The "Global Leprosy Strategy 2016-2020, Accelerating towards a leprosy-free world", was officially launched on 20 April 2016. Its overall goal is to further reduce the burden of leprosy while providing more comprehensive and timely care following the principles of equity and social justice. The purpose of this Operational Manual is to provide guidance for managers of national leprosy programmes (or equivalent entities) to adapt and implement the Global Leprosy Strategy in their own countries.
