RESUMEN
The brain tissue extracts from chronically alcoholized (15% ethanol intake for more than 18 months) rats were studied by mass spectrometry. The mass spectra for the striatum of control and alcohol-consuming rats were identical, while those for the hippocampus showed a significant difference: a great increase in the intensity of peaks typical of mass spectra for quinolinic acid.

A method of reversed amperometric titration for estimation of content of S- S-groups in biological materials is described. The method is based on splitting of disulphide groups in reaction with a reducing agent (Na2SO3) in presence of an excess of metal ions (Ag+, Hg2+), which form a mercaptide bond (AgS) with SH-groups. The excess of free metal ions was titrated with the equimolar solution of thiol (unithiol, cysteine). The method is comparatively simple and enables to estimate S- S groups in presence of air oxygen and enzymatic systems.

Effects of hyperbaric oxygenation, bemitil, and solcoseryl used in preoperative treatment of patients with hepatic failure on the oxidant-antioxidant system are studied. Lipid peroxidation (LPO) was assessed from changes in the levels of malonic dialdehyde and diene conjugate and the antioxidant system from the number of SH-groups. Hyperbaric oxygenation led to activation of LPO processes. Bemitil decreased the intensity of LPO by extending the potentialities of the antioxidant system. Antioxidant properties of solcoseryl were not realized through the thiol buffer of the antioxidant system. Only a course of treatment with this drug brings about a stable effect.

On the basis of study of mass-spectrum of blood plasma ultrafiltrate in 21 injures with severe associated trauma during first four posttraumatic days and in healthy persons one can suggest that combinations with molecular weights of 300-1050 Da are to be one of the important regulatory mechanisms of posttraumatic adaptative processes. With increasing of the injury gravity reorientation of the levels of adaptative reactions management and level enhancing of mediomolecular regulators are found to be occurred.
