ABSTRACT
Kawasaki disease is an acute systemic vasculitis and its etiology is still unknown.About 15%~25% of untreated children suffer from coronary artery damage, so it has attracted more and more attention around the world.Although high-dose intravenous immunoglobulin and oral aspirin are currently recognized as the most effective treatment.Immunoglobulin resistance and coronary artery damage are still big challenge for some patients. In recent years, new treatments(such as glucocorticoids, TNF-α antagonists, interleukin-1 antagonists, cyclosporin A, cytotoxic drugs, plasma exchange, et al)have been clinically affirmed, and some of them are still controversial. This article reviews the treatment progress of Kawasaki disease in the acute phase at home and abroad in recent years.
