RESUMO
It has been a number of cases of overorrection and recurrence of different techniques of club foot surgery as Codivilla,Turco,and the Roosevelt Institute (IFDR) modificated posteromedial relese techniques. 98 IFDR surgical procedures were performed in 71 patients during the last 4 years. Findings have shown that recurrence is twice as frecuent in female patients and overcorrection is 4 times more commun in male patients. Over correction and recurrence acount 10 of the cases. There were no correlation betweem the precense of clinical signs of rigid foot and the incidence of complications. The best results were obteined when do the ages ranged between 12 and 36 month. Preoperative radiological findings do not coorelate with the probability of over correction of recurrence
