Causas de hospitalização de crianças: uma revisão integrativa da realidade brasileira / Causes of child hospitalization: an integrative review of the brazilian reality

RESUMO

Com o objetivo de descrever o conhecimento produzido na literatura acerca das causas de hospitalização de crianças no Brasil, realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura a partir de onze artigos disponíveis na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. Os critérios de inclusão foram estudos na íntegra, no idioma português, no período 2010 a 2017 e que contemplassem o tema. Alguns autores citam que as principais causas de hospitalização infantil são por Condições Sensíveis à Atenção Primária, enquanto outros afirmam que são por condições não sensíveis. O grupo de principais causas de internação de crianças é o das doenças respiratórias. Conclui-se que estudar causas de hospitalização de crianças e analisar possíveis fatores associados direciona a tomada de medidas preventivas para as doenças prevalentes para minimizar as complicações e internações (AU).

ABSTRACT

With the purpose of describing the knowledge produced in the literature about the causes of child hospitalization in Brazil, an integrative review of the literature was performed from eleven articles available in the Virtual Health Library. The inclusion criteria were studies in full text, in the Portuguese language, in the period from 2010 to 2017, and that approached the theme. Some authors point out that the main causes of child hospitalization are Primary Care-Sensitive Conditions, while others say they are non-sensitive conditions. The group of main causes for child hospitalization is that of respiratory diseases. It is concluded that studying the causes of child hospitalization, and analyzing possible associated factors directs the adoption of preventive measures for the prevalent diseases to minimize complications and hospitalizations (AU).
