Desenvolvimento de homogeneizador de alta velocidade para tecidos / Development of high speed homogenizer for tissues

RESUMO

An homogenizer for tissues was developed using the facilities and equipnebts available in our country. The requirements for making it were 1) fast homogenization, 2) full discruption of the cells, 3) procedure with no increase in the temperature of the homogenized, 4) easy to be used, 5) no change in the values of the biochemical measurements, 6) optimal conditions for enzyme assays and 7) low cost for making. This study shows results obtained by the homogenizer refering to the period of time for complete homogenization of different tissues, glutaminase activity in immune tissues and protein content in several tissues. Beside that, the content of prostaglandins E2 and F2 was also determined in immune and tumoral (Walker 256) tissues
