ABSTRACT

Objective: To investigate the relationship of intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1) and E-selectin with the pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD). Methods: The serum soluble ICAM-1(sICAM-1) and E-selectin(sE-selectin) and tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?) from 45 exacerbated COPD patients,35 stable patients and 30 healthy as controls were measured by double antibody sandwich quantitative enzyme linked immunosoebent assay(ELISA).
