Sildenafil-induced drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms.

Drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS)/drug-induced hypersensitivity syndrome (DIHS) is a life-threatening, multi-organ adverse drug reaction with a mortality rate of approximately 10 %-20 %. The most common culprit drugs are anticonvulsants, some antibiotics such as dapsone and minocycline, salazosulfapyridine, allopurinol and some antiretroviral molecules such as abacavir and nevirapine. Only one case of DRESS induced by sildenafil has been reported in the literature. Here we report a new case.

Becker Nevus Syndrome: A Rare Entity but Important to Recognize.

Becker's nevus syndrome is defined by the association of a Becker nevus with homolateral breast hypoplasia or more rarely skeletal cutaneous or muscle deformities. Early diagnosis is important, especially in female patients to prevent and treat breast hypoplasia. We report two cases of Becker nevus syndrome with serious functional impairment and discuss possible treatment options.

Primary metastatic melanoma of the female urethra mimicking a benign urethral caruncle: A case report.

Primary urethral melanoma is an exceptionally rare malignancy, comprising a small fraction of melanomas and malignant tumors affecting the female urethra. We report the case of a 74-year-old woman presenting with symptoms initially suggestive of a benign urethral caruncle, which was later diagnosed as nodular melanoma upon histopathological examination. Despite complete surgical excision, subsequent imaging revealed widespread metastases to lymph nodes, liver, lungs, and brain. The patient was promptly referred for systemic therapy. This case highlights the diagnostic challenges and emphasizes the importance of thorough staging and emerging treatment modalities, such as immunotherapy, in managing this aggressive malignancy.
