RESUMO
OBJETIVO: descrever as experiências recentes de jogos eletrônicos aplicados a área de saúde de forma a estabelecer o entendimento conceitual, o nível de desenvolvimento, e as características desse tipo de aplicação. MÉTODOS:Foi realizada uma revisão narrativa sobre a bibliografia pesquisada na Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde, Journal of Health Informatics e Games Health Journal além de livros e na Internet. RESULTADOS: Através das fontes revisadas foi possível conceituar, identificar e entender alguns dos requisitos e características de jogos eletrônicos para a saúde. CONCLUSÃO: Os estudos analisados mostram potenciais benefícios na construção de jogos eletrônicos para saúde e revelam o crescente interesse de comunidades científicas das áreas de desenvolvimento de sistema, game design e saúde sobre esse tipo de aplicação.
ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE: to describe recent experiences with eletronic games applied to health field in order to determinethe conceptual understanding, the level of development, and the characteristics of this type of application. METHODS: Anarrative review in bibliography searched in the Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde, Journal of Health Informatics and Games Health databases besides books and the Internet was performed. RESULTS: Through the sources consulted was possible to conceptualize, to identify and to understand some of requisites and characteristics of the eletronic games for health. CONCLUSION: The studies analyzed showed potential benefits in building eletronic games for health and reveal the incresing interest of the scientifc community of computing, game design and health about that kind of application.
