RESUMO
Objetivou-se sintetizar e analisar o conhecimento científico produzido sobre privacidade e confidencialidade em uma perspectiva global. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada a partir da busca e análise de artigos publicados entre 2010 a 2014 acerca dessas questões nas bases de dados SciELO.org e PubMed, com os descritores privacidade e confidencialidade em inglês, a partir das quais foram selecionados 30 artigos. As temáticas mais presentes nos estudos foram tecnologia, consentimento, pesquisa, adolescência, leis e direitos, doação, HIV/AIDS, serviços de saúde e recomendações. Percebeu-se excesso de discussão em temáticas menos relevantes em detrimento de temáticas mais importantes. Espera-se que este estudo possa contribuir para o fortalecimento da assistência em saúde no tocante às questões pesquisadas
ABSTRACT
This study aimed to analyze and synthesize scientific knowledge produced about privacy and confidentiality in a global perspective. This is an integrative literature review performed from the search and analysis of articles published between 2010-2014 on these issues in SciELO.org and PubMed databases, with the descriptors privacy and confidentiality in English, from which were 30 selected articles. More present theme in the studies were technology, consent, research, adolescence, laws and rights, donation, HIV / AIDS, health services and recommendations. It was noticed too much discussion on less relevant issues at the expense of more important issues. It is hoped that this study can contribute to the strengthening of health care with respect to the research questions
