El sistema de corrientes del pacifico sudoriental y los recursos vivos de la región / The system of currents of the pacific sudoriental and the alive resources of the region

ABSTRACT

This article attemps to explain the most outstanding characteristic of the system of current prevaling in the equatorial and south- Eastern Pacific and shows the interaction of the peuvian Coastal Current, the Peruvian Oceanic Current, the Peruvian Undercurrent and the Equatorial current. Some problems arising from "El Niño", phenomen are discussed, together with consideration on the unsuitable management of fisheris which contribute towards affecting the corresponding ecological system.

RESUMEN

El autor expone después de un breve resumen histórico las principales características del sistema de corrientes del Pacífico Sudoriental. Se discute algunos problemas relacionados con el fenómeno "El Niño". El manejo racional de la biomasa de estas aguas solamente puede ser logrado a través de mayores investigaciones oceonográficas (biología, física, química y geología) y atmosféricas.
