RESUMO

Este artigo descreve a técnica de enceramento do primeiro molar inferior. O primeiro molar inferior é um dente que está localizado na mandíbula e tem como função a trituração dos alimentos. É o maior dente da boca, possuindo cinco cúspides, sendo três cúspides na vestibular e duas cúspides na palatina. Possui a distância mesio-distal maior que a distância cervio-oclusal. Associando a uma figura geométrica, o molar tem a forma de um trapézio de base maior para a vestibular e base menor para a lingual. (AU)

ABSTRACT

This article describes the lower first molar waxing technique. The first lower molar is a tooth located in the jaw and has its function grinding food. It is largest tooth in the mouth, having five cusps, three cusps in the vestibular and two cusps in the palatine. It has the mesio-distal distance greater than the cervix-occlusal distance. Associated with a geometric figure, the molar has the form of larger trapezium greater for the vestibular, and smal-ler for the lingual.
