RESUMEN
A través del análisis de una colección de la revista mexicana especializada en Homeopatía La Reforma Médica, fechada en 1895, es posible conocer las influencias más evidentes del gremio homeopático mexicano del siglo XIX, destacando las provenientes de Estados Unidos, Francia y Alemania; además, gracias a esta retrospectiva se deducen el origen y la evolución de algunas ideas que respaldan al actual sistema médico homeopático mexicano. Al respecto, sobresale el uso de una estrategia para defender y difundir a la terapéutica hahnemanniana que consiste en conceptualizar a la Homeopatía como una “nueva medicina”, “nueva escuela”, “verdadera medicina” o “la única medicina científica”, en contraposición no sólo a la alopatía, sino a la medicina en general, a la que se menosprecia al llamarla “la antigua escuela”, “la escuela oficial” o “la escuela ortodoxa”. Esta táctica permitió el cumplimiento de ciertos objetivos, pero también ha ocasionado el aislamiento del gremio homeopático al cerrar la posibilidad de diálogo con otros médicos y con ciencias afines como la inmunología, la biofísica médica y la fisicoquímica. Por eso, el presente ensayo concluye con algunas propuestas para tratar de revertir estas ideas que pudieran ser la base de la actual crisis de identidad de los homeópatas en México. (AU)
ABSTRACT
Through the analysis about a collection of mexican magazine specializing in Homeopathy La Reforma Médica, dated 1895, is possible to know the most obvious influences of mexican homeopathic guild at the nineteenth century, highlighting from the United States, France and Germany, also thanks to this retrospective, are deduced the origin and evolution of some ideas that support the current mexican homeopathic medical system.In this regard, projects using a strategy to defend and disseminate the hahnemannian therapeutic consisting Homeopathy conceptualized as a “newmedicine”, “new school”, “real medicine” or “the only scientific medicine” as opposednot only allopathy, but to medicine in general, which is scorned by calling it “old school”, “school official” or “orthodox school”. This tactic allowed the fulfillment ofcertain goals, but has also led to the isolation of homeopathic union to close the possibility of dialogue with other medical and related sciences such as immunology, medical biophysics and physical chemistry. Therefore, this paper concludes with some proposals to try to reverse these ideas that could be the basis of the currentidentity crisis homeopaths in Mexico.
