±1.82)mm(2) vs. (4.17±1.68)mm(2), P<0.01), and neointimal area(3.89(2.26, 5.52)mm(2) vs. 2.96(1.99, 4.22)mm(2), P<0.01), neointimal load (53.15(40.18, 67.30)% vs. 41.54(32.08, 56.91)%, P<0.01), neointimal thickness(0.98(0.63, 1.36)µm vs. 0.72(0.51, 1.03)µm, P<0.01) were higher in ISNA group than in non-ISNA group.(3)Qualitative analysis of OCT showed that the prevalence of homogeneous intima was less in the ISNA group than in the non-ISNA group ((41.42±22.56)% vs.(72.06±18.68)%, P<0.05), on the contrary, the heterogeneous intima was more common in the ISNA group ((58.57±22.56)% vs. (27.94±18.68)%, P<0.05). There was no significant difference between two groups in the peri-stentmicrovessels (9/12 vs. 5/13,P>0.05), and prevalence of intraintimalmicrovessels was higher in the ISNA group than in non-ISNA group (7/12 vs. 2/13, P<0.05). In addition, thin cap fibrous plaque(7/12 vs. 0, P<0.01), disrupted intima with visible cavity (7/12 vs. 1/13, P<0.05),andintraluminal red thrombus(7/12 vs. 1/13, P<0.05) were significantly higher in ISNA group than in non-ISNA group. Conclusions: Results of OCT show that ISNA occurs frequently in patients with ISR after DES implantation. The stent implantation time, incidence of chronic kidney disease and higher low-density lipoprotein cholesterol level are associated with the formation of ISNA in these patients.
