BACKGROUND: Numerous studies have demonstrated the impact of beverage consumption on overall health and oral health. Specifically, high consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages and coffee has been associated with an increased risk of metabolic disorders and periodontitis. Conversely, high intake of plain water has been linked to various health benefits, including weight management and reduced energy intake. However, no previous studies have explored the potential association between plain water intake and the risk of periodontitis. OBJECTIVES: Our objective was to investigate the relationship between plain water consumption and periodontitis in a middle-aged and elderly population. METHODS: The present cross-sectional study was conducted among participants aged ≥ 45 in the 2009-2014 National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys. Multivariable regression analysis, subgroup analysis and smooth fitting tests were conducted to explore the independent relationship between plain water intake and periodontitis. RESULTS: A total of 5,882 participants were enrolled,62.02% have periodontitis. Periodontitis patients have lower plain water intake. The multivariable regression tests showed that the risk of periodontitis decreased with increased plain water intake quartiles (Q4 OR = 0.78; 95%CI 0.62-0.96) after fully adjustment. Subgroup analysis and interaction tests showed that gender, age, smoking, diabetes, hypertension or BMI does not significantly interact with the association. However, the relation was significant in males (Q4 OR = 0.64; 95%CI 0.47-0.86) but not in females (Q4 OR = 0.97;95% CI 0.71-1.31). In the smoothed curve fits stratified by gender, the curve for male participants displayed as a U-shape, with an optimal plain water intake at 1200 ml/day. For males drinking plain water less than 1200 ml/day, the risk of periodontitis decreased by 24% with each increase of 500 ml plain water intake (OR = 0.76, 95%CI 0.66-0.87, p < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: Together, the results showed that plain water intake is negatively associated with periodontitis risk in US middle aged and elderly population. Further studies are needed to investigate the mechanism unites this association. Attention should be given to adequate plain water intake when considering dietary suggestions to the population at high risk of developing periodontitis, especially for men.

OBJECTIVES: Post-stroke epilepsy (PSE) is associated with increased morbidity and mortality. This study aimed to develop and validate a novel prediction model combining clinical factors and radiomics features to accurately identify patients at high risk of developing PSE after intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH). METHODS: Researchers performed a retrospective medical chart review to extract derivation and validation cohorts of patients with first-ever ICH that attended two tertiary hospitals in China between 2010 and 2020. Clinical data were extracted from electronic medical records and supplemented by tele-interview. Predictive clinical variables were selected by multivariable logistic regression to build the clinical model. Predictive radiomics features were identified, and a Rad-score was calculated according to the coefficient of the selected feature. Both clinical variables and radiomic features were combined to build the radiomics-clinical model. Performances of the clinical, Rad-score, and combined models were compared. RESULTS: A total of 1571 patients were included in the analysis. Cortical involvement, early seizures within 7 days of ICH, NIHSS score, and ICH volume were included in the clinical model. Rad-score, instead of ICH volume, was included in the combined model. The combined model exhibited better discrimination ability and achieved an overall better benefit against threshold probability than the clinical model in the decision curve analysis (DCA). CONCLUSIONS: The combined radiomics-clinical model was better able to predict ICH-associated PSE compared to the clinical model. This can help clinicians better predict an individual patient's risk of PSE following a first-ever ICH and facilitate earlier PSE diagnosis and treatment. KEY POINTS: • Radiomics has not been used in predicting the risk of developing PSE. • Higher Rad-scores were associated with higher risk of developing PSE. • The combined model showed better performance of PSE prediction ability.

We report herein a general and effective system achieving cyclization of ß-trifluoromethyl enones with amidines in the presence of 1,3-diiodo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin (DIH), which affords a range of trifluoromethylated 2-imidazolines in synthetically useful yields with good diastereoselectivities (up to 95% yield, up to 98:2 dr) and good functional group tolerance. Furthermore, the one-pot synthesis of trifluoromethylated imidazoles via sequential cyclization and oxidation is demonstrated. More significantly, the reaction mechanism was verified by ESI-MS studies of possible intermediates, and a reasonable reaction mechanism was proposed.

PURPOSE: Clinical scores have been established to predict the probability of late seizures following intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) for individual patients, including the CAVE, CAVS and LANE scores. The purpose of this study was to compare these prediction scores in the Chinese population and undertake an independent external validation on them. METHODS: At one tertiary hospital in China, we retrospectively recruited consecutive inpatients who had been diagnosed with ICH. Medical records and tele interviews with a modified standardized questionnaire were used to identify late seizures. All the predictors of the prediction scores were collected from patient charts and databases by a standardized data collection protocol. The external validation of the prediction scores was quantified by the area under the curve (AUC), sensitivity, specificity, Youden index (YI), positive predictive value (PPV), and negative predictive value (NPV). RESULTS: 69 (5.4%) of 1276 patients experienced late seizures after ICH. There was no significant difference in the CAVE, CAVS, and LANE scores, which had AUCs of 0.75 (95% CI = 0.70-0.81), 0.74 (95% CI = 0.68-0.80), and 0.76 (95% CI = 0.70-0.82), respectively. At the optimal cutoff score, the LANE score had a lower sensitivity but a higher specificity than the CAVE and CAVS scores. Among the three prediction scores, the LANE score had a higher PPV than the others (0.145 vs. 0.088, 0.083), while the NPV was similar among the three prediction scores (0.989, 0.989, and 0.972). CONCLUSION: Our study showed that the CAVE, CAVS and LANE scores had similar AUCs for the occurrence of late seizures, but the LANE score had a relatively high PPV at the optimal cutoff score. Due to low evidence for using prophylactic antiseizure medications (ASM) in patients with ICH and poor availability of specialist stroke care in China, the LANE score with a cutoff score of 3 could be an applicable prediction tool in Chinese patients with ICH.

Thymus quinquecostatus Celak. is an edible herb that widely cultivated in Asia and possesses hepatoprotective activity, but the underlying non-volatile components of this protective activity are not well studied. In this study, combining molecular networking visualization and bioassay-guided fractionation strategies, a pair of novel skeleton diterpenoid enantiomers, (+)- and (-)-thymutatusone A [(+)- and (-)-1], along with one new and one known biogenetically related compounds (2-3) and 16 other known compounds (4-19), were identified from T. quinquecostatus. Their structures were exhaustively characterized by comprehensive spectroscopic data, X-ray diffraction analysis, and ECD calculations. Compounds (±)-1, (-)-1, and (+)-1, with a rare tricyclo [7.3.1.02,7] tridecane skeleton, exhibited potent hepatoprotective activity in HepG2 cells injured by acetaminophen, with EC50 values of 11.5 ± 2.8, 8.4 ± 1.9, and 12.2 ± 0.3 µM respectively. They were more potent than positive drug bifendate (EC50 15.2 ± 1.3). Further, the underlying mechanism for the hepatoprotective activity of compound (-)-1 related to activating the Nrf 2 signaling pathway. What's more, molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulation analysis showed that compound (-)-1 could dock with the active site of Nrf 2 protein and form a stable system through hydrogen bonding. These results suggest that T. quinquecostatus can be used as a valuable source of hepatoprotective activity compounds.

BACKGROUND: Previous evidence demonstrated that several biomarkers involved in the pathological process of coagulation/hemostasis dysfunction, impairment of brain vascular integrity and inflammation are associated with hematoma expansion (HE) after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). We aimed to explore whether there were unreported laboratory biomarkers associated with HE that were readily and commonly available in clinical practice. METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed consecutive acute ICH patients from 2012 to 2020 with admission laboratory tests and baseline and follow-up computed tomography (CT) scans. Univariate and multivariate regression analyses were used to evaluate associations between conventional laboratory indicators and HE. The results were verified in a prospective validation cohort. The relationship of candidate biomarker and 3-month outcomes was also investigated and mediation analysis was undertaken to determine causal associations among candidate biomarker, HE and outcome. RESULTS: Of 734 ICH patients, 163 (22.2%) presented HE. Among the included laboratory indicators, higher direct bilirubin (DBil) was associated with HE (adjusted odds ratio [OR] of per 1.0 µmol/L change 1.082; 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.011-1.158). DBil >5.65 µmol/L was a predictor of HE in validation cohort. Higher DBil was also associated with poor 3-month outcomes. The mediation analysis indicated that the association of higher DBil and poor outcomes was partially mediated by HE. CONCLUSIONS: DBil is a predictor of HE and poor 3-month outcomes after ICH. DBil's metabolic process and involvement in the pathological mechanism of HE are likely to contribute to the association between DBil and HE. Interventions targeting DBil to improve post-ICH prognosis may be meaningful and worthy of further exploration.

Host genotype and environment are considered crucial factors in shaping Daphnia gut microbiome composition. Among the environmental factors, diet is an important factor that regulates Daphnia microbiome. Most of the studies only focused on the use of axenic diet and non-sterile medium to investigate their effects on Daphnia microbiome. However, in natural environment, Daphnia diets such as phytoplankton are associated with microbes and could affect Daphnia microbiome composition and fitness, but remain relatively poorly understood compared to that of axenic diet. To test this, we cultured two Daphnia magna genotypes (genotype-1 and genotype-2) in sterile medium and fed with axenic diet. To check the effects of algal diet-associated microbes versus free water-related microbes, Daphnia were respectively inoculated with three different inoculums: medium microbial inoculum, diet-associated microbial inoculum, and medium and diet-mixed microbial inoculum. Daphnia were cultured for 3 weeks and their gut microbiome and life history traits were recorded. Results showed that Daphnia inoculated with medium microbial inoculum were dominated by Comamonadaceae in both genotypes. In Daphnia inoculated with mixed inoculum, genotype-1 microbiome was highly changed, whereas genotype-2 microbiome was slightly altered. Daphnia inoculated with diet microbial inoculum has almost the same microbiome in both genotypes. The total number of neonates and body size were significantly reduced in Daphnia inoculated with diet microbial inoculum regardless of genotype compared to all other treatments. Overall, this study shows that the microbiome of Daphnia is flexible and varies with genotype and diet- and medium-associated microbes, but not every bacteria is beneficial to Daphnia, and only symbionts can increase Daphnia performance.

NEAT1 is an important tumor oncogenic gene in various tumors. Nevertheless, its involvement remains poorly studied in cervical cancer. Our study explored the functional mechanism of NEAT1 in cervical cancer. NEAT1 level in several cervical cancer cells was quantified and we found NEAT1 was greatly upregulated in vitro. NEAT1 knockdown inhibited cervical cancer development through repressing cell proliferation, colony formation, capacity of migration, and invasion and also inducing the apoptosis. For another, microRNA (miR)-133a was downregulated in cervical cancer cells and NEAT1 negatively modulated miR-133a expression. Subsequently, we validated that miR-133a functioned as a potential target of NEAT1. Meanwhile, SOX4 is abnormally expressed in various cancers. SOX4 was able to act as a downstream target of miR-133a and silencing of SOX4 can restrain cervical cancer progression. In addition, in vivo assays were conducted to prove the role of NEAT1/miR-133a/SOX4 axis in cervical cancer. These findings implied that NEAT1 served as a competing endogenous RNA to sponge miR-133a and regulate SOX4 in cervical cancer pathogenesis. To sum up, it was implied that NEAT1/miR-133a/SOX4 axis was involved in cervical cancer development.

Cervical cancer continues to be a major public health problem. Although long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) were involved in the initiation and progression of cancer, few studies focus on the lncRNAs in the cervical cancer. Here, we systematically studied the clinical information, transcriptome profiling, and methylation array data of cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma that retrieved from genomic data commons (GDC). Compared with protein-coding genes, the expression levels of pseudogenes and lncRNAs were much lower. A total of 190 differentially expressed lncRNAs and 2,326 protein-coding genes were identified. Meanwhile, 269 differentially methylation regions (DMRs), where 16 lncRNAs were located, were figured out. Only one lncRNA, LINC00592, which was located in the DMRs, was also found differentially expressed. Several transcriptional regulation genes, such as ZNF20, ZNF441, ZNF573, and TMF1, were highly correlated with the expression of LINC00592, which illustrated its possible function on the transcription. Two microRNAs, which were both associated with tumor progression, can bind to LINC00592. Moreover, LINC00592 were also differentially expressed in other tumors. We proposed, with the help of various databases, that LINC00592 is a potential cancer-related lncRNA in cervical cancer and might activate the cancer progression through the regulation of transcription or structural integrity.

Long non-coding RNAs have been reported to play crucial roles in tumorigenesis including cervical cancer. LINC00037 has been identified as a significant regulator in several cancers. Our study was aimed to investigate the function of LINC00037 in cervical cancer progression. LINC00037 was significantly downregulated in human cervical cancer cells (HeLa, HCC94, HT-3, Caski, and SiHa cells) compared with the ectocervical epithelial cells (End1/E6E7 cells). Overexpression of LINC00037 was able to inhibit cervical cancer cell proliferation, induce cell apoptosis, and restrain the cell migration/invasion capacity. Reversely, knockdown of LINC00037 exhibited an opposite process in vitro. mTOR has been recognized as an atypical serine/threonine kinase that is involved in regulating significant cellular functions. In our present study, we observed that the mTOR signaling pathway was strongly activated in human cervical cancer cells. Meanwhile, upregulation of LINC00037 contributed to the inactivation of mTOR signaling whereas downregulation of LINC00037 activated the pathway. Subsequently, in vivo animal models using SiHa cells were established and we proved that LINC00037 repressed cervical cancer progression via targeting the mTOR signaling pathway. All these findings implied that LINC00037 could regulate cervical cancer pathogenesis via mTOR signaling. In conclusion, a novel role of LINC00037 was manifested in cervical cancer progression.

Reduced graphene oxide (RGO)-hybridized polymeric high-internal phase emulsions (RGO/polyHIPEs) with an open-cell structure and hydrophobicity have been successfully prepared using 2-ethylhexyl acrylate and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the monomer and the cross-linker, respectively. The adsorption mechanism and performance of this RGO/polyHIPEs to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were investigated. Adsorption isotherms of PAHs on RGO/polyHIPEs show that the saturated adsorption capacity is 47.5 mg/g and the equilibrium time is 8 h. Cycling tests show that the adsorption capacity of RGO/polyHIPEs remains stable in 10 adsorption-desorption cycles without observable structure change in RGO/polyHIPEs. Moreover, the PAH residues in water samples after being purified by RGO/polyHIPEs are lower than the limit values in drinking water set by the European Food Safety Authority. These results demonstrate that the RGO/polyHIPEs have great potentiality in PAH removal and water purification.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), which have little or no protein-coding capacity, caught a particular interest since their potential roles in the cancer paradigm. As the most common cancer in women, cervical squamous cell carcinoma remains one of the leading causes of deaths from cancer. However, limited evidence is available to determine the role of lncRNAs in the prognosis of cervical squamous cell carcinoma. In this study, we collected lncRNA expression profiling to identify prognosis related lncRNAs for cervical squamous cell carcinoma from TCGA database. In addition, we developed a 15-lncRNA signature based risk score to comprehensively assess the prognostic function of lncRNA. Furthermore, we performed a ROC analysis to identify the optimal cut-off point for classification risk level of the patients. Univariate Cox regression models were used to assess the association between lncRNAs and prognosis of patients with cervical squamous cell carcinoma. A 15-lncRNA based risk score was developed based on the Cox co-efficient of the individual lncRNAs. The prognostic value of this risk score was validated in the complete set and internal testing set. In summary, a 15-lncRNA expression signature (BAIAP2-AS1, RP11-203J24.8, LINC01133, RP1-7G5.6, RP11-147L13.15, SERHL, CTC-537E7.3, RP11-440L14.1, RP11-131N11.4, ILF3-AS1, RP11-80H18.4, RP11-1096G20.5, CTD-2192J16.26, RP11-621L6.3, and RP11-571M6.18) were identified and validated which can predict cervical cancer patient survival. The potential functions of this 15-lncRNA expression signature and individual lncRNAs as prognostic targets of cervical cancer were revealed by this study. Furthermore, these findings may have important implications in the understanding of the potential therapeutic method for the cervical squamous cell carcinoma patients.

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) plays an important role in bone resorption, which involves numerous cytokines through various signaling pathways. RANKL and interleukin (IL)-6 are two important cytokines that are involved in bone remodeling. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of LPS on RANKL and IL-6 gene expression, the relationship of RANKL and IL-6, and the role of extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1/2 (ERK1/2) on IL-6 secretion induced by LPS in MLO-Y4 cells. The cells were stimulated by LPS at different concentrations (1, 10, 100, 500, and 1000 ng/mL) for different durations (0.5, 1, 2, 4, and 8 h and 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, and 4 h), and the mRNA expressions of RANKL and IL-6 were determined by PCR. In the presence of 100 ng/mL LPS at different time points (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, and 4 h), IL-6 secretion and ERK1/2 phosphorylation in the cells were determined by ELISA and western blotting, respectively. STAT3 phosphorylation in cells simulated by 100 ng/mL LPS at different time points (0.5, 1, 2, 4, and 8 h) was assessed by western blotting. We found that LPS significantly up-regulated RANKL expression and activated the ERK1/2 pathway to induce IL-6 mRNA expression and protein synthesis in MLO-Y4 cells. However, the increased IL-6 was blocked by pre-treatment of MLO-Y4 cells with the ERK1/2 inhibitor U0126 (10 µM), and the enhanced RANKL was blocked by the STAT3 inhibitor S3I-201 (100 µM). Our results indicate that LPS up-regulates osteocyte expression of RANKL and IL-6, and the increased RANKL is associated with the up-regulation of IL-6, which involves the ERK1/2 pathway.

Our previous work demonstrated that characteristic changes could occur in the anterior wrist and medial malleolus in electric deaths through the hand-to-foot electric circuit pathway in an electric shock rat model. However, whether the same phenomenon occurs in humans is unknown. The aim of the present retrospective study was to ascertain whether the anterior wrist and medial malleolus could also be selected as the promising and significant sites in electric death through the hand-to-foot circuit pathway. Nineteen human cases from the autopsy and one clinical survivor who sustained a severe electric shock through the hand-to-foot circuit pathway were analyzed. Additional ten autopsy patients who died from traffic accidents and sudden cardiac attacks were used as the control group. Histopathological changes in the soft tissues of the anterior wrist and medial malleolus in all autopsy patients, as well as the electric current pathway of the survivor, were observed. The results showed that the nuclear polarizations in the anterior wrist and medial malleolus soft tissues of the electric death were extremely noticeable as compared with the controls. The most severe electrical injury in the survivor occurred in the anterior wrist. These findings suggest that the soft tissues of the anterior wrist and/or the medial malleolus as the narrowest parts of the limbs could be used as the complementary sites for tissue selection and considered as necessary locations for examinations to assess the electric death in medicolegal identification.

Specific morphological changes may be absent in some cases of electrocution shocked by the voltage of 220 V or lower. In this study, we attempted to demonstrate that the anterior wrist and medial malleolus were the optimal sites with promising and significant changes in electric death through the hand-to-foot circuit pathway. We established an electric shock rat model and observed histopathologic changes in the anterior wrist and medial malleolus. The results showed that the current intensities in the left anterior wrist and right medial malleolus were remarkably higher than those in the other sites, and the nuclei long/short (L/S) axis ratios of the arterial endotheliocyte and the skeletal muscle cell in these two areas were significantly higher than those in other parts of the body. These findings suggested that the anterior wrist and/or medial malleolus soft tissues as the narrowest parts of the limbs could be used as promising and useful sites for the assessment of electrical shock death, especially in forensic pathologic evaluation.

IL-6 has a dual role in bone remodelling. The ERK1/2 pathway partially upregulated IL-6 secretion in osteocyte-like MLO-Y4 cells exposed to CCF. We have now investigated the possible role of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/Akt signalling pathway in the CCF-induced IL-6 expression. MLO-Y4 cells were treated with CCF 2,000 µstrain, 2 Hz, or 10, 30 min, 1, 3 and 6 h. IL-6 expression, Akt and ERK1/2 and PI3K/Akt phosphorylation were determined by RT-PCR, ELISA and Western blotting. Inhibition of PI3K/Akt with LY294002 or ERK1/2 with PD98059 significantly attenuated IL-6 upregulation, and IL-6 expression was abolished by inhibiting both pathways. Inhibition of one pathway downregulated the other's phosphorylation level. In conclusion, concomitant activation of PI3K/Akt and ERK1/2 pathways mediated IL-6 expression in MLO-Y4 cells under CCF.

The aqueous extract from Carya cathayensis Sarg. exocarp was centrifuged, filtered, and separated into 11 elution fractions by X-5 macroporous resin chromatography. A phenolic compound, 4,8-dihydroxy-1-tetralone (4,8-DHT) was isolated from the fractions with the strongest phytotoxicity by bioassy-guided fractionation, and investigated for phytotoxicity on lettuce (Latuca sativa L.), radish (Raphanus sativus L.), cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.), onion (Allium cepa L.) and wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). The testing results showed that the treatment with 0.6 mM 4,8-DHT could significantly depress the germination vigor of lettuce and wheat, reduce the germination rate of lettuce and cucumber, and also inhibit radicle length, plumule length, and fresh weight of seedlings of lettuce and onion, but could significantly promote plumule length and fresh weight of seedlings of cucumber (p < 0.05). For the tested five plants, the 4,8-DHT was the most active to the seed germination and seedling growth of lettuce, indicating that the phytotoxicity of 4,8-DHT had the selectivity of dosage, action target (plant type) and content (seed germination or seedling growth).

The effects of extraction time, temperature, pressure and different concentration of ethanol and their interactions on the yields of amentoflavone, quercetin and ginkgetin extracted from Taxus chinensis by supercritical CO2 were investigated by using a central composite design (CCD). An CCD experimental design with four factors and five levels was used to optimize the extraction parameters. Ultra performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) was used to analyze the content of the tree components in the extracts. Experimental results show that the main effects of factors and their interactions are significant on the yields (p < 0.05). The optimal extraction conditions were established for the three compounds: yield of 4.47 mg/g for amentoflavone at 48 °C, 25 MPa, 2.02 h and 78.5% ethanol, 3.73 mg/g for quercetin at 46 °C, 24 MPa, 2.3 h, 82% ethanol and 3.47 mg/g for ginkgetin at 48 °C, 20 MPa, 2.38 h, 82% ethanol, respectively.

To investigate the relationship between carotid plaque and monocyte to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (MHR) in postmenopausal women. A cross-sectional study was conducted and 214 postmenopausal women who underwent physical examination at the Health Management Center of Heping Hospital affiliated to Changzhi Medical College between August 2018 and August 2022 were enrolled. The subjects were grouped according to the results of carotid ultrasound. The general information, blood pressure, biochemical markers, and routine blood indicators were compared between the 2 groups. Binary logistic regression was performed to analyze the correlation between MHR and carotid plaque in postmenopausal women, and receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve was used to analyze the predictive value of MHR for carotid plaque in this population. The carotid plaque group showed a lower high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) (1.21 [1.08-1.425] vs 1.29 [1.15-1.445] mmol/L, Z = -2.115, P = .034) and a higher MHR [0.33 ±â€…0.1 vs 0.26 ±â€…0.1, t = -5.756, P < .001] when compared to the no carotid plaque group. After adjusting for potential confounders such height, weight, and HDL-C, binary logistic regression analysis revealed that MHR continued to be an independent risk factor for the formation of carotid plaque in postmenopausal women (odds ratio [OR] = 1.795, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.198-2.689, P = .005). ROC curve analysis indicated that MHR had a 95% CI of 0.656 to 0.793 in predicting carotid plaque formation, an optimal cut-point of 0.265, and a sensitivity and specificity of 82.2% and 58.9%, respectively. MHR is a distinct risk factor for carotid plaque formation in postmenopausal women.

In the domain of graph-structured data learning, semi-supervised node classification serves as a critical task, relying mainly on the information from unlabeled nodes and a minor fraction of labeled nodes for training. However, real-world graph-structured data often suffer from label noise, which significantly undermines the performance of Graph Neural Networks (GNNs). This problem becomes increasingly severe in situations where labels are scarce. To tackle this issue of sparse and noisy labels, we propose a novel approach Contrastive Robust Graph Neural Network (CR-GNN), Firstly, considering label sparsity and noise, we employ unsupervised contrastive loss and further incorporate homophily in the graph structure, thus introducing neighbor contrastive loss. Moreover, data augmentation is typically used to construct positive and negative samples in contrastive learning, which may result in inconsistent prediction outcomes. Based on this, we propose a dynamic cross-entropy loss, which selects the nodes with consistent predictions as reliable nodes for cross-entropy loss and benefits to mitigate the overfitting to labeling noise. Finally, we propose cross-space consistency to narrow the semantic gap between the contrast and classification spaces. Extensive experiments on multiple publicly available datasets demonstrate that CR-GNN notably outperforms existing methods in resisting label noise.
