A Diferença Sexual de Butler a Lacan: Gênero, Espécie e Família / The Sex Difference from Butler to Lacan: Genre, Species and Family

RESUMO Judith Butler está no centro do fecundo debate estabelecido entre psicanálise e estudos de gênero. A filósofa utiliza teses psicanalíticas em seu proveito. Porém, critica alguns de seus referenciais teóricos. Neste artigo, reexaminamos tais críticas à luz da teoria do Real e das fórmulas da sexuação de Lacan. Sugerimos que os apontamentos butlerianos dependem de um entendimento de ordem simbólica que identifica três instâncias sistemas de parentesco; gêneros de relação ao falo; e modalidades de gozo. A nosso ver, esse entendimento de diferença sexual, dualista e complementar, é revisto pela teoria lacaniana da disparidade do gozo. Também sustentamos que a teoria dos discursos, na quais homem e mulher são tomados como semblantes, abrem caminhos inovadores à pesquisa da diferença sexual.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT Judith Butler is in the center of the productive debate established between psychoanalysis and gender studies. The philosopher appeals to some psychoanalytic theories, but criticizes certain psychoanalytical references. In this article, we reexamine these criticisms resorting to Lacan's theory of the Real and the formulas of sexuation. We suggest that Butler's notes require an understanding of the symbolic order which identifies three instances kinship systems; genres of relation to the phallus; and juissance modalities. In our view, this understanding of sexual difference, dualistic and complementary, is reviewed by Lacan´s theory of juissance disparity. We also argue that the theory of discourse, in which man and woman are taken as semblant, brings innovative perspectives to sexual difference research.
