Neurólise com fenol no tratamento da espasticidade / Neurolysis with phenol in the treatment of spasticity

RESUMO

A Associação Médica Brasileira desencadeou junto às Sociedades de Especialidades a elaboração de Diretrizes Médicas, com o objetivo de padronizar condutas que auxiliam o raciocínio e a decisão do médico quanto ao diagnóstico e/ou tratamento de seus pacientes baseados em evidências científicas. A metodologia de avaliação da espasticidade foi um dos projetos elaborados pela Associação de Medicina Física e Reabilitação e, neste trabalho é apresentada a análise de neurólise com fenol no tratamento da espasticidade.

ABSTRACT

The Brazilian Medical Association triggered along the specialities Societies drafting of Medical Guidelines in order to standardize procedures that help the reasoning and the decision of the doctor regarding the diagnosis and/or treatment of their patients based on scientific evidence. Spasticity assessment methodology was one of the projects developed by the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Association and in this paper is presented the analysis neurolysis with phenol in the treament of spasticity.
