Evolucionismo jacksoniano en Freud y reflexiones sobre la filogenia / Jacksonian evolutionism in Freud and reflections of phylogeny

RESUMEN

En el presente artículo se presentan fundamentalmente dos ideas. La primera de ellas consiste en una síntesis del pensamiento del neurólogo británico del siglo XIX Hohn Hughlings Jackson. A partir de esta síntesis se revisan algunos desarrollos conceptuales freudianos que en opinión del autor pueden entenderse con mayor claridad con los planteamientos jacksonianos en mente. La segunda idea consiste en reavivar el debate sobre la filogenia bajo la perspectiva del evolucionismo jacksoniano, tan presente en Freud. Con los conocimientos actuales, ya descartada la herencia lamarckiana de los caracteres adquiridos, se retoma la otra vía propuesta por Freud en Tótem y tabú la transmisión en el contacto entre generación y generación por vía del entendimiento inconsciente. Se plantea la hipótesis de que el orden edípico haya podido transmitirse por una vía de este tipo. También se plantea que el orden edípico haya podido ser objeto de presión selectiva y por lo tanto haber resultado fundamental en la constitución de nuestra especie (AU)

ABSTRACT

In this article, two main ideas are proposed. The first one consist of a synthesis of the thinking of John Hughlings Jackson, the British neurologist from the XIth century. On the basis of this synthesis, some conceptual developments of Sigmund Freud are reviewed. In the opinion of the author these developments can be better understood keeping the thinking of Jackson in mind. The second idea consists of reviving the debate about phylogeny taking into account Jackson´s evolutionism, so present in the thinking of Freud. With present knowledge, and once the Lamarckian heredity of acquired characteristics has been discerded, the order theory of transmission proposed by Freud in Totem and Taboo is retaken into account the transmission in the contact vetween generations, in the way of an unconscious understanding. The transmission of the oedipal order through this type of route is proposed as a hypothesis. The oedipal order could have been the object of selective pressure and therefore, it could have been essential in the constitution of our specie (AU)
