RESUMO

This paper introduces a fast repair methods of Versa HD volume-modulated accelerator's high voltage circuit fault:the key points test method. To identify five key points:①Enter maintenance mode to check for AFC deviation; ② The magnetron waveform MI and PFN waveform PFN V are detected on the maintenance terminal board; ③ Detect thyratron waveform; ④ Check the supply voltage of thyratron; ⑤ HT PSU 600 V DC test 600 V normal or not. The waveform or voltage is also measured to efficiently narrow the fault range to find out the cause of the fault, quickly remove the fault.

RESUMO

Our analysis of coronavirus disease prevalence in 9 long-term care facilities demonstrated a high proportion (40.7%) of asymptomatic infections among residents and staff members. Infection control measures in congregate settings should include mass testing-based strategies in concert with symptom screening for greater effectiveness in preventing the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2.

This study mainly discusses the contents, methods and characteristics of the collection of operation and maintenance data, as well as the establishment and evaluation methods of the distribution model of the failure time of medical electrical equipment. The distribution models of failure time at three levels of medical electrical equipment are established by linear regression method and goodness of fit test:The first is the device level MTBF distribution model, the second is the failure rate distribution model of the failure mode of key components, the third is the calculation model of the influence coefficient of influence factor on the failure mode of key components. This study presents a method of establishing MTBF segment model and implements a calculation model of influence coefficient varying with time.

This paper introduced the current situation of medical equipment. Based on the current problems such as technology assessment difficulty, weak consciousness on maintenance management, less quality control during clinic use and backward information level, the standardized management based on the whole process quality control was proposed. Combined the whole process quality control system with the construction of quality management information, the management level of the medical equipment was enhanced. The application of standardized management based on the whole process quality control can make the medical equipment work better in the clinic and set a good foundation for the development of hospital.

RESUMO

The Fresenius 4008 S hemodialysis machine is one of the main hemodialysis machines in our hospital. Because of its longer service life, the probability of malfunction is larger. For flow alarm is the typical fault of this model, we combined with practical maintenance experience and theoretical technology, then briefly analyzed and summarized the malfunction. On the principle of easy to difficult, we check in order from five aspects, they are pipeline blockage, aging of the degassing pump or flow pump, the float switch malfunction, valve abnormality and the control circuit problem. Through this one-by-one and systematic troubleshooting, the flow alarm can usually be solved, also we can save the maintenance time and the cost.

The role of mobile robots for cleaning and sanitation purposes is increasing worldwide. Disinfection and hygiene are two integral parts of any safe indoor environment, and these factors become more critical in COVID-19-like pandemic situations. Door handles are highly sensitive contact points that are prone to be contamination. Automation of the door-handle cleaning task is not only important for ensuring safety, but also to improve efficiency. This work proposes an AI-enabled framework for automating cleaning tasks through a Human Support Robot (HSR). The overall cleaning process involves mobile base motion, door-handle detection, and control of the HSR manipulator for the completion of the cleaning tasks. The detection part exploits a deep-learning technique to classify the image space, and provides a set of coordinates for the robot. The cooperative control between the spraying and wiping is developed in the Robotic Operating System. The control module uses the information obtained from the detection module to generate a task/operational space for the robot, along with evaluating the desired position to actuate the manipulators. The complete strategy is validated through numerical simulations, and experiments on a Toyota HSR platform.

The daily operation and maintenance work of railways are very dangerous. Railway employees often have safety accidents while working, and the safety citizenship behavior (SCB) of railway employees can effectively reduce the accident rate. Therefore, it is of great significance to identify the main safety constructs affecting the SCB of railway employees to minimize accidents. This paper puts forward a supposed model of the influence mechanism of safety leadership (SL) on employee SCB through the mediation of safety attitude (SA). A questionnaire was used with railway employees, and 238 valid responses were finally collected. A structural equation model (SEM) was used to explore the relationship between SL, SA and SCB. The results showed the SL is positively related to the SA, and it can further promote the SCB of railway employees. In addition, SA has a positive impact on employee SCB.

Maintain Your Brain (MYB)i is a randomised controlled trial (RCT) of multiple online interventions designed to target modifiable risk factors for Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Traditional clinical trial management systems (CTMS) requirements consist of features such as management of the study, site, subject (participant), clinical outcomes, external and internal requests, education, data extraction and reporting, security, and privacy. In addition to fulfilling these traditional requirements, MYB has a specific set of features that needs to be fulfilled. These specific requirements include: (i) support for multiple interventions within a study, (ii) flexible interoperability options with third-party software providers, (iii) study participants being able to engage in online activities via web-based interfaces throughout the trial (from screening to follow-up), (iv) ability to algorithmically personalize trial activities based on the needs of the participant, and (v) the ability to handle large volumes of data over a long period. This paper outlines how the existing CTMSs fall short in meeting these specific requirements. The presented system architecture, development approach and lessons learned in the implementation of the MYB digital platform will inform researchers attempting to implement CTMSs for trials comparable to MYB in the future.

Airports are one of the segments within air transport and their serviceability ensures air transport efficiency. However, airports are among the largest contributors to the negative environmental impact of this kind of transport. Individual activities at airports leave a negative environmental footprint. By optimizing processes, it is possible to reduce the negative environmental impacts of these subjects. Airport winter maintenance is one of the important activities accompanying airports in geographical areas where winter season is expected due to the climate zone and weather conditions. Effective winter maintenance ensures optimal airport operation and has a significant impact on safety. However, the winter maintenance of the airport causes an excessive burden on the environment around the airports, in particular by applying de-icing agents to aircraft and movement areas, or by emissions and noise caused by equipment for snow and ice removal. The aim of the present article is to optimize the winter maintenance of the airport, namely the deployment of winter maintenance equipment with respect to meteorological conditions while maintaining the priorities for winter maintenance between individual airport areas. The aim of optimization is to achieve the saving of maintenance time and reduce the negative environmental impact of winter maintenance by effectively deploying equipment and devices.

BACKGROUND: According to a survey of the working population of women by industry, service industries accounted for the majority. OBJECTIVE: The effects of female worker's salary and self-rated health on safety education and compliance in three sectors of the service industry are reported. METHODS: A sample of 700 women service workers were surveyed; their age, work experience, salary, self-rated health, safety educational participation, and compliance were recorded. RESULTS: The salary of female service workers was directly related to safety educational participation and compliance, as well as the health levels they reported. CONCLUSIONS: The results suggest that an increase in the self-rated health and salary of female workers can contribute to enhancing safety educational participation and compliance. Development of educational programs in prevention and safety compliance is expected to contribute to the prevention of industrial accidents in the service sector.

BACKGROUND: Physicians must balance career and home responsibilities, yet previous studies on work-life balance are focused primarily on work-based tasks. We examined gender discrepancies and factors related to household responsibilities and work-life balance among pediatricians. METHODS: We used 2015 data from the American Academy of Pediatrics Pediatrician Life and Career Experience Study, a longitudinal study of early-career pediatricians. χ2 tests and multivariable logistic regression were used to examine the effects of gender on household responsibilities, satisfaction, and work-life balance attainment. We formally reviewed responses from 2 open-ended questions on work-life balance challenges and strategies for common themes. RESULTS: Seventy-two percent of participants completed the survey (1293 of 1801). Women were more likely than men to report having primary responsibility for 13 of 16 household responsibilities, such as cleaning, cooking, and routine care of children (all P < .001). All gender differences except budget management remained significant when controlling for part-time work status and spouse or partner work status (P < .05). Women were less satisfied with their share of responsibilities relative to others (52% vs 62%; P < .001), and few women and men report being very successful at achieving balance between their job and other life areas (15% vs 19%, respectively; P = .05). Open-ended responses (n = 1145) revealed many barriers to achieving work-life balance. Strategies to increase work-life balance included reducing work hours, outsourcing household-related work, and adjustments to personal responsibilities and relationships. CONCLUSIONS: Female pediatricians spend more time on household responsibilities than male pediatricians, and gender is a key factor associated with work-life balance satisfaction.

BACKGROUND: The study aimed to identify factors associated with an increased likelihood of aircraft maintenance personnel reporting a fatigue-related error.METHODS: There were 966 maintenance engineering personnel (mean age = 42 yr, 98% male) who completed a survey with items on personal factors, work factors and a question asking whether during the last month they had made an error in their work due to tiredness. Logistic regression analyses were used to determine factors independently associated with making an error at work due to tiredness.RESULTS: Respondents obtained on average 7.0 h sleep and nearly half (45%) reported that they had felt close to falling asleep while driving home from work in the past 12 mo. Most respondents (70%) had received no education on strategies for coping with shift work. Among respondents, 22% agreed/strongly agreed with the statement "During the last month, I have made an error in my work due to tiredness." Unexpected roster changes independently predicted the likelihood of reporting an error in work due to tiredness and for certain groups of aircraft maintenance personnel, < 6.5 h sleep increased the odds of an error in work due to tiredness fivefold, whereas > 7.5 h sleep almost halved the odds of reporting such an error.DISCUSSION: These findings indicate the importance of stable and predictable work patterns to minimize the risk of fatigue-related errors in this safety critical environment, and also the need for education on coping with shift work to ensure the workforce are best placed to manage their sleep away from work.Signal TL, van den Berg MJ, Mulrine HM. BACKGROUND: Service organizations and their employees encounter challenges today due to an increase in the average age of employees, a decrease in recruitment, and changes in work tasks, sites, and communities. These factors give rise to physical and psychosocial burdens that can lower the work ability and productivity of the employees. OBJECTIVE: The goal of this study is to find practical solutions for challenges related to the work environment and practices at a public in-house enterprise providing meal and cleaning services. Also, the design of a model for the management of these load factors at municipal workplaces, where stakeholders from different subdivisions work together, is intended. METHODS: The materials comprised of documents provided by the case organization, interviews, and work observations. Root cause analysis and participatory development sessions were carried out to find causes for the observed challenges and to discover practical solutions. RESULTS: A number of microergonomic solutions were found. Also, broader subjects for development, common to several target workplaces, were discovered. CONCLUSIONS: The concept of a shared workplace, proved useful in exploring ways to manage work ability and productivity. A generalizable macroergonomics model for the management of load factors at shared workplaces in the public sector was proposed.

Maintenance is a crucial subject in medical equipment life cycle management. Evidence-based maintenance consists of the continuous performance monitoring of equipment, starting from the evidence-the current state in terms of failure history-and improvement of its effectiveness by making the required changes. This process is very important for optimizing the use and allocation of the available resources by clinical engineering departments. Medical equipment maintenance is composed of two basic activities: scheduled maintenance and corrective maintenance. Both are needed for the management of the entire set of medical equipment in a hospital. Because the classification of maintenance service work orders reveals specific issues related to frequent problems and failures, specific codes have been applied to classify the corrective and scheduled maintenance work orders at Careggi University Hospital (Florence, Italy). In this study, a novel set of key performance indicators is also proposed for evaluating medical equipment maintenance performance. The purpose of this research is to combine these two evidence-based methods to assess every aspect of the maintenance process and provide an objective and standardized approach that will support and enhance clinical engineering activities. Starting from the evidence (i.e. failures), the results show that the combination of these two methods can provide a periodical cross-analysis of maintenance performance that indicates the most appropriate procedures. On the upper right it is shown an example of scheduled maintenance analysis for a specific class of equipment (legend in the article body).
