ABSTRACT
A case of Tay-Sach's disease occuring in a West Indian infant of predominantly African extraction is described. The characteristic "cherry red" spot at the macula was well marked but was black with a slight reddish tinge. Although no parental consanguinity was known, it was possible since both parents came from the same country village. (AU)
