El discurso es la unidad mínima de análisis que Lacan propone para pensar los vínculos sociales. Es una estructura básica de la que se pueden encontrar múltiples variaciones. Lacan define el discurso como: "Una estructura necesaria que excede con mucho a la palabra (...) que en realidad puede subsistir muy bien sin palabras. Subsiste en ciertas relaciones fundamentales...."
The speech is the minimum unit of analysis that Lacan proposes to think about social bonds. It is a basic structure from which multiple variations can be found. Lacan defines discourse as: "A necessary structure that far exceeds the word (...) that can actually survive very well without words. It subsists in certain fundamental relationships .... "
