RESUMO

The emergence of fintech services in the insurance industry has been a transformative force, reshaping how insurance companies operate, how policies are sold, and how customers interact with their insurers. Financial technology developments, also known as "fintech," are changing how financial services are offered, presenting novel possibilities for the insurance industry worldwide. However, in the Malaysian insurance and takaful industry a good number of customers are still dependent on conventional channels like agents and brokers continue to be important sources for purchases and payments related to insurance instead of using Fintech services. The insurance industry's success and growth are highly dependent on adopting technological services offered by companies to make the process efficient and profitable. So, this study aimed to empirically identify the determinants influencing Malaysia's insurance and takaful industry customers to accept the fintech services for insurance-related transactions and activities. The research combined two prominent technology adoption models UTAUT2, and Delone and Mclean IS Success, and proposed a new research framework. The data for the research has been collected from the insurance and takaful industry customers through Google Forms. Finally, 350 responses were received. The PLS-SEM method was utilized to investigate the data by Smart PLS 3.2.9 software. The result of the study revealed that effort expectancy, information quality, service quality, system quality, and perceived risk impact behavioral intention to use fintech services (BI). In addition, the actual use of fintech services is impacted by behavioral intention. Nevertheless, no impact was found in the case of performance expectancy and social influence on BI. The findings of the study are helpful for academicians, researchers, and insurance companies to explore determinants for fintech services acceptance.

RESUMO

From the COVID-19 pandemic, e-government is a crucial tool in managing crisis and coping with change through communication and collaboration between the government, private, and civil sectors. The objective of this study was to develop an e-government development success model from the perspective of Thai citizens using integrated multiple concepts and to examine factors affecting the behavioral intention of citizens in e-government. A sample is Thai people in all regions of Thailand (n = 540) and analyzes by Structural Equation Model (SEM). The hypothesis testing found that factors directly influencing behavioral intention were information quality, system quality, service quality, citizen satisfaction, perceived usefulness, computer self-efficacy, and trust in government. Trust in government was the most direct influencing factor and was the mediating variable between perceived privacy and perceived security leading to behavioral intention. The results will benefit governments in developing e-government to drive the digital economy and society further.

RESUMO

This study constructs an innovative course for accounting teaching based on a student-centered strategy. The curriculum is designed through the effective teaching module (BOPPPS) to assist students to understand accounting knowledge. A game-based mobile learning environment is created by developing an accounting mobile game and combining it with a mobile learning system (TronClass). The private technology university students had been selected by purposive sampling. A total of 81 accounting majored students, among them, 41 students are in the experimental group, and the rest were in the control group. The quasi-experimental design was to be applied in curriculum development. Meanwhile, quantitative data were collected by questionnaires and the qualitative data were collected through interviews. The result shows that game-based mobile learning can be beneficial to teaching effectiveness. And the regression model supports that information quality and service quality have positive predictive power on use intention. In addition, use intention and user satisfaction impacted learning engagement positively. Further, user satisfaction has a mediating effect. Finally, some suggestions are put forward to provide references for accounting educators and researchers.

RESUMO

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the availability of online higher education programs and tools has grown rapidly. One example is an individual digital study assistant (IDSA) for students, which provides functionalities to train self-regulation skills, to engage with own educational goals and to offer automated, first-level support to higher education institution (HEI) units and employees. An IDSA further can guide students through HEI and their administration. But, what are the critical success factors (CSF) and challenges for an IDSA? We deduce these using a mixed methods approach with one quantitative student survey, two rounds of interviews with various HEI experts, and a literature review. We classified our results according to the information system (IS) success model of DeLone & McLean (2016). Our results and findings show, e.g., that skilled and reliable HEI personnel, well-organized and useful content, cross-platform usability, ease of use, and students' social factors are essential. Attractive IDSA functionalities are a major challenge because students use many apps, daily. Based on our CSF and challenges, we deduce theoretical and practical recommendations and develop a further research agenda.

RESUMO

Previous research on e-learning in underdeveloped countries has seldom taken a comprehensive approach. A literature review of recent published research in the field of e-learning use during the COVID-19 epidemic is also included in this study. Therefore, the aim of this study is to look at the technology acceptance model (TAM) and information systems (IS) performance models to see how system quality (SYQ), service quality (SEQ), and quality of life (QoL) are related, as well as the mediating impact of perceived ease of use (PEU) and perceived usefulness (PU), affect students' behavioral intention to use (BIU), and actual use of an e-learning system (AUE) as sustainability for education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Path analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) were used to evaluate the research model, using the data from e-learning users obtained through a survey. Participants were e-learning users from two Saudi Arabian public universities. The findings revealed that PU and ease of use were positively correlated and influenced by SYQ, SEQ, and QoL in education, and that PEU and PU were positively influenced by students' BIU and AUE system. In the sense of e-learning in developing countries, previous studies rarely looked at an integrated model. This paper also attempts to provide a recently published study in the area of the use of an e-learning system as sustainability for education during the COVID-19 pandemic. There is a lot of ongoing research.

RESUMO

Tax collection is an essential activity to boost the economy of all countries. Larger businesses and governments are increasingly relying on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, which are designed to enhance the collection of revenues among other things. However, the implementation of an ERP system often affects the organizational climate by changing the manner businesses are conducted from the past both internally and externally. These changes have the tendency to impact the actions of workers throughout the transition process. Nevertheless, organization climate which is an essential variable to measure the success of ERPs is mostly underutilized. Thus in this study, we proposed an information system (IS) success model that integrates organizational climate variables namely, role clarity, teamwork and support, and, training and learning into the DeLone and McLean model to evaluate the success of a tax ERP system. The proposed model was based on a quantitative and a mixed-method case study (MM-CS). Data was gathered from a top company with many branches in Ghana through interviews, observation, focus groups, and questionnaires. Partial least squares structural equation modeling was used to examine the 555 data collected from the questionnaire. The result of the study shows that the organizational climate variables (training & learning, teamwork & support, and role clarity) were statistically significant in determining the success of a tax ERP system. Training & learning and teamwork & support also had a positive impact on service quality, user satisfaction, and individual impact.

RESUMO

Video game streaming has become a popular leisure activity which, depending on content, level of skill, and user interest, reaches a wide array of audiences. Using streaming platforms, client users are able to broadcast their video gameplays and use chat rooms to interact with other viewers and game players in real time. This paper aimed to develop and examine a theoretical explanation concerning the formation of client users' satisfaction with, perceived net benefits of, and continuance intention to use a particular streaming platform. The study employed the updated IS Success Model. An online questionnaire was designed for individuals who were game streaming users of a streaming platform. A total of 632 usable responses were used in the data analysis. The results pointed out that system quality, information quality, service quality, and user motivation all positively and significantly affected user satisfaction. User satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on perceived net benefits and continuance intention to use a streaming platform. Perceived net benefits positively and significantly related to continuance intention to use a particular streaming platform. The moderating effect of emotional involvement between user satisfaction and perceived net benefits was confirmed.

RESUMO

The appearance of the coronavirus pandemic had several implications on the educational process, which caused students, at all educational levels, to resort to digital libraries as the available educational opportunity in this challenging time. This study sheds light on the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) as one of the largest digital libraries in the world. It empirically evaluates the EKB, using the updated Information Systems Success (ISS) model proposed by DeLone and McLean (2003), among postgraduate business students in the context of Egyptian universities with a sample of 245 students. The results indicate that all nine hypotheses derived from the research model are supported and significant, contributing either directly or indirectly to the success of the EKB. Hence, the results confirm the validity of the ISS model in measuring the success of the EKB. These findings highlight as well the significance of investing more deeply in digital libraries as a coping mechanism for the educational recovery process from COVID-19 and the importance of creating awareness among students about digital libraries in order to sustain the learning process in a safe environment.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The e-learning system has gained a phenomenal significance than ever before in the present COVID-19 crisis. The E-learning delivery mechanisms have evolved to enhanced levels facilitating the education delivery with greater penetration and access to mass student population worldwide. Nevertheless, there is still scope to conduct further research in order to innovate and improve higher quality delivery mechanism using the state-of-the-art information and communication technologies (ICT) available today. In the present pandemic crisis all the stakeholders in the higher education system, i.e., the governments, institutions, and the students expect seamless and efficient content delivery via e-learning platforms. This study proposes the adoption of the e-learning system by the integration of the model proposed by Delon and Mcclean "Information System Success Model" in Jazan University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and further attempts to identify the factors affecting E-learning applications' success among the students. METHODS: The data were gathered from 568 respondents. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 26 (SPSS v.26.0) was used for the data analysis and one-way ANOVA is applied to test the hypothesis. RESULT: The overall results of this study allude to the fact that there is a significant relationship between Information system Success Model factors and the adoption of e-learning systems. The research results indicated that the information system success model has a strong associating cost-benefit value towards the adoption of e-learning systems across the Jazan University that may be further expanded to the other Saudi universities.

RESUMO

Online food delivery (OFD) has gradually become a development trend in the catering industry. However, the homogenization of the principal OFD platforms is becoming increasingly obvious, and there is an urgent need to explore the continuous usage intentions of consumers of the OFD platform. Unlike previous studies, this study employs DeLone and McLean's information system (IS) success model as the theoretical framework and constructs the influencing factors model of the continued usage intentions of users of the OFD platform from three aspects, namely, service, system, and information quality. Participants (N = 361) completed a questionnaire assessing their continuous usage intentions of the OFD platform, and the results were analyzed using a structural equation model (SEM). Service worker, platform quality, and content consistency have significant positive effects on the trust in the platform and satisfaction of consumers. Both the trust in the platform and satisfaction of consumers have a positive impact on their continuous usage intentions. We also explored the mediating effect of the trust in the platform and satisfaction of consumers. This study adds to the academic literature and practical implications for the continuous usage intention of consumers. This study discusses the influencing factors and formation mechanism of the continuous usage intention of consumers and proposes a model of the continuous usage intention of consumers of OFD platforms. Moreover, OFD platforms can make differentiation strategies more targeted and eliminate the dilemma of homogenization competition of OFD platforms.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of perceived security, perceived privacy, and satisfaction on Facebook user continuance intention. In addition, the serial multiple mediating effects of trust and satisfaction on the relationship between continuance intention and Facebook determinants are explored. This study also investigates the moderating role of Facebook addiction on the relationship between satisfaction and continuance intention. DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH: To achieve the study aims, an online survey was conducted among university undergraduate students. Data were collected from 450 voluntary participants. The statistical analysis was performed using SPSS and PROCESS macro models. FINDINGS: The study results confirm that perceived privacy and satisfaction have significant impacts on Facebook continuance intention. The path analysis results confirm the full mediating roles of trust and satisfaction in the relationship between perceived security and continuance intention. Furthermore, the moderating role of Facebook addiction on the relationship between satisfaction and continuance intention is confirmed. PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: The results of this study offer insights to Facebook managers and policymakers regarding the treatment of and intervention in Facebook continuance intention. The results disclose the critical role of users' satisfaction and perceived privacy in influencing Facebook users' continuance intention for Facebook managers and policymakers. This confirms that Facebook managers and policymakers must maintain user privacy to increase the level of user satisfaction and continuance intention. Furthermore, they must ensure that the requisite security mechanisms are in place to increase user trust and satisfaction that influence users' continuance intention. ORIGINALITY/VALUE: This research integrated perceived privacy, perceived security, and trust with an Information System (IS) success model. This is the first study to investigate the serial mediating effects of trust and satisfaction on the determinants of Facebook continuance intention. The moderating effects of Facebook addiction on the relationship between satisfaction and continuance intention are also examined. The study results make important contributions to Facebook continuance intention research and advance scholarship into aspects of undergraduate students' continuance intention in the context of Facebook.

RESUMO

While several educational institutions in India, in accordance to global practices, have adopted Web-Based Learning Management Systems (WLMS) to supplement classroom courses, it is largely seen that these WLMSs fail in their objectives, leading to little or no return on investments. The study aims to define the factors that affect students' acceptance of a web-based learning management system and test the moderating effect of their academic involvement in the success of a WLMS. 477 valid questionnaires were collected from university/college students to empirically test the research model using the structural equation modelling approach. The results concludes that indirect and direct effects account for 49% of the variation in the intention to use, which is explained by technical system quality, information quality, educational quality, service quality of the technical support team and user satisfaction. High academic involvement moderates the impact of different service qualities of the WLMS on user satisfaction, intention to use the system, and success of the WLMS. Based on the findings, theoretical and managerial implications are discussed.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Because medical personnel share different work shifts (i.e., three work shifts) and do not have a fixed work schedule, implementing timely, flexible, and quick e-learning methods for their continued education is imperative. Hospitals are currently focusing on developing e-learning. OBJECTIVE: This study aims to explore the key factors that influence the effectiveness of e-learning in medical personnel. METHODS: This study recruited medical personnel as the study participants and collected sample data by using the questionnaire survey method. RESULTS: This study is based on the information systems success model (IS success model), a significant model in MIS research. This study found that the factors (i.e., information quality, service quality, convenience, and learning climate) influence the e-learning satisfaction and in turn influence effectiveness in medical personnel. CONCLUSIONS: This study provided recommendations to medical institutions according to the derived findings, which can be used as a reference when establishing e-learning systems in the future.

RESUMO

To ensure the introduction of a health information system (HIS) is on track and will bring in the ex-pected outcomes, it is essential to evaluate the critical success factors at every stage of the system introduction life cy-cle. Based on comprehensive literature research and personal experience of evaluating HIS, the author proposes a multi -method approach that incorporates both quantitative and qualitative research, conceptualized through the DeLone and McLean Information Systems Success Model. The advantage of this approach is not only identifying the factors impacting on implementation success, but also distinguishing the critical factors from the less important ones. Thus it will facilitate management in prioritizing effort to address the key challenges at different stages of system introduction. This evidence -based management decision support will reduce the failure rate and maximize the benefits of HIS investment.
