RESUMO
A report is made of the application of the GOLD classification for COPD patients. All patients that assisted for consultation were subjected the study. A total of 54 patients were included, 9 percent as class 0,15 percent as class 1,33 percent as class 2,30 percent in class 3 and 13 percent in class 4. We concluded that most of the patients (63 percent) that assist to a especiality ambulatory care service are in class 2 and 3 the classification in useful for clinical purposes and research
