RESUMEN
Using a wide complex of biochemical indices 166 patients with cerebral atherosclerosis were examined. It was shown that in this disease regardless of the period of acute stage a deficiency of the brain circulation of physicochemical changes of the serum proteins, lipoproteins and an oppression of the process of cholesterol exterfication precede quantitative accumulation of total cholesterol in the blood, beta-lipoproteins, a decrease of the lecethin level and changes of protein fractions. Heparin treatment along with improvement of the patients' clinical state, indices of general and brain hemodynamics decreased a free cholesterol level, increased the strength of cholesterol and apoprotein relationship and phosphorolipid content in the blood. In the author's opinion one of the leading causes of lipoprotein metabolic disorders in atherosclerosis can be a change of hormonal regulation of the activity in proteins enzymes of the organs and tissues, including the enzymes regulating an oxidation-reduction process in the organism. The significance of the studied indices for diagnosis and medical labour examination is considered.

On the basis of a profound clinico-biochemical study of 182 patients with hypertensive disease the authors established that the development of chronic insufficiency of cerebral circulation in this disorder is accompanied by quantitative and physico-chemical changes in the lipoprotein metabolism. These indices do not change significantly following short sessions of heparinotherpy and comprehensive treatment. Their diagnostical significance for medico-occupational examinations is discussed.

By means of clinical and instrumental diagnosis the authors displayed a high effectiveness in the preventive treatment of patients with atherosclerosis and hypertensive disease by heparin in the period of remission. At the same time following treatment some patients especially with hypertensive disease revealed a marked activation of the hypercoagulative blood properties which exceeded the intial level. The authors discuss the possible mechanisms of this reaction.

Experiments with 68 white rats have demonstrated that, comparing to the normal, density and area of the pancreatic islets capillaries at alloxan diabetes decreases and is followed by elevation of blood suger and drop in insulin containing erythrocytes. At purposeful revascularization (splenectomy) density and area of capillary surface in the pancreatic islets increases, and diffusion radius decreases, that is accompanied by improved endocrinal function and makes it possible to estimate positively the method of revascularization of the pancreas.

In 35 cats by means of methods for the blood bed injection and revealing the pancreatic islets after K. Kramlinger, R. Mayrand and N. Lifson (1979) with an additional pikrofucsin staining, the microcirculatory bed of the pancreatic lobe has been studied at light and electron microscopic level. It is presented as arterioles, precapillary arterioles, capillaries of the pancreatic islets and the exocrinic part of the gland, postcapillary venules and venules. The precapillary arterioles always branch into capillaries within the limits of the pancreatic islets. Position of the pancreatic islets, structure of the capillaries surrounding the acini, that of the postcapillaries and connected with them pericapillary and intercellular spaces make it possible for hormones of the endocrinic cells to produce local (paracrinic) effects on the cellular elements of the pancreas.

The main causes of sudden death of patients suffering myocardial infarction are described. The authors established based on autopsy data the frequency, location, time of development, causes of possible pathogenetic mechanisms and morphology of ruptures of the heart in acute myocardial infarction.
