Percepções de profissionais da saúde sobre o comportamento suicida na adolescência / Health professionals' perceptions of suicidal behavior in adolescence
This is a qualitative survey that aimed to identify how professionals working at the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) and Child Psychosocial Attention Center (CAPSi) in a city in the metropolitan area of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, perceive the suicidal behavior during adolescence and how they act in these cases. Six professionals participated in the study, and data were collected through semi-structured interviews, which were recorded and transcribed in their entirety. The data analysis came from the content analysis. It is concluded that the quality of the affectional bond between the caregivers and the adolescent is a significant protective factor, as well as the relationship with other peers. In addition, the importance of interdisciplinary work to act with this demand stands out. It is proposed the development of new studies on the subject, increasing the awareness of youthsuicide.
