BACKGROUND: Psychosocial and behavioral disorders have been reported in childhood epilepsy with centrotemporal spikes (CECTS). We aimed to identify the symptoms of eating disorders in CECTS. METHODS: Patients with CECTS were recruited from the pediatric neurology outpatient clinic between September 2019 and July 2020. The Children's Eating Behaviour Questionnaire (CEBQ) was administered to 39 patients and 31 controls. Patients' scores were compared with those of healthy subjects. RESULTS: There was no significant difference between the CEBQ of patients with CECTS and the control group (pâ¯>â¯0.05). There was no significant difference between the BMI of the patients with CECTS and the control group. In the patient group with CECTS, no significant difference was found in terms of CEBQ according to the antiepileptic drug used and EEG findings (pâ¯>â¯0.05). CONCLUSION: No difference was found in the eating habits of patients with CECTS compared with the healthy control group.
