RESUMEN
Venezuela cuenta con normativas para llevar a cabo las funciones de una Autoridad Reguladora Nacional (ARN), sin embargo no dispone de un documento oficial que constituya las normas para regular su propio funcionamiento, verificar de forma efectiva, la integración y cumplimiento de sus acciones y dar parte a la población venezolana. El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad hacer una revisión de las normativas en las que se fundamenta nuestra Autoridad Reguladora Nacional, su plataforma para ejercer la regulación en el área de medicamentos, así como también evaluar las recomendaciones y requisitos establecidos por la Organización Mundial de la Salud para el desarrollo de las actividades regulatorias. Adicionalmente, revisar y comparar las normas en otras ARN en el área de Medicamentos y una vez realizada la revisión, se elaborará una propuesta de Normativa de Buenas Prácticas Regulatorias en Medicamentos, que aportará transparencia al ente regulador venezolano y por ende fortalecerá la estructura actual en pro de la certificación de nuestro país como Autoridad Reguladora Nacional de Referencia en la Región.
ABSTRACT
Venezuela has regulations to carry out the functions of an Authority National Regulatory Authority (ARN), however, it does not have an official document that constitutes the norms to regulate its own functioning, to verify in a effectively, the integration and fulfillment of its actions and inform the population Venezuelan. The purpose of this paper is to review the regulations on which our National Regulatory Authority is based, its platform to exercise regulation in the area of ​​medicines, as well as evaluate the recommendations and requirements established by the World Organization of Health for the development of regulatory activities. Additionally, review and compare the norms in other ARN in the Medicines area and once carried out review, a proposal for Good Practice Regulations will be drawn up Regulations in Medicines, which will provide transparency to the regulatory entity Venezuelan and therefore will strengthen the current structure in favor of the certification of our country as a Reference National Regulatory Authority in the Region.
