RESUMEN
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the correlation between serum laminin (LN) levels and clinical stages of heart failure in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods: A total of 277 patients with chronic heart failure were selected from September 2019 to June 2020 in the Department of Cardiology, Second Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University. Based on stages of heart failure, the patients were divided into four groups: stage A, stage B, stage C, and stage D, with 55, 54, 77, and 91 cases, respectively. At the same time, 70 healthy people in this period were selected as the control group. Baseline data were recorded and serum Laminin (LN) levels were measured. The research compared, the differences in baseline data among the four groups of HF and normal controls, and analyzed the correlation between N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to evaluate the predictive value of LN in the C-D stage of heart failure. Logistic multivariate ordered analysis was applied to screen the independent related factors of clinical stages of heart failure. Results: Serum LN levels in patients with chronic heart failure were significantly higher than those in healthy people, which were 33.2 (21.38, 101.9)â ng/ml and 20.45 (15.53, 23.04)â ng/ml, respectively. With the progression of clinical stages of HF, serum LN and NT-proBNP levels increased, while LVEF gradually decreased (P < 0.05). Correlation analysis showed that LN was positively correlated with NT-proBNP (r = 0.744, P = 0.000) and negatively correlated with LVEF (r = -0.568, P = 0.000). The area under the ROC curve of LN for predicting C and D stages of heart failure was 0.913, 95% confidence interval was 0.882-0.945, P = 0.000, specificity 94.97%, and sensitivity 77.38%. Multivariate Logistic analysis showed that LN, Total bilirubin, NT-proBNP and HA were all independent correlates of heart failure staging. Conclusion: Serum LN levels in patients with chronic heart failure are significantly increased and are independently correlated with the clinical stages of heart failure. It could potentially be an early warning index of the progression and severity of heart failure.
RESUMEN
Two ion-pair Fe(iii) complexes (PPh4)[FeIII(HATD)2]·2H2O (1, H3ATD = azotetrazolyl-2,7-dihydroxynaphthalene) and [FeII(phen)3][FeIII(HATD)2]2·3DMA·3.5H2O (2, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, DMA = N,N-dimethylformamide) were synthesized by employing the tridentate ligand H3ATD. Crystal structure analyses reveal that complexes 1 and 2 consist of FeIII ions in an octahedral environment where a FeIII ion is coordinated by two HATD2- ligands forming the [FeIII(HATD)2]- core. The shortest cationanion distance between the phosphorus ion of the (PPh4)+ cation and the ferric ion of the [FeIII(HATD)2]- anion is 13.190 Å in complex 1, whereas that between the ferrous ion of the [FeII(Phen)3]2+ cation and the ferric ion of the [FeIII(HATD)2]- anion is 7.821 Å in complex 2. C-HC and C-HO hydrogen interactions between the [FeII(phen)3]2+ cation and the [FeIII(HATD)2]- anion are observed in 2. Face-to-face π-π stacking interactions between naphthalene rings with the separated interplanar center to center distances of 3.421-3.680 Å were observed, which result in a one-dimensional supramolecular chain in complexes 1 and 2. Magnetic measurements show that complex 1 is in the low-spin (LS) state below 500 K, whereas 2 undergoes a high temperature spin crossover (SCO) between 360 and 500 K. Magneto-structural relationship studies reveal that π-stacking, hydrogen interactions and Coulomb interactions between the [FeIII(HATD)2]- anion and the [FeII(phen)3]2+ cation play a crucial role in the high temperature Fe(iii) SCO behaviour of complex 2.
RESUMEN
This research investigated the performance of an aerobic granular reactor treating biogas slurry from pig farm. Results indicated that the granular structure of aerobic sludge was not affected by the high pollution concentrationsin the biogas slurry. Although a low removal rate of phosphate was found in this study (about 16%±2%), organic matter and ammonia nitrogen showed stable removal and transformation in the granular system, and the effluent concentrations of those components were (267±81)mg·L-1 and(62±12)mg·L-1, respectively. In addition, the removal rate of sulfamethazine and tetracycline was 98%±2% and 65%±16%, respectively. During the process biogas slurry treatment, bacterial communities in the aerobic granular reactor remained stable, and Comamonadaceae was the dominant bacteria (relative abundance ofapproximately 16.66%).
