Representações sociais de estudantes de graduação em enfermagem sobre saúde

RESUMO

O objetivo do estudo é caracterizar as representações sociais dos estudantes de graduação em enfermagem sobre saúde além de analisar os modelos de conceber a saúde. Paratanto, o percurso metodológico traçado foi a realização do Teste de Evocação Livre com 172 estudantes, sendo 103 do primeiro período e 69 do último, de duas Universidades públicas do Rio de Janeiro. Realizou-se uma análise prototípica e de similitude com vistas a identificar os possíveis elementos do núcleo central e periféricos de cada grupo. A estrutura representacional dos estudantes de enfermagem sobre saúde possui semelhanças no que se refere as evocações que constituem o núcleo central de ambos os períodos. Com ordem de frequência diferenciada bem-estar, cuidado e hospital são os elementos que compõem o sistema central. No grupo dos iniciantes, o hospital é o principal articulador enquanto para os concluintes, é o bem-estar. A formação acadêmica incide na representação diminuindo o peso do hospital na estruturação da representação social. Nesta mesma perspectiva, na etapa final, também ocorre a evidência de bem-estar como possível estruturador da representação.Percebe-se que a representação social sobre saúde dos recém-ingressos está em construção e alicerçada no senso comum. Já as representações dos concluintes possuem uma complexa organização pautada majoritariamente em elementos do universo reificado.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this study is to characterize the social representations of nursing undergraduate students on health in addition to analyze the models of conceiving health. For both, the methodological path trace was the completion of free evocation test with 172 students, being 103 of the first period and 69 of the last, of two public universities of Rio de Janeiro. It was done a prototypical and similarity analysis in order to identify the possible elements of the central nucleus and peripheral of each group. The representational structure of nursing students on health has similarities in evocations that constitute the central nucleus of both periods. With the order of frequency differentiated welfare, care and hospital are the elements that make up the central system. In the group of beginners, the hospital is the main articulator while for the students who were graduating, is the well-being. The academic training focuses on reducing the weight of representation hospital in structuring of social representation. In this same perspective, in the final step, also occurs the evidence of well-being as possible structuring effect of representation.It is perceived that the social representation of health of beginners inflows is under construction and founded on common sense. The representations of High-school undergraduates have a complex organization characterized mostly by elements of reified universe.
