ABSTRACT
Objective:
To study the chemical constituents from the flower buds of She Medicine Magnolia liliflora. Methods:
The compounds were isolated and purified by chromatography on silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 columns. Their structures were elucidated by the physicochemical and spectroscopic evidences. Results:
Seven compounds were isolated from the methanol extracts in the flower buds of M. liliflora and were identified as monolignol glucosides (1), (1S, 3R)-1-(3, 4-dimethoxy-phenyl)-2-[4-(3-hydroxy-propyl) - 2-methoxy-phenoxy]-propane-1, 3-diol (2), 3', 4-O-dimetbylcedrusin (3), 4-O-metbylcedrusin (4), β-daucosterol (5), β-sitosterol (6), and kaempferol-3-O-(6″-trans-p-coumaroyl) - α-D-mannosepyran-glucoside (7).Conclusion:
All of these compounds are isolated from the flower buds of M. liliflora for the first time. Compounds 3, 4, and 7 are first isolated from the plants in Magnolia L. Compound 1 is isolated from the natural products for the first time, and the 13C-NMR data of compound 1 are expounded for the first time.
