RESUMEN

Deep transfer learning has been widely used to improve the versatility of models. In the problem of cross-domain fault diagnosis in rolling bearings, most models require that the given data have a similar distribution, which limits the diagnostic effect and generalization of the model. This paper proposes a deep reconstruction transfer convolutional neural network (DRTCNN), which satisfies the domain adaptability of the model under cross-domain conditions. Firstly, the model uses a deep reconstruction convolutional automatic encoder for feature extraction and data reconstruction. Through sharing parameters and unsupervised training, the structural information of target domain samples is effectively used to extract domain-invariant features. Secondly, a new subdomain alignment loss function is introduced to align the subdomain distribution of the source domain and the target domain, which can improve the classification accuracy by reducing the intra-class distance and increasing the inter-class distance. In addition, a label smoothing algorithm considering the credibility of the sample is introduced to train the model classifier to avoid the impact of wrong labels on the training process. Three datasets are used to verify the versatility of the model, and the results show that the model has a high accuracy and stability.

Edible mushrooms are nutritious, tasty, and have medicinal value, which makes them very popular. Fresh mushrooms have a high water content and a crisp texture. They demonstrate strong metabolic activity after harvesting. However, they are prone to textural changes, microbial infestation, and nutritional and flavor loss, and they therefore require appropriate post-harvest processing and preservation. Important factors affecting safety and quality during their processing and storage include their quality, source, microbial contamination, physical damage, and chemical residues. Thus, these aspects should be tested carefully to ensure safety. In recent years, many new techniques have been used to preserve mushrooms, including electrofluidic drying and cold plasma treatment, as well as new packaging and coating technologies. In terms of detection, many new detection techniques, such as nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), imaging technology, and spectroscopy can be used as rapid and effective means of detection. This paper reviews the new technological methods for processing and detecting the quality of mainstream edible mushrooms. It mainly introduces their working principles and application, and highlights the future direction of preservation, processing, and quality detection technologies for edible mushrooms. Adopting appropriate post-harvest processing and preservation techniques can maintain the organoleptic properties, nutrition, and flavor of mushrooms effectively. The use of rapid, accurate, and non-destructive testing methods can provide a strong assurance of food safety. At present, these new processing, preservation and testing methods have achieved good results but at the same time there are certain shortcomings. So it is recommended that they also be continuously researched and improved, for example through the use of new technologies and combinations of different technologies. © 2023 Society of Chemical Industry.

Testing the mechanical properties of cardiomyocytes plays an important role in the study of the physiological and pathological processes of constant contraction and diastole of the cardiovascular system. However, there is currently no satisfactory and dynamic technology to measure the mechanical properties of cardiomyocytes in a sustained manner, greatly affecting their practical application in clinical diagnosis and treatment evaluation. Herein, a double resonator piezoelectric cytometry (DRPC) technique was employed for dynamic monitoring of H9C2 cardiomyocyte adhesion and the effects of two cardiovascular drugs on the contractile properties of H9C2 cardiomyocytes, i.e., isoprenaline (ISO, a positive inotropic agent) and verapamil (VRP, a negative inotropic agent). Specifically, we used 9 MHz AT and BT-cut bare gold and transparent ITO electrodes and compared their dynamic adhesion to the two electrodes modified with RGD and gelatin respectively versus unmodified to measure the cell generated stress (ΔS) exerted on the quartz crystal surface by a population of cells and the cell viscoelastic index (CVI). We found that the DRPC technique can quantitatively measure the magnitude and direction of the generated forces during the adhesion process of the cells and under the effect of drugs. In conclusion, the technique presented in this study can be used for the simultaneous measurement of cell adhesion, traction force and viscoelasticity of living cells in a noninvasive, dynamic and continuous way, making it an ideal tool for assessing the population contractility of cardiomyocytes and evaluating the efficacy and toxicity of cardiovascular drugs.

OBJECTIVE: To assess the association between three-dimensional inclination of the osseous structures of temporomandibular joints (TMJ) and the risk of disc displacement (DD). METHODS: The 120 TMJs of 60 patients were evaluated. According to magnetic resonance images, disc position was classified as normal, anterior DD with reduction (ADDWR) and without reduction (ADDWoR) and as normal, medial DD (MDD), and lateral DD (LDD) on the sagittal and coronal views, respectively. Condyle and eminence inclinations were measured using cone beam computed tomography. RESULTS: Smaller horizontal condylar inclination was associated with ADDWoR (p < 0.05). Larger coronal condylar inclination was associated with ADDWR (p < 0.05) and LDD (p < 0.05). There was no association between sagittal eminence inclination and DD (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Medial condylar rotation in the axial view may be associated with ADDWoR. The condyle head horizontally inclined in the coronal view may be associated with ADDWR and LDD.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to determine the clinical effectiveness of double-shaft classification and sequential diagnosis and treatment of food impaction. METHODS: A total of 227 patients with food impactionwere subjected to double-shaft classification and subsequently treated by sequential diagnosis and treatment method. Treatment effectiveness was evaluated according to the subjective feelings of patientsat five time points (immediately after treatment and at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after treatment). RESULTS: The average scores of patient's subjective perception were 2.00, 1.93, 1.59, 1.20, and 0.98 immediately and at 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after treatment, with treatment-efficiency values of 87.17%, 81.70%, 73.21%, 55.80%, and 44.59%, respectively. There were differences in scores of patient's subjective perception at each time point (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Double-shaft classification and sequential diagnosis and treatment can effectively guide the treatment of food impaction.

Objective@# To explore the clinical effect of a guided resin cementation technique on vertical food impaction symptoms and to provide a new method for the treatment of vertical food impaction. @* Methods @#Treatment of 76 patients with vertical food impaction with guided resin cementation was performed. A specially fabricated contact shaping wire was used to aid the shaping of the contact. Cementation was applied under a rubber dam with the total-etch technique with flowable composite resin. Patient subjective perception was recorded after treatment (i.e., “totally relieved”=3, “significantly improved”=2, “slightly improved”=1 and “no change”=0). Follow-up visits lasted for one year. Scores of 1 to 3 were recorded as effective. The efficiency rates at different times were calculated. @*Results@#Patient subjective perceptions scored 2.47, 2.21, 1.79, 1.30 and 0.97 on the day immediately after and 1, 3, 6, and 12 months after treatment, respectively. There were significant differences among scores at each time point (P<0.01). The Efficacy rate reached 91.78% immediately after treatment and was sustained above 50% within half a year. Management of resin debonding or fracture successfully relieved the symptoms again.@*Conclusion@#The guided resin cementation technique relieves vertical food impaction symptoms immediately, and the effect of the guided resin cementation technique is maintained for a short period of time. Management of resin debonding or fracture helps consolidate treatment outcomes.

OBJECTIVES: Peripheral nerve injuries are a common occurrence, resulting in considerable patient suffering; it also represents a major economic burden on society. To improve treatment options following peripheral nerve injuries, scientists aim to find a way to promote Schwann cell (SC) myelination to help nerves to carry out their functions effectively. In this study, we investigated myelination ability of SCs, regulated by co-culture with adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) or low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS), and synergistic effects of combined treatments. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Schwann cells were co-cultured with or without ASCs, and either left untreated or treated with LIPUS for 10 min/d for 1, 4 or 7 days. Effects of LIPUS and ASC co-culture on pro-myelination indicators of SCs were analysed by real-time PCR (RT-PCR), Western blotting and immunofluorescence staining (IF). RESULTS: Our results indicate that ASC-SC co-culture and LIPUS, together or individually, promoted mRNA levels of epidermal growth factor receptor 3 (EGFR3/ErbB3), neuregulin1 (NRG1), early growth response protein 2 (Egr2/Krox20) and myelin basic protein (MBP), with corresponding increases in protein levels of ErbB3, NRG1 and Krox20. Interestingly, combination of ASC-SC co-culture and LIPUS displayed the most remarkable effects. CONCLUSION: We demonstrated that ASCs upregulated pro-myelination indicators of SCs by indirect contact (through co-culture) and that effects could be potentiated by LIPUS. We conclude that LIPUS, as a mechanical stress, may have potential in nerve regeneration with potential clinical relevance.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the acquaintance to orthodontics and possible factors that obstruct orthodontic treatment in middle school students in zones with different economic levels in Jiangjin, Chongqing. METHODS: The students were randomly divided into four groups: A class from a junior high school in town (group 1), a class from a senior high school in town (group 2), a class from a junior high school in the countryside (group 3), a class from a senior high school in the countryside (group 4). The information was collected by questionnaire, and the statistical analysis of results was carried out by SPSS 17.0 software. RESULTS: Sex made difference in the acquaintance to orthodontics treatment. Girls worried more about teeth extraction and pain that may occur during treatment than the boys. Students in the city had more access to related consultations compared to those in the countryside. Different economic conditions made much contribution to the proportion to go for orthodontics treatment in cities and rural areas. The evaluation from families and friends may affect patients' subjective estimation to themselves. CONCLUSION: Orthodontists should learn more about student patiens from various aspects, and make different therapies according to their sexes, economic conditions of family, education levels, etc. Only so can orthodontists get better compliance from their patients.
