RESUMO
Objetivou-se descrever as percepções e as práticas de Agentes Comunitários de Saúde em seu trabalho junto a adolescentes. Trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa com o emprego de entrevista semiestruturada com 28 agentes da zona urbana de Iguatu-CE, em julho de 2011. Análise de dados conforme proposta do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo. Os agentes pesquisados definiram características da adolescência baseadas em conhecimentos e no senso comum. A atuação do agente ocorre durante as visitas domiciliares, por meio de escuta e encaminhamentos à unidade de saúde. A prática desses trabalhadores se pauta no encontro e na confiança, revelando a existência de importante caminho a ser investido na atenção primária aos adolescentes.
ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to describe the perceptions and practices of Community Health Agents about their work with teenagers. This is qualitative research with the use of semi-structured interview with 28 agents working at the city of Iguatu urban area, Brazil, and carried out in July 2011. Data analysis followed the method predicted by the Discourse of Collective Subject. The agents involved in the research defined adolescence characteristics based on knowledge and common sense. Agent's action occurs during home visits, through listening and referrals to the Health Unit. These workers' practice is grounded on meetings and on trust, revealing the existence of a path-breaking approach towards adolescents' primary health.
