ABSTRACT
In the title compound, [Zn(C17H12NO4)2(H2O)2], the Zn(II) atom is located on a twofold rotation axis and is six-coordinated by four carboxyl-ate O atoms from two chelating 9-allyl-6-carb-oxy-9H-carbazole-3-carboxyl-ate ligands and two O atoms from two water mol-ecules. In the crystal, O-Hâ¯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules into a layer structure parallel to (-101).
