RESUMO

It is important for people to feel listened to in professional and personal communications, and yet they can feel unheard even when others have listened well. We propose that this feeling may arise because speakers conflate agreement with listening quality. In 11 studies (N = 3,396 adults), we held constant or manipulated a listener's objective listening behaviors, manipulating only after the conversation whether the listener agreed with the speaker. Across various topics, mediums (e.g., video, chat), and cues of objective listening quality, speakers consistently perceived disagreeing listeners as worse listeners. This effect persisted after controlling for other positive impressions of the listener (e.g., likability). This effect seemed to emerge because speakers believe their views are correct, leading them to infer that a disagreeing listener must not have been listening very well. Indeed, it may be prohibitively difficult for someone to simultaneously convey that they disagree and that they were listening.

BACKGROUND: Intranasal agents may be ideal for the treatment of migraine patients. Many new acute intranasal-specific therapies have been developed, but few of them have been directly compared. The aim of this network meta-analysis (NMA) was to compare the efficacy and safety of various intranasal agents for the treatment of acute migraine in adult patients. METHODS: The Cochrane Register of Controlled Trials, Embase, and PubMed were searched from inception to 15 August 2023. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) using intranasal agents (no restrictions on dose, formulation, dosing regimen or timing of the first dose) to treat adult patients with acute migraine were included. The primary efficacy endpoint was pain freedom at 2 h, and the primary safety endpoint was adverse events (AEs). The analysis process followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. RESULTS: Nineteen studies (21 RCTs, 9738 participants) were included. Compared to the placebo, 5 mg of zolmitriptan using a conventional liquid nasal spray device was the most effective for pain freedom at 2 h [odds ratio (OR): 4.67, 95% confidence interval (CI): 3.43 to 6.43] and 24 h (OR: 5.49, 95% CI: 3.58 to 8.42) among all the interventions. Butorphanol nasal spray 1 mg was the most effective (OR: 8.62, 95% CI: 1.11 to 66.92) for pain freedom at 1 h, but with low-quality evidence. DFN-02 presented the highest freedom from nausea (OR: 4.95, 95% CI: 1.29 to 19.01) and phonophobia (OR: 5.36, 95% CI: 1.67 to 17.22) at 2 h, albeit with lower odds of achieving complete pain freedom. ROX-828 showed the highest improvement in freedom from photophobia at 2 h (OR: 4.03, 95% CI: 1.66 to 9.81). Dihydroergotamine nasal spray was significantly associated with the highest risk of AEs (OR: 9.65, 95% CI: 4.39 to 21.22) and was not recommended for routine use. Zavegepant nasal spray demonstrated the lowest risk of AEs (OR: 2.04, 95% CI: 1.37 to 3.03). The results of sensitivity analyses for the primary endpoints (pain freedom at 2 h and AEs) were generally consistent with those of the base case model. CONCLUSIONS: Compared with other new intranasal-specific therapies in treating migraine attacks, zolmitriptan nasal spray 5 mg was the most effective agent for pain freedom at 2 h. Zavegepant nasal spray 10 mg had the fewest adverse side effects.

BACKGROUND: Migraine is a common disabling neurological disorder with severe physical and psychological damage, but there is a lack of convenient and effective non-invasive early prediction methods. This study aimed to develop a new series of non-invasive prediction models for migraine with external validation. METHODS: A total of 188 and 94 subjects were included in the training and validation sets, respectively. A standardized professional questionnaire was used to collect the subjects' 9-item traditional Chinese medicine constitution (TCMC) scores, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) score, Zung's Self-rating Anxiety Scale and Self-rating Depression Scale scores. Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk predictors of migraine, and a series of prediction models for migraine were developed. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve and calibration curve were used to assess the discrimination and calibration of the models. The predictive performance of the models were further validated using external datasets and subgroup analyses were conducted. RESULTS: PSQI score and Qi-depression score were significantly and positively associated with the risk of migraine, with the area of the ROC curves (AUCs) predicting migraine of 0.83 (95% CI:0.77-0.89) and 0.76 (95% CI:0.68-0.84), respectively. Eight non-invasive predictive models for migraine containing one to eight variables were developed using logistic regression, with AUCs ranging from 0.83 (95% CI: 0.77-0.89) to 0.92 (95% CI: 0.89-0.96) for the training set and from 0.76 (95% CI: 0.66-0.85) to 0.83 (95% CI: 0.75-0.91) for the validation set. Subgroup analyses showed that the AUCs of the eight prediction models for predicting migraine in the training and validation sets of different gender and age subgroups ranged from 0.80 (95% CI: 0.63-0.97) to 0.95 (95% CI: 0.91-1.00) and 0.73 (95% CI: 0.64-0.84) to 0.93 (95% CI: 0.82-1.00), respectively. CONCLUSIONS: This study developed and validated a series of convenient and novel non-invasive prediction models for migraine, which have good predictive ability for migraine in Chinese adults of different genders and ages. It is of great significance for the early prevention, screening, and diagnosis of migraine.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Chinese medicine (CM) in the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in China. METHODS: A multi-center retrospective cohort study was carried out, with cumulative CM treatment period of ⩾3 days during hospitalization as exposure. Data came from consecutive inpatients from December 19, 2019 to May 16, 2020 in 4 medical centers in Wuhan, China. After data extraction, verification and cleaning, confounding factors were adjusted by inverse probability of treatment weighting (IPTW), and the Cox proportional hazards regression model was used for statistical analysis. RESULTS: A total of 2,272 COVID-19 patients were included. There were 1,684 patients in the CM group and 588 patients in the control group. Compared with the control group, the hazard ratio (HR) for the deterioration rate in the CM group was 0.52 [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.41 to 0.64, P<0.001]. The results were consistent across patients of varying severity at admission, and the robustness of the results were confirmed by 3 sensitivity analyses. In addition, the HR for all-cause mortality in the CM group was 0.29 (95% CI: 0.19 to 0.44, P<0.001). Regarding of safety, the proportion of patients with abnormal liver function or renal function in the CM group was smaller. CONCLUSION: This real-world study indicates that the combination of a full-course CM therapy on the basic conventional treatment, may safely reduce the deterioration rate and all-cause mortality of COVID-19 patients. This result can provide the new evidence to support the current treatment of COVID-19. Additional prospective clinical trial is needed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of specific CM interventions. (Registration No. ChiCTR2200062917).

In this study, a porous structure for a porous liquid storage medium is generated, and the homogenization theory based on displacement boundary conditions is used to predict the effective mechanical properties. The relationship between the porous material's macroscopic mechanical properties and microstructure is next analyzed. In order to establish the relationship between the microstructure of porous materials and their macroscopic mechanical properties, assuming that the pores grow along the z direction, a method is proposed to generate 3D open-cell porous materials based on six design parameters (i.e., the number of pores, porosity, irregularity of pore distribution, the randomness of pore growth in the x and y directions, and randomness of pore size). Since the porosity of oil-bearing materials ranges from 20 to 30%, the porosity of the RVE (Representative Volume Element) was kept under control at about 25%, and the effect of the six design factors on the mechanical properties of the RVE was investigated. Utilizing SLA 3D printing technology, specimens were produced, and compression tests were used to show how useful the results of the numerical analysis were. The results demonstrated that after the number of RVE pores reaches 9, the numerical results have good repeatability. The irregularity of the initial pore distribution has little effect on the effective mechanical properties of the RVE. At the same time, the increase in the randomness of pore growth and the randomness of pore size increases the degree of weakening of the mechanical properties in the z-direction, while reducing the degree of weakening in the x and y directions, but the latter has a smaller impact. Furthermore, there is a superimposition effect of design parameters on the RVE.

Titanium and its alloys are one of the mainstream materials for the manufacture of intervertebral cages. With the application on clinical, the problems of elastic modulus is relatively high, subsidence of adjacent vertebral implants and stress shielding after surgery have gradually exposed. In this paper, metal rubber made from titanium alloy wire was used to prepare cervical fusion cage (CFC), which was a porous material with buffering and vibration damping properties. The C5/C6 segment of the goat cervical vertebra was used as the research object. The shape parameters of the CFC were determined by combining the three-dimensional model data of the cervical vertebra and the structural characteristics of the natural intervertebral disc. The force of CFC under different working conditions were simulated and analyzed by finite element simulation. Then three kinds of metal rubber core (MRC) were prepared by medical titanium alloy wire (TC4), and their mechanical properties and fatigue strength were experimentally studied. With the increases of density, the mechanical properties of MRC improved. The variation range of the loss factor η under different amplitudes and frequencies were 20% and 16.3%, respectively. After one million vibrations, the wear rate was 0.131 g/MC; after five million vibrations, the wear rate was 0.158 g/MC, which was similar to the existing clinical prosthesis wear rate. The MRC has sufficient mechanical strength. Compared with the existing clinical prostheses, it has a longer service life and has broad application prospects.

Background: Anxiety and depression are the most common psychiatric comorbidities in migraine, but their impact on the risk of developing migraine and their gender and age differences are unclear, and research on their associations with migraine-related burdens are limited. Objective: To systematically explore the association between anxiety and depression with migraine and migraine-related burdens, including the risk of developing migraine, as well as migraine frequency, severity, disability, headache impact, quality of life and sleep quality. Methods: A total of 170 migraineurs and 85 sex-and age-matched healthy control subjects were recruited consecutively for this study. Anxiety and depression were assessed using Zung's Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS), respectively. Logistic regression and linear regression analyses were used to explore the associations between anxiety and depression with migraine and its burdens. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to evaluate the predictive value of SAS score and SDS score on migraine and its severe burdens. Results: After adjusting for confounders, anxiety and depression remained significantly associated with an increased risk of developing migraine, with odds ratios of 5.186 (95% CI:1.755-15.322) and 3.147 (95% CI:1.387-7.141), respectively. Meanwhile, there were significant additive interactions between the association of anxiety and depression with the risk of developing migraine in gender and age (P for interaction <0.05), and the stronger correlations were found in participants with an age ≤ 36 years old and females. In addition, anxiety and depression were significantly independently associated with the migraine frequency, severity, disability, headache impact, quality of life, and sleep quality in migraine patients (P trend <0.05). The area under the ROC curve (AUC) of SAS score in predicting developing migraine was significantly higher than that of SDS score [0.749 (95% CI: 0.691-0.801) vs. 0.633 (95% CI: 0.571-0.692), p < 0.0001]. Conclusion: Anxiety and depression were significantly independently associated with the increased risk of migraine and migraine-related burdens. Enhanced assessment of SAS score and SDS score is of great clinical value for the early prevention and treatment of migraine and its burdens.

Objective: To explore the effect of the application of the 'Internet+' nursing teaching mode on the comprehensive teaching 'Fundamentals of Nursing'. Trial design: Parallel design and convenient sampling were used to select vocational nursing students from the Nursing College of Capital Medical University. Methods: Selected students were randomly divided into two groups. The control group consisted of 30 students in Grade 2020 higher vocational nursing education (traditional teaching mode). The observation group consisted of 30 students in Grade 2021 higher vocational nursing education (Internet+ mixed teaching mode). Training assessment results, automatic learning ability, professional identity, and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results: Compared with the control group, the students in the observation group scored higher in the following operation practices: venous blood sampling, intradermal injection, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), sputum aspiration, and putting on and taking off robes (84.01 ± 0.87 vs. 92.14 ± 1.23; 91.41 ± 0.82 vs. 96.86 ± 0.27; 87.56 ± 0.31 vs. 93.91 ± 2.79; 88.11 ± 0.51 vs. 93.75 ± 0.29; and 82.29 ± 0.29 vs. 90.96 ± 0.34, respectively, with p < 0.05 for all scores). The total scores for autonomous learning ability and subjective satisfaction were also higher in the observation group compared with the control group (82.98 ± 4.72 vs. 93.17 ± 5.01 and 96.67% vs. 90.00%, respectively, with p < 0.05 for all scores). Conclusion: In the post-epidemic era, the 'Internet+ hybrid teaching mode' was applied to comprehensive nursing teaching. This changed the traditional education mode, which focuses only on professional knowledge. The 'Internet+' teaching mode results showed that the professional, ideological, and political courses exhibited the same value guidance, which improved students' independent learning ability, practical operation ability, professional identity, and satisfaction.

RESUMO

Although many virtuous leaders are guided by the ideal of prioritizing the needs and welfare of their subordinates, others advance their self-interest at the expense of the people they purport to serve. In this article, we discuss conspiracy theories as a tool that leaders use to advance their personal interests. We propose that leaders spread conspiracy theories in service of four primary goals: 1) to attack opponents; 2) to galvanize followers; 3) to shift blame and responsibility; and 4) to undermine institutions that threaten their power. We argue that authoritarian, populist, and conservative leaders are most likely to spread conspiracy theories during periods of instability.

Objective: Cardiometabolic index (CMI) is a well promising indicator for predicting obesity-related diseases, but its predictive value for metabolic associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is unclear. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between CMI and MAFLD and to evaluate the predictive value of CMI for MAFLD. Methods: A total of 943 subjects were enrolled in this cross-sectional study. CMI was calculated by multiplying the ratio of triglycerides and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL-C) by waist-to-height ratio (WHtR). Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to systematically evaluate the relationship between CMI and MAFLD. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to assess the predictive power of CMI for MAFLD and to determine the optimal cutoff value. The diagnostic performance of high CMI for MAFLD was validated in 131 subjects with magnetic resonance imaging diagnosis. Results: Subjects with higher CMI exhibited a significantly increased risk of MAFLD. The odds ratio for a 1-standard-deviation increase in CMI was 3.180 (2.102-4.809) after adjusting for various confounding factors. Further subgroup analysis showed that there were significant additive interactions between CMI and MAFLD risk in gender, age, and BMI (P for interaction < 0.05), and the area under the ROC curve(AUC) of CMI for predicting MAFLD were significantly higher in female, young, and nonobese subgroups than that in male, middle-aged and elderly, and obese subgroups (all P < 0.05). Moreover, among nonobese subjects, the AUC of CMI was significantly higher than that of waist circumference, BMI, TG/HDL-C, and TG (all P < 0.05). The best cutoff values of CMI to diagnose MAFLD in males and females were 0.6085 and 0.4319, respectively, and the accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of high CMI for diagnosing MAFLD in the validation set were 85.5%, 87.5%, and 80%, respectively. Conclusions: CMI was strongly and positively associated with the risk of MAFLD and can be a reference predictor for MAFLD. High CMI had excellent diagnostic performance for MALFD, which can enable important clinical value for early identification and screening of MAFLD.

Background: The relationship between sleep and migraine is well known to be bidirectional. However, few studies have systematically assessed the association between sleep quality and the risk of developing migraine, and its gender and age differences are unclear. And there is currently limited evidence on the associations between sleep quality and migraine-related burdens. Objective: The objectives of this study were to: (1) explore the association between sleep quality and the risk of developing migraine, and its gender and age differences; (2) investigate the associations between sleep quality and the total pain burden, severity, disability, headache impact, quality of life, anxiety, and depression of migraine patients. Methods: This study consecutively enrolled 134 migraine patients and 70 sex- and age-matched healthy control subjects. Sleep quality was assessed through the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Logistic regression and linear regression analyses were used to explore the associations between sleep quality with the risk of developing migraine and the migraine-related burdens. Results: The prevalence of poor sleep quality in migraine patients was significantly higher than that in subjects without migraine (P < 0.001). After adjusting for various confounding factors, the risk of migraine with poor sleep quality remained 3.981 times that of those with good sleep quality. The subgroup analysis showed that there were significant additive interactions between poor sleep quality and the risk of migraine in gender, age, and education level (P for interaction < 0.05), and the stronger correlations were found in females, populations with ages more than 35 years old, and with lower education levels. In addition, multivariate linear regression analysis showed that poor sleep quality was significantly and independently associated with the total pain burden, severity, headache impact, quality of life, anxiety, and depression in migraine patients (P trend < 0.05). Conclusion: Poor sleep quality was significantly independently associated with an increased risk of developing migraine and the migraine-related burdens. Strengthening PSQI assessment is valuable for the early prevention and treatment of migraine patients.

BACKGROUND: Early identification of metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is urgent. Atherogenic index of plasma (AIP) is a reference predictor of obesity-related diseases, but its predictive value for MAFLD remains unclear. No studies have reported whether its combination with waist circumference (WC) and body mass index (BMI) can improve the predictive performance for MAFLD. AIM: To systematically explore the relationship between AIP and MAFLD and evaluate its predictive value for MAFLD and to pioneer a novel noninvasive predictive model combining AIP, WC, and BMI while validating its predictive performance for MAFLD. METHODS: This cross-sectional study consecutively enrolled 864 participants. Multivariate logistic regression analysis and receiver operating characteristic curve were used to evaluate the relationship between AIP and MAFLD and its predictive power for MAFLD. The novel prediction model A-W-B combining AIP, WC, and BMI to predict MAFLD was established, and internal verification was completed by magnetic resonance imaging diagnosis. RESULTS: Subjects with higher AIP exhibited a significantly increased risk of MAFLD, with an odds ratio of 12.420 (6.008-25.675) for AIP after adjusting for various confounding factors. The area under receiver operating characteristic curve of the A-W-B model was 0.833 (0.807-0.858), which was significantly higher than that of AIP, WC, and BMI (all P < 0.05). Subgroup analysis illustrated that the A-W-B model had significantly higher area under receiver operating characteristic curves in female, young and nonobese subgroups (all P < 0.05). The best cutoff values for the A-W-B model to predict MAFLD in males and females were 0.5932 and 0.4105, respectively. Additionally, in the validation set, the area under receiver operating characteristic curve of the A-W-B model to predict MAFLD was 0.862 (0.791-0.916). The A-W-B level was strongly and positively associated with the liver proton density fat fraction (r = 0.630, P < 0.001) and significantly increased with the severity of MAFLD (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: AIP was strongly and positively associated with the risk of MAFLD and can be a reference predictor for MAFLD. The novel prediction model A-W-B combining AIP, WC, and BMI can significantly improve the predictive ability of MAFLD and provide better services for clinical prediction and screening of MAFLD.

TIGIT (T-cell immunoglobulin and ITIM domain) has emerged as a promising target in cancer immunotherapy. It is an immune "checkpoint" inhibitor primarily expressed on activated T cells, NK cells and Tregs. Engagement of TIGIT to its ligands PVR and PVR-L2 leads to inhibitory signaling in T cells, promoting functional exhaustion of tumor-infiltrating T lymphocytes. Here, we described the pre-clinical characterization of Ociperlimab (BGB-A1217), a novel humanized IgG1 anti-TIGIT antibody (mAb), and systemically evaluated the contribution of Fc functions in the TIGIT mAb-mediated anti-tumor activities. BGB-A1217 binds to the extracellular domain of human TIGIT with high affinity (KD = 0.135 nM) and specificity, and efficiently blocks the interaction between TIGIT and its ligands PVR or PVR-L2. Cell-based assays show that BGB-A1217 significantly enhances T-cell functions. In addition, BGB-A1217 induces antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) against Treg cells, activates NK cells and monocytes, and removes TIGIT from T cell surfaces in an Fc-dependent manner, In vivo, BGB-A1217, either alone or in combination with an anti-PD-1 mAb elicits strong immune responses and potent anti-tumor efficacy in pre-clinical models. Moreover, the Fc effector function is critical for the anti-tumor activity of BGB-A1217 in a syngeneic human TIGIT-knock-in mouse model. The observed anti-tumor efficacy is associated with a pharmacodynamic change of TIGIT down-regulation and Treg reduction. These data support the selection of BGB-A1217 with an effector function competent Fc region for clinical development for the treatment of human cancers.

In this study, a laminated composite damping structure (LCDS) with metal rubber (MR) as matrix and silicone rubber (SR) as reinforcement has been designed. The embedded interlocking structure formed by the multi-material interface of the LCDS can effectively incorporate the high damping characteristics of traditional polymer damping materials and significantly enhance the adjustable stiffness of the damping structure. Based on the periodic cyclic vibration excitation, dynamic tests on different laminated structures were designed, and the damping performance and fatigue characteristics under periodic vibration excitation of the LCDS, based on MR and SR, were explored in depth. The experimental results exhibited that, compared to single-compound damping structures, the LCDS with SR as reinforcement and MR as matrix has excellent stiffness and damping characteristics. The incorporation of the silicon-based reinforcement can significantly improve the performance of the entire structure under cyclic fatigue vibration. In particular, the effects of material preparation and operating parameters on the composite structure are discussed. The effects of MR matrix density, operating frequency, amplitude, and preload on the stiffness and damping properties of the MR- and SR-based LCDS were investigated by the single factor controlled variable method. The results demonstrated that the vibration frequency has little effect on the LCDS damping performance. By increasing the density of the MR matrix or increasing the structural preload, the energy dissipation characteristics and damping properties of the LCDS can be effectively improved. With the increase in vibration excitation amplitude, the energy consumption of the LCDS increases, and the average dynamic stiffness changes at different rates, resulting in the loss factor decreasing first and then increasing. In this study, a damping structure suitable for narrow areas has been designed, which overcomes the temperature intolerance and low stiffness phenomena of traditional polymer rubber materials, and provides effective guidance for the design of damping materials with controllable high damping and stiffness.

Background and objective: Cancer is a life-threatening disease worldwide and current standard therapy cannot fulfill all clinical needs. Chinese herbal injections have been widely used for cancer in Chinese and Western hospitals in China. This study aimed to apply evidence mapping in order to provide an overview of the clinical application of Chinese herbal injections in cancer care based on randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. Methods and results: Seven databases were systematically searched for eligible randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses for ten Chinese herbal injections used in cancer treatment and covered in the Chinese national essential health insurance program. Excel 2016 and RStudio were used to integrate and process the data. In total 366 randomized controlled trials and 48 systematic reviews and meta-analyses were included in the evidence mapping of herbal medicines including; Compound Kushen, Shenqi Fuzheng, Aidi, Kangai, Kanglaite, Xiaoaiping, Cinobufacin, Brucea javanica oil emulsion, Polyporus polysaccharide injection, and Astragalus polysaccharide for injection. Health insurance restricts the scope of clinical application for these herbal injections. The numbers of studies published increased, especially around 2013-2015. The most studied cancer types were lung cancer (118, 32.2%), colorectal cancer (39, 10.7%), and gastric cancer (39, 10.7%), and the most used injections were Compound Kushen (78, 21.3%), Shenqi Fuzheng (76, 20.8%), and Aidi (63, 17.2%). The most consistently reported benefits were observed for Compound Kushen, Shenqi Fuzheng, Aidi, and Kangai for tumor response, quality of life, myelosuppression, and enhancing immunity. Conclusion: The current evidence mapping provides an overview of the outcomes and effects of Chinese herbal injections used in cancer care, and offers information on their clinical application which warrants further evidence-based research in order to inform clinical and policy decision-making.

The interaction between adjacent asperities is a typical characteristic of the grinding process and plays an important role in the material removal mechanism. Therefore, in order to systematically investigate the formation mechanism of the subsurface damage, a precision grinding contact model between the diamond particle and optical glass with adjacent asperities is proposed in our research. The initiation and propagation mechanism of median/lateral cracks under residual stress, the propagation rules of the stress waves on the subsurface, and the interaction between the subsurface damage under stress superposition effect are fully investigated by a theoretical analysis and finite element simulation. The simulation results of the precision grinding model are verified by experiments, which show that the proposed numerical analysis model is reasonable and the finite element analysis process is feasible.

Entangled metallic wire material (EMWM) is a kind of porous damping material. To promote the engineering application of EMWM, it is necessary to establish the constitutive model of EMWM to estimate its mechanical properties. In this paper, a series of quasi-static compression experiments for plate-like EMWM specimens made of austenitic stainless steel wire (06Cr19Ni10) with different densities were carried out in the temperature range of 20-500 °C. It was found that the stiffness of the plate-like EMWM would increase with the increases in the ambient temperature. The non-linear characteristics of the force-displacement curve of the plate-like EMWM would be weakened. Taking the spatial structural characteristics of the plate-like EMWM and the influence of the thermal expansion of the structure into account, a new constitutive model for plate-like EMWM was presented by the combination of the Johnson-Cook model and the Sherwood-Frost constitutive framework model. The accuracy of the model was verified by the experimental data under different temperatures. The results show that the calculated results of the model are consistent with the experimental results. This model can provide an effective theoretical basis for predicting the mechanical properties of plate-like EMWM and guiding its design.

Based on the requirements of underwater acoustic stealth, the classification and research background of acoustic coatings are introduced herein. The research significance of acoustic coatings is expounded from the perspective of both the military and civilian use. A brief overview of the conventional design process of acoustic coatings is presented, which describes the substrates used in different countries. Aimed at the local design of acoustic coatings, research progress on passive and semi-active/active sound absorption structure is summarized. Focused on the passive acoustic coatings; acoustic cavity design and optimization, acoustic performance of acoustic coatings with rigid inclusions or scatterers, and acoustic coatings with a hybrid structure are discussed. Moreover, an overview of the overall design of acoustic coatings based on the sound field characteristics of the submarine is also presented. Finally, the shortcomings of the research are discussed, breakthroughs in acoustic coating design research are forecast, and the key technical issues to be solved are highlighted.

In this study, epoxy resin (EP) composites were prepared by using molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) and helical carbon nanotubes (H-CNTs) as the antifriction and reinforcing phases, respectively. The effects of MoS2 and H-CNTs on the friction coefficient, wear amount, hardness, and elastic modulus of the composites were investigated. The tribological properties of the composites were tested using the UMT-3MT friction testing machine, non-contact three-dimensional surface profilometers, and nanoindenters. The analytical results showed that the friction coefficient of the composites initially decreased and then increased with the increase in the MoS2 content. The friction coefficient was the smallest when the MoS2 content in the EP was 6%, and the wear amount increased gradually. With the increasing content of H-CNTs, the friction coefficient of the composite material did not change significantly, although the wear amount decreased gradually. When the MoS2 and H-CNTs contents were 6% and 4%, respectively, the composite exhibited the minimum friction coefficient and a small amount of wear. Moreover, the addition of H-CNTs significantly enhanced the hardness and elastic modulus of the composites, which could be applied as materials in high-temperature and high-pressure environments where lubricants and greases do not work.
