A atuação do enfermeiro frente à criança autista / Procedure of nurse related to autistic child

RESUMO

Objetivo: O presente estudo objetiva a análise da atuação do enfermeiro frente ao autismo, uma síndrome ainda pouco explorada dentro do campoda enfermagem. Método: A partir de um estudo qualitativo, enfermeiros de diversas instituições,que já trabalharam com crianças autistas, responderam a uma entrevista semi-estruturada individual, por meio da qual foram obtidas as seguintes informações como os enfermeiros vêem seu papel diante da criança autista e da família; forma de obtenção do conhecimento necessário para se trabalhar com este tipo de criança e entendimentos que eles têm sobre o autismo. Resultados: Como resultado, pode-se erceber que a atuação dos enfermeiros frente à criança autista e sua família é fundamental, uma vez que eles têm um importante papel socializador, de aceitação e compreensão da criança, bem como no estabelecimento de limites e orientação e apoio à família. Conclusão: Conclui-se que é necessário haver estudos mais aprofundados e trabalhoem equipe para uma atuação realmente efetiva.

ABSTRACT

Objective: The present study intends to analyze the procedure of nurse related to autism, a syndrome a bit explored in the nursing area. Methods: Based ona qualitative study, nurses in different institutions, which have already worked with autistic children, answered a individual semi-structured interview,through which was obtained the following information how the nurses see their role with autistic child and family; knowledge way of obtain necessary to work with this kind of child and the understanding that they have about the autism. Results: We could realize that the actuation of nurses related to autistic child and her family is essential, already that they have an important social roller, of acceptation and understanding of thechild, as well as, in the establishment of limits, and orientation and base for the family. Conclusion: It follows that is necessary to make profound studies anda team work for a really efficient procedure.
