RESUMO

We have performed a series of experiments applying high voltage between two electrodes, immersed in two beakers containing bidistilled water in a way similar to experiments conducted by Fuchs and collaborators, which showed that a water bridge can be formed between the two containers. We also observed the formation of water bridge. Moreover, choosing different pairs of electrodes depending on the material they are made up of, we observed that copper ions flow can pass along the bridge if the negative electrode is made up of copper. We show that the direction of the flux not only depends on the applied electrostatic field but on the relative electronegativity of the electrodes too. These results open new perspectives in understanding the properties of water. We suggest a possible explanation of the obtained results.

RESUMO

The experimental conditions by which electromagnetic signals (EMS) of low frequency can be emitted by diluted aqueous solutions of some bacterial and viral DNAs are described. That the recorded EMS and nanostructures induced in water carry the DNA information (sequence) is shown by retrieval of that same DNA by classical PCR amplification using the TAQ polymerase, including both primers and nucleotides. Moreover, such a transduction process has also been observed in living human cells exposed to EMS irradiation. These experiments suggest that coherent long-range molecular interaction must be present in water to observe the above-mentioned features. The quantum field theory analysis of the phenomenon is presented in this article.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The purpose of this population-based study is to examine the association between subjective quality of life and rural/urban residence in six Italian regions, including age and gender into the analysis. STUDY DESIGN: community survey. STUDY POPULATION: Samples stratified according to sex and age, drawn from municipal records. SAMPLE SIZE: 4999 people 18 years and older, from seven communities within six regions of Italy. TOOLS: Ad-hoc form to assess basic demographic data; SF-12. Interviewers were trained psychologists or medical doctors. RESULTS: 3398 subjects were interviewed (68% of recruited sample). The mean score of SF-12 in the overall sample was 38.4±6.1, SF-12 was higher in men than in in women (38.4±6.1 vs 37.5±5.9 F=99.18, df 1, 3396, 3397, p<0.0001); SF-12 score decreased from the youngest to the oldest age group, with significant differences between all ages groups; men showed higher scores in all age groups. The urban/rural difference of mean scores of SF-12 did not achieve statistical significance in women. Young men with urban residence had higher SF-12 scores than their counterparts with rural residence. Maen aged 65 years and older with rural residence showed, by contrast, higher scores than men from the same age group with urban residence. CONCLUSIONS: Men show a higher subjective quality of life than women. Subjective quality of life decreases with age in both genders.Men are more sensitive to urban/rural residence than women.Young men live better in cities, elderly men better in rural areas.

RESUMO

The Belousov-Zhabotinsky phenomenon is analyzed in a framework where the dynamics of dissipative structures outlined by Prigogine is implemented through the collective dynamics produced in liquid water by Quantum Electrodynamics, which has received recently some experimental support. A mechanism allowing the appearance of self-produced oscillations is suggested.

RESUMO

Water plays a fundamental role in living organisms. Liquid water includes coherence domains (CD) where all molecules oscillate in unison in tune with a self-trapped electromagnetic field at a well-defined frequency. The coherent oscillations produce an ensemble of quasi-free electrons, able to collect noise energy from the environment and transform it into high-grade coherent energy in the form of electron vortices. This high-grade energy may activate the biomolecules resonating with the water CD. In this way, water CDs become dissipative structures in the sense of Prigogine and Froehlich, such that they are able to oscillate and coherence among them can be established. Thus, autocatalysis in living matter is made possible.

RESUMO

Psoriasis is a chronic skin disorder that exhibits three main features: lymphocytic infiltration into the dermis and epidermis, uncontrolled proliferation and abnormal differentiation of keratinocytes. In this study we have evaluated the effect of treatment with WHITE Holographic Bioresonance Method and a resonance-based isotherapeutic remedy on patients affected by chronic psoriasis vulgaris. The WHITE Holographic Bioresonance Method is based on the principles of electrodynamic coherence. By exploiting the phenomenon of bio-resonance, it uses a transfer plate to produce resonance- and light-based isotherapeutic coherent acqueous remedies and gels that emit coherent oscillations which "imprint" the area of psoriasis-affected skin. Levels of proinflammatory cytokines have been evaluated in the plasma of psoriatic patients treated with isotherapeutic remedies. The obtained results demonstrate a positive effect on the natural course of the disease and matched the results obtained by psoriatic patients treated with narrow band UVB. A significant reduction in plasma levels of cytokines involved in pathogenesis of psoriasis has been observed. Our findings may suggest that WHITE Holographic Bioresonance method used in combination with resonance-based isotherapeutic remedy could well be a new useful treatment option for patients with limited psoriatic plaques.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: This study was designed to evaluate the effects of weak-intensity extremely high frequency (EHF) microwaves in a model system-the plant organism pollen grain-lacking the placebo effect, available in large populations, to ensure accurate statistical analysis, and whose sensitivity is closely relevant to animal and human biology. DESIGN: This study was blinded using an in vitro pollen germination technique. SUBJECTS AND STUDY INTERVENTIONS: Pollen of kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa) was either directly irradiated or grown in a medium prepared with irradiated water, using a CromoStim 2000, (PromoPharma, Republic of San Marino) designed for EHF microwave resonance therapy (MRT). It produces weak intensity EHF radiations (40-78 GHz), either continuous wave (cw) or modulated, at a 10 Hz-frequency, with infrared (IR) carried to 635-950 nm, and with an impedance (IPD) of 10(-21) W/Hz cm(2) and a power supply from 0 to 20 mW. OUTCOME MEASUREMENTS: Pollen-tube emergence was expressed as a percent of grains producing a tube and tube elongation was measured at 4 hours of incubation by a turbidimetric assay (A(500)) of cultures, expressed as the net absorbance increase over time 0. RESULTS: At days 2 and 4 during aging, both percent of germination and tube growth significantly and consistently improved over controls in kiwifruit pollen grains irradiated for 30 minutes at day 0 at 10 Hz frequency with the CromoStim 2000. Highly significant effects, either stimulant or inhibitory, were also observed on kiwifruit pollen (stressed or not) growing in a medium prepared with water previously irradiated either cw or modulated. Irradiated water affected pollen germination immediately and even after several days following EHF treatment. CONCLUSIONS: Either direct or indirect EHF irradiation performed by the CromoStim 2000 is effective on pollen growth processes. In both cases, water seemed to play a primary role. According to the quantum electrodynamical coherence theory, our work could also have implications for homeopathy, suggesting a key to explain the efficacy of high dilutions and succussion procedures.

RESUMO

Intermolecular interactions within living organisms have been found to occur not as individual independent events but as a part of a collective array of interconnected events. The problem of the emergence of this collective dynamics and of the correlated biocommunication therefore arises. In the present paper we review the proposals given within the paradigm of modern molecular biology and those given by some holistic approaches to biology. In recent times, the collective behavior of ensembles of microscopic units (atoms/molecules) has been addressed in the conceptual framework of Quantum Field Theory. The possibility of producing physical states where all the components of the ensemble move in unison has been recognized. In such cases, electromagnetic fields trapped within the ensemble appear. In the present paper we present a scheme based on Quantum Field Theory where molecules are able to move in phase-correlated unison among them and with a self-produced electromagnetic field. Experimental corroboration of this scheme is presented. Some consequences for future biological developments are discussed.

RESUMO

Theories of cancer origin are going through a paradigm shift, opening cancer research to new hypotheses. Accumulating evidence from the tissue microenvironment research, from bioenergetics, epigenetics, systems biology and thermodynamics tends to converge in characterising cancer as essentially a genetically non-deterministic disease. Instead, it is characterised by progressive disorganisation at a variety of organisational levels, from the genome and metabolic networks, to tissue integrity. As biological self-organisation is fuelled by the continuous supply of energy and infdrmation, these represent systemic roots of cancer origin, when compromised. The coherence of molecular dynamics has been recognised as an organising principle behind the long-range coordination of biological processes which can explain the remarkable efficiency of biological systems. Recent methodological advances have enabled the rapid accumulation of experimental evidence pointing to coherence as indeed playing an active role in mediating the flow of energy and information in diverse molecular systems, which is sufficient reason to apply it to a systems view on cancer development. We review theoretical models of how impaired coherence dynamics could lead to cancer as well as propose a new hypothesis based on the quantum electrodynamic theory of coherence. We discuss how the concept of coherence could connect different aspects of cancer and possibly represent their underlying theoretical framework, thus combining biological and physical approaches to understanding this complex pathology.

RESUMO

It has been reported that the colors perceived behind closed eyes provide an indication of the psychophysical state of a subject. We discuss this phenomenon in the light of recently developed approaches to living organisms, based on the interplay between matter organization, biochemistry and electrodynamics.
