ABSTRACT
Epidemiological studies make up a large area of research playing an important role, because they reveal the prevalence of many diseases and particularize its distribution characteristics within the environment where they are being developed. The objective of this study was to analyze the epidemiological profile in accordance with histopathological results from patients treated at the Stomatology Department, through the project Diagnosis and Treatment of Injuries of Interest Dental and Oral Cancer Prevention at the State University of Londrina between 2008 to 2012. The analysis of 527 biopsy specimens revealed 183 cases in men and 344 in women. Additionally, the age ranged from 5 months to live to 108 years. The inflammatory fibrous hyperplasia was the most common lesion (49.5%), followed by, mucocele (11.1%), papilloma (8.1%), squamous cell carcinoma (3.6%) and pyogenic granuloma (3%)
