RESUMEN

The eukaryotic translation initiation factor eIF4E can regulate cellular translation via phosphorylation on serine 209. In a recent study, by two rounds of TMT relative quantitative proteomics, we found that phosphorylated eIF4E (p-eIF4E) favors the translation of selected mRNAs, and the encoded proteins are mainly involved in ECM-receptor, focal adhesion, and PI3K-Akt signaling. The current paper is focused on the relationship between p-eIF4E and the downstream host cell proteins, and their presumed effect on efficient entry of PEDV. We found that the depletion of membrane-residential factor TSPAN3, CD63, and ITGB2 significantly inhibited viral invasion of PEDV, and reduced the entry of pseudotyped particles PEDV-pp, SARS-CoV-pp, and SARS-CoV-2-pp. The specific antibodies of TSPAN3, CD63, and ITGB2 blocked the adsorption of PEDV into host cells. Moreover, we detected that eIF4E phosphorylation was increased at 1 h after PEDV infection, in accordance with the expression of TSPAN3, CD63, and ITGB2. Similar trends appeared in the intestines of piglets in the early stage of PEDV challenge. Compared with Vero cells, S209A-Vero cells in which eIF4E cannot be phosphorylated showed a decrease of invading PEDV virions. MNK kinase inhibitor blocked PEDV invasion, as well as reduced the accumulation of TSPAN3, CD63, and ITGB2. Further study showed that the ERK-MNK pathway was responsible for the regulation of PEDV-induced early phosphorylation of eIF4E. This paper demonstrates for the first time the connections among p-eIF4E stimulation and membrane-residential host factors. Our findings also enrich the understanding of the biological function of phosphorylated eIF4E during the viral life cycle.IMPORTANCEThe eukaryotic translation initiation factor eIF4E can regulate cellular translation via phosphorylation. In our previous study, several host factors susceptible to a high level of p-eIF4E were found to be conducive to viral infection by coronavirus PEDV. The current paper is focused on cell membrane-residential factors, which are involved in signal pathways that are sensitive to phosphorylated eIF4E. We found that the ERK-MNK pathway was activated, which resulted in the stimulation of phosphorylation of eIF4E in early PEDV infection. Phospho-eIF4E promoted the viral invasion of PEDV by upregulating the expression of host factors TSPAN3, CD63, and ITGB2 at the translation level rather than at the transcription level. Moreover, TSPAN3, CD63, or ITGB2 facilitates the efficient entry of coronavirus SARS-CoV, SARS-CoV-2, and HCoV-OC43. Our findings broaden our insights into the dynamic phosphorylation of eIF4E during the viral life cycle, and provide further evidence that phosphorylated eIF4E regulates selective translation of host mRNA.

Bell's theorem states that the quantum mechanical description of physical quantities cannot be fully explained by local realistic theories, laying a solid basis for various quantum information applications. Hardy's paradox is celebrated as the simplest form of Bell's theorem concerning its "All versus Nothing" approach to test local realism. However, due to experimental imperfections, existing tests of Hardy's paradox require additional assumptions of the experimental systems, and these assumptions constitute potential loopholes for faithfully testing local realistic theories. Here, we experimentally demonstrate Hardy's nonlocality through a photonic entanglement source. By achieving a detection efficiency of 82.2%, a quantum state fidelity of 99.10%, and applying high-speed quantum random number generators for the measurement setting switching, the experiment is implemented in a loophole-free manner. During 6 h of running, a strong violation of P_{Hardy}=4.646×10^{-4} up to 5 standard deviations is observed with 4.32×10^{9} trials. A null hypothesis test shows that the results can be explained by local realistic theories with an upper bound probability of 10^{-16348}. These testing results provide affirmative evidence against local realism, and establish an advancing benchmark for quantum information applications based on Hardy's paradox.

Contextuality is a distinctive feature of quantum theory and a fundamental resource for quantum computation. However, existing examples of contextuality in high-dimensional systems lack the necessary robustness required in experiments. Here, we address this problem by identifying a family of noncontextuality inequalities whose maximum quantum violation grows with the dimension of the system. At first glance, this contextuality is the single-system version of multipartite Bell nonlocality taken to an extreme form. What is interesting is that the single-system version achieves the same degree of contextuality but uses a Hilbert space of lower dimension. That is, contextuality "concentrates" as the degree of contextuality per dimension increases. We show the practicality of this result by presenting an experimental test of contextuality in a seven-dimensional system. By simulating sequences of quantum ideal measurements with destructive measurements and repreparation in an all-optical setup, we report a violation of 68.7 standard deviations of the simplest case of the noncontextuality inequalities identified. Our results advance the investigation of high-dimensional contextuality, its connection to the Clifford algebra, and its role in quantum computation.

BACKGROUND: Previous research has shown the strong association between psychotic-like experiences (PLEs) and suicide. However, the predictive role of PLEs in suicidal ideation (SI) during the COVID-19 pandemic remains unclear. AIMS: This study aimed to explore the association between PLEs before the pandemic and SI during the pandemic among late adolescents. METHODS: A total of 938 technical secondary school and college students completed both waves of the online survey before and during the pandemic. PLEs were assessed through the 15-item Positive Subscale of the Community Assessment of Psychic Experiences. SI was evaluated by the frequency of SI during the pandemic. RESULTS: In early stage of the pandemic, most students had low frequent SI, and only 3.3% students showed high frequent SI. Compared to the low frequent group, the high frequent group exhibited significantly higher levels of PLEs (p < 0.001) and scored lower in resilience (p = .001) and perceived social support (p = .008) across the two timepoints. PLEs were significantly associated with higher risk of high frequent SI (OR = 2.56, 95%: 1.07-6.13), while better resilience (OR: 0.93, 95% CI: 0.88-0.99) and stronger perceived social support (OR: 0.96, 95% CI: 0.93-0.99) appeared to be protective factors. No interactions were found among PLEs and other psychosocial and psychological factors. CONCLUSIONS: PLEs may increase the risk of SI in early stage of the pandemic, while good resilience and adequate social support can help weaken the risk.

BACKGROUND: The evaluation of mothers' breastfeeding behaviour within 6 weeks postpartum could help health workers comprehensively identify maternal breastfeeding shortcomings, clarify nursing problems, and provide targeted interventions. However, no prior study was found, therefore this study aimed to develop and validate the reliability and validity of the mothers' breastfeeding behaviour scale within 6 weeks postpartum. METHODS: A main two-step approach was used: (1) a qualitative pilot study using the purposive sampling method was adopted to test the fitness, simplicity, and clarity of items with 30 mothers; (2) a cross-sectional survey using the convenient sampling method was conducted for item analysis and psychometric validation with 600 mothers. RESULTS: The final version of the scale consisted of 36 items with seven dimensions, explaining 68.852% of the total variance. The Cronbach's α, split-half, and retest coefficients were 0.958, 0.843, and 0.753, respectively. The validity of the scale: (1) Content validity: content validity index (CVI) range of items was between 0.882 and 1.000. The scale-level-CVI was 0.990. (2) Structure validity: The fitting indices were as follows: χ2/ⅆf =2.239, RMR = 0.049, RMSEA = 0.069, TLI = 0.893, CFI = 0.903, IFI = 0.904, PGFI = 0.674, and PNFI = 0.763. (3) Convergent validity: The composite reliability and average variance extracted (AVE) of the seven dimensions were between 0.876 and 0.920 and between 0.594 and 0.696. (4) Distinguish validity: The correlation coefficients were less than the square root of the AVE, except for self-decision behaviour, self-coping behaviour, and self-control behaviour. However, the fit index of the original three-factor model was better than that of the other new models, with significant differences (P < 0.001). (5) Calibration validity: The area under the curve was 0.860 or 0.898 when the scale was used to predict exclusive or any breastfeeding at 42 days. The correlation coefficients of the maternal breasting feeding evaluation scale, breastfeeding self-efficacy short-form scale, and the scale were 0.569 and 0.674, respectively. CONCLUSION: The newly developed mothers' breastfeeding behaviour scale within 6 weeks postpartum consists of 36 items belonging to seven dimensions with good reliability and validity and is a reliable and valid instrument to be used in future maternal breastfeeding behaviour assessments and interventions.

A new terrein dimer named lichtheicol A (1) and a new meroterpene named lichtheiterpene A (2), were isolated from the mangrove endophytic fungus Lichtheimia sp. J2B1, together with 10 known compounds (3-12). The planar structures and absolute configurations of 1 and 2 were established by a combination of extensive spectroscopic data analyses and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) calculations. Compounds 4 and 5 exhibited marked inhibitory effects against butyrylcholinesterase (BuChE) with IC50 values of 0.71 and 0.53 µM, respectively.

Laccases have been widely used for fruit juice clarification, food modification, and paper pulp delignification. In addition, laccases exhibit remarkable performance in the degradation of toxic substances, including pesticides, organic synthetic dyes, antibiotics, and organic pollutants. Thus, the screening and development of robust laccases has attracted significant attention. In this study, Vibrio sp. LA is a strain capable of producing cold-adapted laccases. The laccase coding gene L01 was cloned from this strain and expressed in Yarrowia lipolytica, a host with good secretion ability. The secreted L01 (approximate MW of 56,000 Da) had the activity and specific activity of 18.6 U/mL and 98.6 U/mg toward ABTS, respectively. The highest activity occurred at 35 °C. At 20 °C, L01 activity was over 70% of the maximum activity in pH conditions ranging from 4.5-10.0. Several synthetic dyes were efficiently degraded by L01. Owing to its robustness, salt tolerance, and pH stability, L01 is a promising catalytic tool for potential industrial applications.

We aimed to assess the feeding pattern and influencing factors within six weeks postpartum on exclusive breastfeeding duration among Chinese mothers. This study was conducted using 2:1 matched case-control study. Cases and controls were matched for maternal age, parity and mode of birth. A total of 210 women were included. Approximately 67.9% of women stopped exclusive breastfeeding within the first six weeks postpartum. Maternal non-exclusive breastfeeding intention, lower maternal educational level, mother-infant skin to skin contact over one hour, unsatisfied breastfeeding self-evaluation and maternal unhealthy condition within the first six weeks were risk factors for ceasing exclusive breastfeeding early.

INTRODUCTION: Worldwide, falls lead to possible complications such as prolonged hospitalization, prolonged bed rest, pressure injuries, fractures and mortality. AIMS: The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of novel fall prevention strategies that utilized technology in preventing falls. METHODS: The meta-analysis and systematic review was guided by the Cochrane guidelines for systematic reviews of interventions. The authors searched databases for specified keywords. RESULTS: A total of 22 studies were included. Interventions included multi-modal fall prevention interventions, camera surveillance, motion sensors and bed/chair exit alarms. Video monitoring was equivocal in reducing fall rates. Exit alarms statistically significantly reduce falls between groups but not within groups. The interventions were not statistically significant in reducing falls with minor injuries but they were statistically significant in reducing falls with serious injuries including fractures. CONCLUSION: A comprehensive fall prevention care plan, rather than one specific intervention, is necessary to prevent falls effectively.

INTRODUCTION: Despite the high prevalence of mental health disorders, professional help seeking was often unsought, worsening impairments in overall functioning among those who experienced them. AIM: This study aimed to evaluate the online HOPE intervention on help-seeking attitudes and intentions among young adults 18 to 24 years old in a University in Singapore. The study also described the process evaluation of the online HOPE intervention. METHOD: The study adopted a parallel two arms RCT. Outcome measurements measured at baseline, post-test and two-month follow-up were (1) recognition of depression, (2) barriers of help-seeking, (3) help-seeking intentions (4) attitudes about interventions, help sources, medications and (5) participants' perceptions about the intervention. RESULTS: At post-test, intervention group had significantly lower acknowledgement of depression as stress. At two months, control group was significantly more concerned about side effects of medications. There were no significant differences in all barriers of help-seeking between groups, pre and post intervention. The intervention group had greater acknowledgement of antidepressants, tranquilisers and antipsychotics. Thematic analysis revealed four main themes. DISCUSSION: There was high baseline recognition of depression. Improvements in help-seeking intentions were partially attributed to decreased help-seeking barriers. IMPLICATION FOR PRACTICE: The online HOPE intervention could be promptly implemented for young adults to enhance the identification of mental health disorders, early help-seeking and recovery. Nurses played an important role in patient education, and online interventions are especially crucial during this Covid period which mandated social distancing. [NCT04266119].

Masking of quantum information spreads it over nonlocal correlations and hides it from the subsystems. It is known that no operation can simultaneously mask all pure states [Phys. Rev. Lett. 120, 230501 (2018)PRLTAO0031-900710.1103/PhysRevLett.120.230501], so in what sense is quantum information masking useful? Here, we extend the definition of quantum information masking to general mixed states, and show that the resource of maskable quantum states is far more abundant than the no-go theorem seemingly suggests. Geometrically, the simultaneously maskable states lays on hyperdisks in the state hypersphere, and strictly contains the broadcastable states. We devise a photonic quantum information masking machine using time-correlated photons to experimentally investigate the properties of qubit masking, and demonstrate the transfer of quantum information into bipartite correlations and its faithful retrieval. The versatile masking machine has decent extensibility, and may be applicable to quantum secret sharing and fault-tolerant quantum communication. Our results provide some insights on the comprehension and potential application of quantum information masking.

The aim of this paper was to explore the key genes and pathogenesis of ischemic stroke(IS) by bioinformatics, and predict the potential traditional Chinese medicines for IS. Based on the gene-chip raw data set of GSE22255 from National Center of Biotechnology Information(NCBI), the article enrolled in 20 patients with ischemic stroke and 20 sex-and age-matched controls, and differentially expressed genes(DEGs) were screened based on R language software. The DAVID tool and R language software were used to perform gene ontology(GO) biological process enrichment analysis and Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and gnomes(KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis. The DEGs were imported into STRING to construct a protein-protein interaction network, and the Molecular Complexity Module(MCODE) plug-in of Cytoscape software was used to visualize and analyze the key functional modules. Moreover, the core genes and the medical ontology information retrieval platform(Coremine Medical) were mapped to each other to screen the traditional Chinese medicines and construct drug-active ingredient-target network. Compared with healthy controls, 14 DEGs were obtained, of which 12 genes were up-regulated and 2 genes were down-regulated. DEGs were mainly involved in immune response, inflammatory process, signal transduction, and cell proliferation regulation. The interleukin-17(IL-17), nuclear factor kappaB(NF-κB), tumor necrosis factor(TNF), nucleotide binding oligomerization domain(NOD)-like receptor and other signaling pathways were involved in KEGG pathway enrichment analysis. The key modules of the DEGs-encoding protein interaction network mainly focused on 7 genes of TNF, JUN, recombinant immediate early response 3(IER3), recombinant early growth response protein 1(EGR1), prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2(PTGS2), C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 8(CXCL8) and C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 2(CXCL2), which were involved in biological processes widely such as neuroinflammation and immunity. TNF and JUN were the key nodes in this module, which might become potential biological markers for diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of IS. The potential traditional Chinese medicines for the treatment of IS includes Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, Croci Stigma, Scutellariae Radix, and Cannabis Fructus. The occurrence of stroke was the result of multiple factors. Dysregulation of genes and pathways related to immune regulation and inflammation may be the key link for the development of IS. This study provided research direction and theoretical basis for further exploring the mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of IS and searching for potential drug targets.

Chemical constituents of water extracts of Asplenium ruprechtii were investigated. Five compounds were isolated by silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 gel column chromatographies and preparative HPLC, and their structures were identified by various spectral analyses as aspleniumside G(1), trans-p-coumaric acid(2), trans-p-coumaric acid 4-O-ß-D-glucoside(3), cis-p-coumaric acid 4-O-ß-D-glucoside(4), and(E)-ferulic acid-4-O-ß-D-glucoside(5). Among them, compound 1 is a new 9,19-cycloartane glycoside.

Midkine (MK) is a low molecular-weight protein that was first identified as the product of a retinoic acid-responsive gene involved in embryonic development. Recent studies have indicated that MK levels are related to various diseases, including cardiovascular disease (CVD), renal disease and autoimmune disease. MK is a growth factor involved in multiple pathophysiological processes, such as inflammation, the repair of damaged tissues and cancer. The pathophysiological roles of MK are diverse. MK enhances the recruitment and migration of inflammatory cells upon inflammation directly and also through induction of chemokines, and contributes to tissue damage. In lung endothelial cells, oxidative stress increased the expression of MK, which induced angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) expression and the consequent conversion from Ang I to Ang II, leading to further oxidative stress. MK inhibited cholesterol efflux from macrophages by reducing ATP-binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1) expression, which is involved in lipid metabolism, suggesting that MK is an important positive factor involved in inflammation, oxidative stress and lipid metabolism. Furthermore, MK can regulate the expansion, differentiation and activation of T cells as well as B-cell survival; mediate angiogenic and antibacterial activity; and possess anti-apoptotic activity. In this paper, we summarize the pathophysiological roles of MK in human disease.

A central result in the foundations of quantum mechanics is the Kochen-Specker theorem. In short, it states that quantum mechanics cannot be reconciled with classical models that are noncontextual for ideal measurements. The first explicit derivation by Kochen and Specker was rather complex, but considerable simplifications have been achieved thereafter. We propose a systematic approach to find minimal Hardy-type and Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger-type (GHZ-type) proofs of the Kochen-Specker theorem, these are characterized by the fact that the predictions of classical models are opposite to the predictions of quantum mechanics. Based on our results, we show that the Kochen-Specker set with 18 vectors from Cabello et al. [Phys. Lett. A 212, 183 (1996)PYLAAG0375-960110.1016/0375-9601(96)00134-X] is the minimal set for any dimension, verifying a longstanding conjecture by Peres. Our results allow to identify minimal contextuality scenarios and to study their usefulness for information processing.

BACKGROUND: Trophoblast cells are required for the establishment of pregnancy and fetal development. Apoptosis is an essential feature for trophoblast invasion. Uncontrolled trophoblast apoptosis is related to some complicate pregnancies. Oxidative stress (OS) is an important inducer of trophoblast apoptosis. Cyclosporin A (CsA) has been shown to promote the activity of trophoblast cells and reduce OS-induced oxidative injury. We investigated the role and mechanism of CsA in oxidative stress-induced trophoblast cell apoptosis. METHODS: JEG-3 cells were cocultured with H2O2 and CsA. Cell viability and morphology were measured by MTT assay and DAPI staining. Cell apoptosis was tested with annexin V/PI staining. The expression of Bcl-2-associated X protein (Bax), B-cell lymphoma/leukemia-2 (Bcl-2), cleaved poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) and pro-caspase-3 was assayed by western blotting. The protein expression and phosphorylation of p53 and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) kinases (JNK, ERK1/2 and p38) were examined by western blotting. RESULTS: CsA increased the viability, alleviated morphological injury and reduced cell apoptosis of the H2O2-treated JEG-3 cells. CsA also attenuated the activation of p53, decreased the expression of Bax and cleavage of PARP, and increased the expression of Bcl-2 and pro-caspase-3 in the JEG-3 treated with H2O2. Furthermore, CsA reduced the activation of JNK and P38 but had no significant effect on the activation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2) in the H2O2-treated JEG-3 cells. Promoting the activation of JNK and p38 impaired the protective effect of CsA on OS-induced trophoblast apoptosis. CONCLUSIONS: These results suggested that CsA protected trophoblast cells from OS-induced apoptosis via the inhibition of the p53 and JNK/p38 signaling pathways.

The mechanism of cognitive dysfunction in diabetes is still unclear. Recently, studies have shown that the cerebellum is involved in cognition. Furthermore, diabetes-induced cerebellar alterations is related to vascular changes. Therefore, we aimed to explore the roles of vascular function in diabetes-induced cerebellar damage and motor learning deficits. Type 1 diabetes was induced by a single injection of streptozotocin in Sprague-Dawley rats. Motor learning was assessed by beam walk test and beam balance test. The pathological changes of the cerebellum were assessed by Hematoxylin and eosin staining and Nissl staining. Apoptosis was evaluated by anti-caspase-3 immunostaining. Protein expression was evaluated by western blotting and double immunofluorescence. Our results have shown that motor learning was impaired in diabetic rats, coupled with damaged Purkinje cells and decreased capillary density in the cerebellum. In addition, the protein expression of neuronal NOS, inducible NOS, endothelial NOS, total nitric oxide, vascular endothelial growth factor and its cognate receptor Flk-1 was decreased in the cerebellum. Gastrodin treatment ameliorated neuronal damage and restored protein expression of relevant factors. Arising from the above, it is suggested that vascular dysfunction and NO signaling deficits in the cerebellum may be the underlying mechanism of early manifestations of cognitive impairment in diabetes, which could be ameliorated by gastrodin intervention.

RESUMEN

AIMS: The study aims to examine the effectiveness of the online HOPE intervention to increase mental health literacy (MHL), psychological well-being (PWB); and in reducing stress among youths aged 18-24 living in Singapore. DESIGN: The study will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will adopt a single-group pre-post repeated quasi-experimental research design. The second phase adopts a two-group, parallel randomized control trial, with a pre-test, posttest and follow-up. METHODS: The study will be conducted in a University in Singapore, in 2019-2021. Participants will be recruited and randomly assigned into one of the two groups. Approval from the institutional review board has been obtained in August 2019. Research funding from National Youth Fund has been obtained in November 2019. Outcome measures will be measured using Depression Literacy Questionnaire, Anxiety literacy Questionnaire, validated depression vignette, Ryff's PWB Scale and Perceived Stress Scale, at baseline, postintervention and 2 months' follow-up. Participants' perceptions of the intervention will be measured qualitatively. DISCUSSION: The online HOPE intervention had been developed based on the principles of the Self-Efficacy Theory. IMPACT: There is no research about MHL intervention in Singapore. Low MHL prevents early help-seeking and delays treatment. Hence, this study highlights the importance of mental health public education as primary care. Increased MHL will enhance early help-seeking behaviours, promoting early recovery and enhancing the health of the young people worldwide.

The heart girth parameter is an important indicator reflecting the growth and development of pigs that provides critical guidance for the optimization of healthy pig breeding. To overcome the heavy workloads and poor adaptability of traditional measurement methods currently used in pig breeding, this paper proposes an automated pig heart girth measurement method using two Kinect depth sensors. First, a two-view pig depth image acquisition platform is established for data collection; the two-view point clouds after preprocessing are registered and fused by feature-based improved 4-Point Congruent Set (4PCS) method. Second, the fused point cloud is pose-normalized, and the axillary contour is used to automatically extract the heart girth measurement point. Finally, this point is taken as the starting point to intercept the circumferential perpendicular to the ground from the pig point cloud, and the complete heart girth point cloud is obtained by mirror symmetry. The heart girth is measured along this point cloud using the shortest path method. Using the proposed method, experiments were conducted on two-view data from 26 live pigs. The results showed that the heart girth measurement absolute errors were all less than 4.19 cm, and the average relative error was 2.14%, which indicating a high accuracy and efficiency of this method.

Cardiac hypertrophy is a result of cardiac response to excessive heart burden. The sustention of hypertrophic stress indicates a higher risk of cardiac failure or even sudden death. Despite the increasing research works on cardiac hypertrophy, there remains a considerable space left for further mechanism exploration. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a cluster of transcripts lacking in protein coding potential. Past decades have witnessed the increasing identification of their significant roles in cardiac hypertrophy. Small nucleolar RNA host gene 7 (SNHG7) has been identified as an oncogene in human cancers, but its function in cardiac hypertrophy remains unknown. SDA1 domain containing 1 (SDAD1) is newly discovered to exert procancer function in several cancers, whose role in cardiac hypertrophy remains elusive. Present study sought to investigate the biological function of SNHG7 in cardiac hypertrophy. First, the expressions of SNHG7 and SDAD1 were found to be upregulated in Ang II-induced cardiac hypertrophy model in the neonatal rat cardiomyocytes (NRCMs). Functionally, loss-of-function assays verified that silencing SNHG7 and SDAD1 attenuated the inductive effect of Ang II on cardiac hypertrophy. Mechanistically, we proved that SNHG7 interacted with Hu Antigen R so as to stabilize SDAD1 messenger RNA (mRNA). In conclusion, this study proved that SNHG7 facilitates cardiac hypertrophy via the stabilization of SDAD1 mRNA, indicating SNHG7 as a novel regulator for cardiac hypertrophy.
