PURPOSE: While restricted kinematic alignment (rKA) total knee arthroplasty (TKA) with cemented implants has been shown to provide a similar survivorship rate to mechanical alignment (MA) in the short term, no studies have reported on the long-term survivorship and function. METHODS: One hundred four consecutive cemented cruciate retaining TKAs implanted using computer navigation and following the rKA principles proposed by Vendittoli were reviewed at a minimum of 10 years after surgery. Implant revisions, reoperations and clinical outcomes were assessed using knee injury and osteoarthritis outcome score (KOOS), forgotten joint score (FJS), patients' satisfaction and joint perception questionnaires. Radiographs were analyzed to identify signs of osteolysis and implant loosening. RESULTS: Implant survivorship was 99.0% at a mean follow-up of 11.3 years (range: 10.3-12.9) with one early revision for instability. Patients perceived their TKA as natural or artificial without limitation in 50.0% of cases, and 95.3% were satisfied or very satisfied with their TKA. The mean FJS was 67.6 (range: 0-100). The mean KOOS were as follows: pain 84.7 (range: 38-100), symptoms 85.5 (range: 46-100), function in daily activities 82.6 (range: 40-100), function in sport and recreation 35.2 (range: 0-100) and quality of life 79.1 (range: 0-100). No radiological evidence of implant aseptic loosening or osteolysis was identified. CONCLUSION: Cemented TKA implanted with the rKA alignment protocol demonstrated excellent long-term implant survivorship and is a safe alternative to MA to improve patient function and satisfaction. BACKGROUND: Mechanical alignment after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is still widely used in the surgical community, but the alignment finally obtained by conventional techniques remains uncertain. The recent Coronal Plane Alignment of the Knee (CPAK) classification distinguishes 9 knee phenotypes according to constitutional alignment and joint line obliquity (JLO). The aim of this study was to assess the phenotypes of osteoarthritic patients before and after TKA using mechanical alignment and to analyze the influence of CPAK restoration on functional outcomes. METHODS: This retrospective multicenter study included 178 TKAs with a minimum follow-up of 2 years. Patients were operated on using a conventional technique with the goal of neutral mechanical alignment. The CPAK grade (1 to 9), considering the arithmetic Hip-Knee-Ankle angle (aHKA) and the JLO, was determined before and after TKA. Functional results were assessed using the following patient-reported outcome measures: Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score, the Simple Knee Value, and the Forgotten Joint Score. RESULTS: A true neutral mechanical alignment was obtained in only 37.1%. Isolated restoration of JLO was found in 31.4%, and isolated restoration of the aHKA in 44.9%. Exact restoration of the CPAK phenotype was found in 14.6%. Restoration of the CPAK grade was associated with an improvement in the "daily living": 79.2 ± 5.3 versus 62.5 ± 2.3 (R2 = 0.05, P < .05) and "Quality of life" Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score subscales: 73.8 ± 5.0 versus 62.9 ± 2.2 (R2 = 0.02, P < .05). CONCLUSIONS: This study shows that few neutral mechanical alignments are finally obtained after TKA by conventional technique. A major number of patients present a postoperative modification of their constitutional phenotype. Functional results at 2 years of follow-up appear to be improved by the restoration of the CPAK phenotype, JLO, and aHKA. LEVEL OF CLINICAL ART EVIDENCE: III, Retrospective Cohort Study.

Objective To explore an optimal surgical approach for different types of labia minora hypertrophy and to design a better personalized surgical treatment plan for patients. Methods Forty-five patients with labia minora treated in our department from January 2014 to January 2019 were the study participants. Depending upon the appearance of the labia minora, they were divided into length labia minora hypertrophy, width labia minora hypertrophy, overall labia minora hypertrophy, and labia hypertrophy combined with clitoris foreskin. By combining the characteristics of the patient's labia minora hypertrophy and the aesthetic requirements for postoperative appearance, we designed a personalized treatment plan for each group of patients. The surgical approaches include upper pedicle flap wedge resection, upper and lower pedicle flap similar to wedge resection, lower pedicle flap pedicle wedge resection, and labia minora combined with clitoris foreskin surgery. We followed up the postoperative results, recovery, and complication rates for a period of 3 months. Results All patients who underwent surgery had good wound healing. The labia minora had good bilateral symmetry, moderate size, and desired appearance. The scar of the surgical incision was also not obvious. The postoperative labia minora felt normal without any serious complications. Overall, the treatment effect was satisfactory. Conclusion There are many surgical methods for the reduction in the labia minora. Our findings suggest that in order to achieve better results, a personalized surgical plan should be designed considering the patient's unique type of hypertrophy and the individual aesthetic requirements. BACKGROUND: Accurate pre-surgical templating of the pelvic tilt (PT) angle is essential for hip and spine surgeries, yet the reliability of PT annotations is often compromised by human error, inherent subjectivity, and variations in radiographic quality. This study aims to identify challenges leading to inadequate annotations at a landmark dimension and evaluating their impact on PT. METHODS: We retrospectively collected 115 consecutive sagittal radiographs for the measurement of PT based on two definitions: the anterior pelvic plane and a line connecting the femoral head's centre to the sacral plate's midpoint. Five annotators engaged in the measurement, followed by a secondary review to assess the adequacy of the annotations across all the annotators. RESULTS: The outcomes indicated that over 60% images had at least one landmark considered inadequate by the majority of the reviewers, with poor image quality, outliers, and unrecognized anomalies being the primary causes. Such inadequacies led to discrepancies in the PT measurements, ranging from -2° to 2°. CONCLUSION: This study highlights that landmarks annotated from clear anatomical references were more reliable than those estimated. It also underscores the prevalence of suboptimal annotations in PT measurements, which extends beyond the scope of traditional statistical analysis and could result in significant deviations in individual cases, potentially impacting clinical outcomes.

Enophthalmos is a severe complication of primary reconstruction following orbital floor fractures, oncological resections, or maxillo-facial syndromes. The goal of secondary orbital reconstruction is to regain a symmetrical globe position to restore function and aesthetics. In this article, we present a method of computer-assisted orbital floor reconstruction using a mirroring technique and a custom-made titanium or high-density polyethylene mesh printed using computer-aided manufacturing techniques. This reconstructive protocol involves four steps: mirroring of the healthy orbit computer tomography files at the contralateral affected site, virtual design of a customized implant, computer-assisted manufacturing (CAM) of the implant using Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) or Computer Numerical Control (CNC) methods, and surgical insertion of the device. Clinical outcomes were assessed using 3dMD photogrammetry and computed tomography measures in 13 treated patients and compared to a control group treated with stock implants. An improvement of 3.04 mm (range 0.3-6 mm) in globe protrusion was obtained for the patients treated with patient-specific implants (PSI), and no major complications have been registered. The technique described here appears to be a viable method for correcting complex orbital floor defects needing delayed reconstruction.

BACKGROUND: In brain tumor surgery a personalized surgical approach is crucial to achieve a maximum safe tumor resection. The extent of resection decisively depends on the histological diagnosis. Stimulated Raman histology (SRH), a fiber laser-based optical imaging method, offers the possibility for evaluation of an intraoperative diagnosis in a few minutes. OBJECTIVE: To provide an overview on the applications of SRH in neurosurgery and transference of the technique to other surgical disciplines. METHODS: Description of the technique and review of the current literature on SRH. RESULTS: The SRH technique was successfully used in multiple neuro-oncological tumor entities. Initial pilot projects showed the potential for analysis of extracranial tumors. CONCLUSION: The use of SRH provides a near real-time diagnosis with high diagnostic accuracy and provides further developmental potential to improve personalized tumor surgery.

RESUMO

In this article, we discuss the use of three-dimensional (3-D) printed patient-specific implants in the management of upper extremity fractures. Traditional fracture fixation methods involve the use of standard-sized implants, which may not adequately address the needs of every patient, particularly those who have complications related to fracture nonunion or malunion and those who have significant bone loss. The benefits and limitations of this technology are also discussed, along with considerations for implementation in clinical practice. Overall, the use of 3-D printed patient-specific implants holds promise for improving the accuracy and efficacy of upper extremity fracture management.

Background: Reasonable personalized surgical design can achieve good treatment results for Helveston syndrome in one surgery, reducing the psychological and economic burden on patients. This article aims to explore the clinical characteristics of Helveston syndrome and the clinical effectiveness and feasibility of individualized surgical design. Methods: In this retrospective case series study, 28 patients who underwent strabismus correction for Helveston syndrome at the Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University from June 2018 to December 2020 with complete follow-up data were enrolled. Preoperatively, all patients received standard assessment of vision, intraocular pressure, slit lamp, fundus and refractive status, excluding other eye diseases, as well as detailed special examination of strabismus. These patients were divided into two groups according to the surgical modality: the horizontal muscle surgery alone group and the horizontal muscle surgery combined with superior oblique muscle surgery (combined surgery) group. We used SPSS software for data analysis and compared the postoperative eye position, eye movement, success rate, and reoperation rate between these two groups. Clinical measurement data were compared and analyzed with Fisher's exact test for count data, the t-test for normally distributed measurement data, and the Mann-Whitney U test for non-normally distributed measurement data. P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: This study included a total of 28 patients with Helveston syndrome, including 20 males and 8 females. The average age at the time of surgery is 12.04 ± 8.67 years (range, 4-43 years). The postoperative A-pattern degree was significantly greater in the group undergoing horizontal muscle surgery alone [6.23±1.31 prism diopters (PD); range, 0-10 PD] than in the group undergoing combined surgery (0.53±0.32 PD; range, 0-4 PD; P=0.002). Superior oblique muscle overactivity was significantly reduced in the combined surgery group (0.20±0.11+; range, 0-1+) compared to the horizontal muscle surgery alone group (1.31±0.26+; range, 0-2+; P=0.002). However, there was no significant difference in success rate or reoperation rate between the two groups. Additionally, after combining the recession of the superior rectus muscle with the horizontal muscle, the number of A-pattern degrees was greatly reduced. Conclusions: Helveston syndrome can be improved using a personalized surgical design according to the degree of external strabismus A-pattern, superior oblique muscle overaction, and dissociated vertical deviation (DVD) degree, which improves the success rate of single surgery.

Background: Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS®) is increasingly finding its way into clinical practice. ERAS® protocols have not been universally adopted, and they have often been criticized for being difficult to implement. So, the question for more tailor-made approaches arises. Methods: We conducted a literature search on March 16, 2022, using the following search string, which was modified to fit the input of each of the queried databases: ("ERAS®" or "enhanced recovery after surgery" or "fast recovery" or "fast track") and ("tailored" or "individual"). Results: Despite the massive increase in general hits on the subject, stratification according to phenotypic characteristics such as age or a classification according to disease patterns in the sense of specific guidelines is still fundamentally apparent. Evidence suggests that generic protocols can be followed by almost all patients. Prehabilitation, in particular, can be used as an adaptive tool. Conclusion: ERAS® works only in the totality of its tools and can be followed by almost all patients. Prehabilitation is more adaptive and can also increase adherence to ERAS® protocols. A tailored program outside of disease-specific pathways does not seem to be useful.

Personalized surgery (PS) involves virtual planning (VP) and the use of 3D printing technology to design and manufacture custom-made elements to be used during surgery. The widespread use of PS has fostered a paradigm shift in the surgical process. A recent analysis performed in our hospital-along with several studies published in the literature-showed that the extensive use of PS does not preclude the lack of standardization in the process. This means that despite the widely accepted use of this technology, standard individual roles and responsibilities have not been properly defined, and this could hinder the logistics and cost savings in the PS process. The aim of our study was to describe the method followed and the outcomes obtained for the creation of a PS service for the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit that resolves the current absence of internal structure, allows for the integration of all professionals involved and improves the efficiency and quality of the PS process. We performed a literature search on the implementation of PS techniques in tertiary hospitals and observed a lack of studies on the creation of PS units or services in such hospitals. Therefore, we believe that our work is innovative and has the potential to contribute to the implementation of PS units in other hospitals.

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVE: Dorsal rhizotomy is a controversial procedure for treating spasticity in children with cerebral palsy, particularly regarding the influence of intraoperative neuromonitoring (ION). The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of ION in adjusting root sectioning compared the preoperative program established by the multidisciplinary team. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Twenty-four consecutive children with spastic diplegia or quadriplegia, operated on between 2017 and 2020 in the University Hospital of Nancy, France, were studied. All underwent the same procedure: Keyhole Intralaminar Dorsal rhizotomy (KIDr) with enlarged multilevel interlaminar openings to access all roots from L2 to S2. The Ventral Root (VR) was stimulated to map radicular myotomes, and the Dorsal Root (DR) to test excitability of the segmental circuitry. Muscle responses were observed independently by the physiotherapist and by EMG-recordings. The study compared final root sectioning per radicular level and per side after ION versus the preoperative program determined by the multidisciplinary team. RESULTS: ION resulted in significant differences in final percentage root sectioning (P<0.05), with a decrease for L2 and L3 and an increase for L5. ION modified the symmetry of sectioning, with 32% instead of 5% in preoperative program. Only 5 children showed change in GMFC score 6 months after surgery. CONCLUSION: The use of ION during dorsal rhizotomy led to important modifications of root sectioning during surgery, which justifies individual control of each root, level by level and side by side, to optimize the therapeutic effect.

OBJECTIVE: Soft tissue sarcomas (STSs) arising from the popliteal fossa pose surgical challenges due to their proximity to critical neurovascular structures. This study aimed to investigate whether a novel 3D imaging technique highlighting these key anatomical structures could facilitate preoperative planning and improve surgical outcomes in STS. METHODS: This was a prospective, observational, pilot study. Between November 2019 and December 2020, 27 patients with STS of the popliteal fossa undergoing limb-sparing procedures were enrolled and assigned to either a control or intervention group. Control patients underwent traditional preoperative planning with separate computed tomography angiography, magnetic resonance imaging, and magnetic resonance hydrography. In the intervention group, 3D images were generated from these images, the tumor and skeletomuscular and neurovascular structures were revealed in three dimensions, and this was visualized on the surgeon's smartphone or computer. Primary endpoints were surgical margins and complications. Secondary endpoints included operative time, blood loss, serum C-reactive protein and interleukin-6, length of in-hospital stay, and limb function. Comparisons between groups were made using independent-sample t-tests for continuous data and the Mann-Whitney U and Fisher's exact tests for categorical data. RESULTS: There was a lower but not significantly different inadvertent positive margin rate (1/15 vs. 3/12, P = 0.294), significantly shorter hospital stay (P = 0.049), and less numbers ≥75th percentile of operative time (P = 0.037) and blood loss (P = 0.024) in the intervention group. Differences in surgical complications, operative time, blood loss, C-reactive protein and interleukin-6 levels on the second postoperative day, and limb functional scores were statistically insignificant. CONCLUSIONS: The novel 3D imaging technique facilitates complex preoperative planning and limb-salvage surgical procedures for patients with STS of the popliteal fossa, and this may affect how surgical planning is performed in the future.

BACKGROUND: It was aimed to compare conventional surgery and three-dimensional (3D) model-assisted surgery used in the treatment of calcaneal fractures. MATERIALS & METHODS: A total of 37 patients with unilateral calcaneal fractures were randomly divided into two groups as a conventional surgery group (n: 19) and a 3D model-assisted surgery group (n: 18). The preoperative, postoperative and last follow up angles of the Bohler and Gissane, calcaneal width and facet height were measured. The duration of the operation, blood loss volume, fluoroscopy usage, instrumentation time for both groups were recorded. Finally, the follow-up AOFAS scores were evaluated. A questionnaire was used to determine the perceptions of the resident doctors about the 3D model. RESULTS: The duration of the operation, blood loss volume, fluoroscopy usage, instrumentation time for 3D model-assisted surgery group were 83.3 ± 4.6 minutes, 83.6 ± 4.6 ml, 6.8 ± 1.4 times and 13.0 ± 0.8 weeks, and as for conventional group they were 130.0 ± 5.8 minutes, 105.1 ± 5.6 minutes, 11.7 ± 1.5 ml, 22.2 ± 2.4 times and 13.3 ± 0.8 weeks, respectively (p < 0.0001). The both groups significantly restored Bohler angle, Gissane angle, calcaneal width and calcaneal facet height after operation (p < 0.0001). The 3D model-assisted group was significantly more succesful in restoration and protection of achieved correction of calcanel facet height (p < 0.0001). The difference was determined among the groups at the final follow-up examination with respect to the amount of change according the values achieved post-op. were significant in Bohler angle (p < 0.001), calcaneal facet height (p < 0.0001) and calcaneal widht (p = 0.017). There was no significant difference between AOFAS scores of the two groups at last follow-up. Resident doctors exhibited high scores of overall satisfaction with the use of a 3D printing model. CONCLUSIONS: Compared to the conventional group, the 3D model-assisted group provide successful intervention and reduce operation, instrumentation time and the fluoroscopy usage with less blood loss. Performing 3D-assisted surgery helps the quality of reduction during the surgery and stability of internal fixation to protect achieved reduction at follow-up more succesfully.

Pediatric orbital trapdoor fractures are common in children and adolescents and usually require emergency surgical intervention. Herein, a personalized 3D printing-assisted approach to surgical treatment is proposed, serving to accurately and effectively repair pediatric orbital trapdoor fractures. We first investigated stress distribution in external force-induced orbital blowout fractures via numerical simulation, determining that maximum stresses on inferior and medial walls exceed those on superior and lateral walls and thus confer higher probability of fracture. We also examined 36 pediatric patients treated for orbital trapdoor fractures between 2014 and 2019 to verify our theoretical construct. Using 3D printing technique, we then created orbital models based on computed tomography (CT) studies of these patients. Absorbable implants were tailor-made, replicating those of 3D-printed models during surgical repairs of fractured orbital bones. As follow-up, we compared CT images and clinical parameters (extraocular movements, diplopia, enophthalmos) before and 12 months after operative procedures. There were only two patients with diplopia and six with enophthalmos >2 mm at 12 months, attesting to the efficacy of our novel 3D printing-assisted strategy.

PURPOSE: Pre-operative work-up and macroscopic intraoperative inspection could overlook occult central neck nodal metastases in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). An occult N1a status is able to change the initial risk stratification in small, clinically unifocal PTC potentially scheduled for thyroid lobectomy (TL) making total thyroidectomy (TT) the preferable option. We aimed to verified the reliability of an intraoperative management protocol based on frozen section examination (FSE) of ipsilateral central neck nodes (IpsiCND) to identify, among patients scheduled for TL, those who could benefit of a more extensive surgical resection (TT plus bilateral central neck dissection -CND-). METHODS: Thirty PTC patients preoperatively classified as T1N0 underwent TL plus IpsiCND-FSE (TL-group). In case of positive FSE, TT plus bilateral CND was accomplished during the same surgical procedure. A comparative analysis was performed between TL-group and a control group (C-group), who underwent TT plus IpsiCND-FSE, matched by a propensity score analysis. RESULTS: Nodal metastases (>2 mm) were found at final histology in 5/30 patients in the TL-group and in 6/30 in the C-group (p = 1.00). Micrometastases (≤2 mm) were retrieved in 5/30 TL-group patients and in 4/30 C-group patients (p = 1.00). Final histology staged as pN1a 10 (33.3%) patients for each group. FSE correctly identified five patients with occult nodal metastases >2 mm (16.6%) in TL-group, who underwent TT plus bilateral CND during the same surgical procedure. No permanent complications occurred. At a mean follow-up of 22.2 months, no local and/or nodal recurrence were observed. CONCLUSIONS: Intraoperative assessment of N status obtained with IpsiCND plus FSE allows for an accurate risk stratification. IpsiCND plus FSE real time modulated thyroidectomy seems a safe and effective surgical strategy reducing the need of a subsequent completion surgery and, theoretically, the risk of local recurrence.

The aim of this paper is to introduce an innovative workflow for staged reconstruction of the mandible, including the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), using a temporary, patient-specific spacer. In cases of partial mandibular resection including disarticulation, sometimes needed to treat inflammatory bone disease, the spacer is intended to retain symmetry of the hard tissues, to preserve the soft tissues, and to act as a bactericidal agent. When complete healing of the affected surrounding tissues has occurred, final reconstruction using a patient-matched total TMJ endoprosthesis, in combination with an autogenous free bone flap, can be performed as a second-stage procedure. The crucial steps of the workflow are virtual surgical planning, manufacturing of a two-part silicone mold, and chairside manufacturing of the spacer using an established bone cement with gentamycin. The method was first introduced in two patients suffering from therapy-resistant chronic osteomyelitis. The presented protocol of staged surgery allows a much safer and predictable reconstruction compared with immediate reconstruction. The workflow also minimizes the potential risk of endoprosthesis infection - one of the major risks of implant failure.

INTRODUCTION: Describing the surgical and oncological outcome of bladder-preserving ureter reconstruction (BPUR) with segmental ureteral resection after major gynecologic surgery. MATHERIALS AND METHODS: Patients with BPUR admitted at a single institution between March 2012 and July 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. Surgical and oncological data were assessed. RESULTS: Forty-six women with gynecologic tumors involving the ureter were treated with BPUR. R0 resection was achieved in 40/46 patients (86.9%), while pathologic margins were microscopically positive in 6 women (13.1%). Overall, 12 women (26.0%) received radiotherapy before surgery: among them, 8 patients received neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. Twenty-six women underwent BPUR during primary surgery, whereas 20 (43.4%) required BPUR upon recurrence. Twenty-six patients (56.2%) were found to have hydronephrosis at pre-operative workup. The psoas bladder hitch was the most common procedure performed for urinary reconstruction (63%) with respect to direct reimplantation (37%). Fourteen patients (14/46 = 30.4%) experienced urological complications. Urinary leakage occurred in 9 patients (19.5%), specifically: 5 uretero-vaginal fistula, 3 uroperitoneum, 1 uretero-enteral fistula. There were 3 cases (6.5%) of hydronephrosis at the side of ureteroneocystostomy and 2 cases (4.3%) of unilateral renal impairment requiring nephrectomy. At multivariate analysis only pre-operative radiotherapy (p = 0.047) and a history of pelvic irradiation (p = 0.025) were independently associated with an increased risk of developing severe urinary complications. CONCLUSIONS: BPUR is feasible in gynecologic cancer with invasion of the urinary tract. However, since a slight increase of post-operative urological complications was observed in the previously irradiated fields, a personalized surgical planning is recommended for these women in the next future.

PURPOSE: Treatment of tibial plateau fractures are difficult due to the intra-articular nature of the proximal tibia and extensive involvement of the soft tissue envelope. In this study, we investigated the surgical experience acquired using digitally designed life-size fracture models to guide as a template to place plates and screws in the treatment of tibial plateau fractures and anatomic reduction of joint. METHODS: 20 tibial plateau frature patients were divided into two equal surgery groups as conventional versus 3D model assisted. The fracture line angles, depression depth, and preoperative/postoperative Rasmussen knee score were measured for each patient. RESULTS: The duration of the operation, blood loss volume, turniquet time and number of intraoperative fluoroscopy was 89.5 ± 5.9 min, 160.5 ± 15.3 ml, 74.5 ± 6 min and 10.7 ± 1.76 times, for 3D printing group and 127 ± 14.5 min, 276 ± 44.8 ml, 104.5 ± 5.5 min and 18.5 ± 2.17 times for the conventional group, respectively. 3D model-assisted group indicated significantly shorter operation time, less blood loss volume, shorter turniquet and fluoroscopy times, and better outcome than the conventional one. CONCLUSIONS: The customized 3D model was user friendly, and it provided a radiation-free tibial screw insertion. The use of these models assisted surgical planning, maximized the possibility of ideal anatomical reduction and provided individualized information concerning tibial plateau fractures.

Pelvic floor dysfunction is a growingly frequent condition in aging individuals. Urinary or rectal incontinence, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain or sexual dysfunction are common problems in this age range. Such conditions carry a severe impact on quality of life, but also limit individual independence in daily activities, favor social isolation and carry health risks. Diagnosis and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction in aging women is tricky, since multiple interfering conditions affecting muscle tone and nerve function are common in these individuals. Diabetes mellitus, sarcopenia, use of drugs that affect cognition or impact bowel or urinary function are just a few examples. These conditions need to be thoroughly taken into account during pre-operative work up for their potential impact on the success of surgery and vice versa. Functional reconstruction aimed at treating symptoms rather than anatomic defects is key to success. The recent advancements in surgical treatment of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse allow for more options to achieve the best surgery in each patient.
