Objective: Explore the application of Delphi method and analytic hierarchy process to explore the construction of scientific, objective and comprehensive evaluation index system for healthy enterprise construction and promote the construction of healthy enterprises. Methods: In October 2022, through Delphi expert consultation and analytic hierarchy process, the indexes were screened and the weights of the indexes were determined, and the evaluation index system of healthy enterprises was established. Results: The positive coefficients of experts in the two rounds were all 100.00%, the authority coefficient of experts was 0.82, the coefficients of variation of the indexes in the two rounds were all less than 0.30. The coordination coefficients of experts in the first and second rounds were 0.64 and 0.77, respectively (P<0.001) . After two rounds of Delphi method expert consultation, a healthy enterprise evaluation index system including 4 first-level indexes, 14 second-level indexes, and 63 third-level indexes was constructed. Conclusion: The constructed health enterprise evaluation index system is highly scientific and reliable, covering the main factors of healthy enterprise construction, and providing a reliable and quantifiable basis and self-assessment basis for the establishment of healthy enterprises.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the characteristics of severe periodontitis with various number of tooth loss during 4-year natural progression, and to analyze the factors related to higher rate of tooth loss. METHODS: A total of 217 patients aged 15 to 44 years with severe periodontitis were included, who participated in a 4-year natural progression research. Data obtained from questionnaire survey, clinical examination and radiographic measurement. Tooth loss during 4-year natural progression was evaluated. The baseline periodontal disease related and caries related factors were calculated, including number of teeth with bone loss > 50%, number of missing molars, number of teeth with widened periodontal ligament space (WPDL), number of teeth with periapical lesions and etc. Characteristics of populations with various number of tooth loss and the related factors that affected higher rate of tooth loss were analyzed. RESULTS: In 4 years of natural progression, 103 teeth were lost, and annual tooth loss per person was 0.12±0.38. Nine patients lost 3 or more teeth. Thirty-four patients lost 1 or 2 teeth, and 174 patients were absent of tooth loss. Molars were mostly frequent to lose, and canines presented a minimum loss. The number of teeth with WPDL, with periapical lesions, with intrabony defects, with probing depth (PD)≥7 mm, with PD≥5 mm, with clinical attachment loss≥5 mm, with bone loss > 50% and with bone loss > 65% were positively correlated to number of tooth loss. Results from orderly multivariate Logistic regression showd that the number of teeth with bone loss > 50% OR=1.550), baseline number of molars lost (OR=1.774), number of teeth with WPDL (1 to 2: OR=1.415; ≥3: OR=13.105), number of teeth with periapical lesions (1 to 2: OR=4.393; ≥3: OR=9.526) and number of teeth with caries/residual roots (OR=3.028) were significant risk factors related to higher likelihood of tooth loss and multiple tooth loss. CONCLUSION: In 4 years of natural progression, the number of teeth with bone loss > 50%, baseline number of missing molars, number of teeth with WPDL, baseline number of teeth with periapical lesions and number of teeth with caries/residual roots were significantly related to higher risk of tooth loss and multiple tooth loss among Chinese young and middle-aged patients with severe periodontitis in rural areas.

BACKGROUND: Tinea capitis is still common in developing countries, such as China. Its pathogen spectrum varies across regions and changes over time. OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to clarify the current epidemiological characteristics and pathogen spectrum of tinea capitis in China. METHODS: A multicentre, prospective descriptive study involving 29 tertiary hospitals in China was conducted. From August 2019 to July 2020, 611 patients with tinea capitis were enrolled. Data concerning demography, risk factors and fungal tests were collected. When necessary, the pathogens were further identified by morphology or molecular sequencing in the central laboratory. RESULTS: Among all enrolled patients, 74·1% of the cases were in patients aged 2-8 years. The children with tinea capitis were mainly boys (56·2%) and were more likely than adults to have a history of animal contact (57·4% vs. 35·3%, P = 0·012) and zoophilic dermatophyte infection (73·5% vs. 47%). The adults were mainly female (83%) and were more likely than children to have anthropophilic agent infection (53% vs. 23·9%). The most common pathogen was zoophilic Microsporum canis (354, 65·2%), followed by anthropophilic Trichophyton violaceum (74, 13·6%). In contrast to the eastern, western and northeastern regions, where zoophilic M. canis predominated, anthropophilic T. violaceum predominated in central China (69%, P < 0·001), where the patients had the most tinea at other sites (20%) and dermatophytosis contact (26%) but the least animal contact (39%). Microsporum ferrugineum was the most common anthropophilic agent in the western area, especially in Xinjiang province. CONCLUSIONS: Boys aged approximately 5 years were the most commonly affected group. Dermatologists are advised to pay more attention to the different transmission routes and pathogen spectra in different age groups from different regions.

Objective: Systematically summarize the research progress of clinical trials of gastric cancer oncology drugs and the overview of marketed drugs in China from 2012 to 2021, providing data and decision-making evidence for relevant departments. Methods: Based on the registration database of the drug clinical trial registration and information disclosure platform of Food and Drug Administration of China and the data query system of domestic and imported drugs, the information on gastric cancer drug clinical trials, investigational drugs and marketed drugs from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2021 was analyzed, and the differences between Chinese and foreign enterprises in terms of trial scope, trial phase, treatment lines and drug type, effect and mechanism studies were compared. Results: A total of 114 drug clinical trials related to gastric tumor were registered in China from 2012 to 2021, accounting for 3.7% (114/3 041) of all anticancer drug clinical trials in the same period, the registration number showed a significant growth rate after 2016 and reached its peak with 32 trials in 2020. Among them, 85 (74.6%, 85/114) trials were initiated by Chinese pharmaceutical enterprise. Compared with foreign pharmaceutical enterprise, Chinese pharmaceutical enterprise had higher rates of phase I trials (35.3% vs 6.9%, P=0.001), but the rate of international multicenter trials (11.9% vs 67.9%, P<0.001) was relatively low. There were 76 different drugs involved in relevant clinical trials, of which 65 (85.5%) were targeted drugs. For targeted drugs, HER2 is the most common one (14 types), followed by PD-1 and multi-target VEGER. In the past ten years, 3 of 4 marketed drugs for gastric cancer treatment were domestic and included in the national medical insurance directory. Conclusions: From 2012 to 2021, China has made some progress in drug research and development for gastric carcinoma. However, compared with the serious disease burden, it is still insufficient. Targeted strengthening of research and development of investment in many aspects of gastric cancer drugs, such as new target discovery, matured target excavating, combination drug development and early line therapy promotion, is the key work in the future, especially for domestic companies.

OBJECTIVES: The aim was to analyse the overall and sex-specific associations between cannabis use and physical activity and sedentary behaviour. STUDY DESIGN: Cross-sectional analyses from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). METHODS: Data on cannabis use and leisure time physical activity and sedentary behaviour from NHANES cycles 2007-2008 to 2015-2016 were analysed. Multivariable regression models were carried out. RESULTS: About 15,822 participants were analysed (mean age ± standard error = 37.5 ± 0.19 years, range 20-59 years). Significantly higher odds were found for being active and ever used cannabis in the overall sample (odds ratio [OR] = 1.2, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.1-1.4) and in males (OR = 1.3, 95% CI: 1.1 to 1.5) and females (OR = 1.2, 95% CI: 1.0-1.4), respectively. In respective of sedentary behaviour, ever used cannabis was associated with higher odds of TV viewing ≥2 h/day in the overall sample (OR = 1.2, 95% CI: 1.0-1.4). However, this association was observed in males only (OR = 1.3, 95% CI: 1.1-1.6). Ever used cannabis was associated with total sitting time (beta-coefficient = 0.3, 95%CI: 0.1-0.4), which was more evident in females (beta-coefficient = 0.4, 95% CI: 0.1-0.6). CONCLUSIONS: Cannabis consumption was associated with higher levels of physical activity and sitting time. When intervening to reduce cannabis consumption in the US populations, it may be appropriate to promote physical activity and ensure physical activity is maintained once cannabis consumption is stopped.

Objective: To explore the latest progress of oncology drug clinical trials in China under COVID-19, as well as to provide decision-making evidence for related stakeholders. Research progress of oncology drug trials and approved cancer drugs in China in 2020 were systematically summarized and compared with 2019. Methods: Information Disclosure Platform for Drug Clinical Studies and China Food and Drug Administration Query System for Domestic and Imported Drug were searched for registered clinical trials and approved oncology drugs, respectively. The trial scope, stage, drug type, effect and mechanism of domestic and global pharmaceutical enterprises were compared between 2019 and 2020. Results: A total of 722 cancer drug trials registered in China in 2020, with an annual growth rate of 52.3%, accounting for 28.3% of all registered trials. Among them, 603 (83.5%) trials were initiated by domestic pharmaceutical enterprises, and 105 (14.5%) were international multicenter trials, phase I trials accounted for 44.5%. For all those trials, there were 458 cancer drug varieties, with an annual growth rate of 36.7%, and 361 (85.8%) were developed by domestic enterprises. Most of the investigational products were therapeutic innovative drugs (77.1%), major in tumor treatment (92.8%). In terms of mechanism, targeted drugs were the most popular, accounting for 76.6%, and programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) and epithelial growth factor receptor (EGFR) were the most common targets. In addition, there were 19 anticancer drugs from 17 companies approved in China in 2019, with 10 drugs from domestic companies. Lung cancer and breast cancer are the most common indications for both registered trials and marketed drugs. No statistically significant differences were found between 2020 and 2019 in terms of the distribution of trial sponsor, scope and stage, as well as the distribution of drug type, effect and mechanism (P>0.05). Conclusions: During the Covid-19 epidemic period, clinical trials of oncology drugs in China progress smoothly and maintain a high growth rate. Series of innovative products obtained by domestic enterprises in 2020 is the main driving force of development of oncology drug clinical trials in China.

Objective: To investigate the use of deep learning approaches to improve the image quality of arterial spin labeling (ASL) and optimize its quantitative accuracy for cerebral blood flow (CBF). Methods: The clinical and imaging data of 101 patients with cerebrovascular disease in Tianjin Huanhu Hospital from May 2018 to August 2019 were retrospectively collected. Patients were divided into a training set (71 cases) and a validation set (30 cases). In training set, there were 53 cases of male,18 cases of female,with age of 55.0 (41.3, 64.5), and in validation set, there were 23 cases of male,7 cases of female,with age of57.5 (49.0, 65.0). Quantitative perfusion weighted imaging was used as the reference standard, and the original ASL-CBF images were reconstructed by training a deep learning generative adversarial network (GAN). The image quality of original ASL-CBF and GAN-CBF was compared by the structural similarity index and the normalized root mean square error. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlation between ASL-CBF, GAN-CBF and quantitative perfusion in different cerebral vascular blood supply areas and stroke areas, and to verify the improvement effect of GAN on the image quality and quantitative accuracy of ASL. Results: There were significant differences in gender, age, disease type, site and size between training set and validation set (all P>0.05). Compared with ASL-CBF, GAN-CBF had a higher structural similarity index (0.888 vs 0.801, P<0.001), and a lower normalized root mean square error (0.628 vs 0.775, P<0.001). The correlation between GAN-CBF and quantitative perfusion in different blood vessel supply areas and stroke lesion areas was improved compared with the original ASL-CBF, in which the perforating branch of the middle artery (r=0.853) and stroke lesion areas (r=0.765) were the most obvious (all P<0.001). Conclusion: The generative adversarial network could improve the image quality and quantization accuracy of ASL without increasing the scanning time, and expand the clinical application value of ASL.

Objective: To investigate the differential expression of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) in placental tissues of women with preeclampsia (PE) and the effect of MIR210HG on the biological function of HTR8/SVneo cells. Methods: A total of 39 cases of PE women (PE group) and 39 cases of normal pregnant women (CTL group) admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from July 2018 to July 2019 were collected. (1) Transcriptome sequencing (RNA-seq) was used to analyze the differentially expressed lncRNAs in the placental tissues of the two groups. (2) The expression level of MIR210HG, one of the differentially expressed lncRNAs, in the placental tissues of the two groups was detected by real-time quantitative PCR. And the correlations between the expression level of MIR210HG and systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and neonatal birth weight were analyzed. (3) The constructed small interfering RNA and negative control (NC) RNA were transfected into the HTR8/SVneo cells. The cells were divided into MIR210HG knockdown (KD) group and NC group. The effects of living cell counting (CCK-8) and transwell assay on the proliferation and migration of HTR8/SVneo cells were detected. (4) RNA interacting with MIR210HG was predicted using the Encyclopedia of RNA Interactomes (ENCORI) database. Gene Ontology (GO) functional annotation, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Gene and Genomes (KEGG) and BioCarta pathway enrichment analysis were performed. Results: (1) A total of 26 significantly differentially expressed lncRNAs were found by RNA-seq, among which 21 lncRNAs were up-regulated and 5 lncRNAs were down-regulated. (2) The relative expression level of MIR210HG in the PE group was significantly higher than that in the CTL group (9.30±1.90 and 1.10±0.20, respectively; t=4.425, P<0.01). The relative expression level of MIR210HG had positive linear correlation with systolic blood pressure (r2=0.234, P<0.05) and diastolic blood pressure (r2=0.190, P<0.05), but had a negative linear correlation with newborn birth weight (r2=0.157, P<0.05). (3) Compared with the NC group, the proliferation and migration ability of HTR8/SVneo cells in the KD group were increased (all P<0.05). (4) A total of 38 RNAs that might interact with MIR210HG were predicted by ENCORI database. GO functional annotation analysis showed that MIR210HG might be involved in the functions of 27 pathways, including the regulation of production of molecular mediator of immune response, etc; KEGG pathway analysis showed that MIR210HG might be involved in the function of 8 pathways including allograft rejection, etc; Biocarta pathway analysis showed that MIR210HG may be involved in the functions of 8 pathways, including the eukaryotic initiation factor (eIF) pathway, etc. Conclusion: The expression of MIR210HG is up-regulated in the placental tissue of PE women, and MIR210HG might be a regulator of the biological behavior of trophoblast cells.

Objective: To study the correlation between occupational radiation exposure and chronic metabolic diseases. Methods: The status of chronic metabolic diseases of medical workers were compared in 5 hospitals in Hangzhou. As representatives of chronic metabolic diseases, diabetes and metabolic syndrome (MS) were compared in association with duration of radiation exposure. Results: Long-term ionizing radiation (IR) exposure was led to increased blood pressure, fasting blood glucose (FBG) , dyslipidemia, gallbladder disease, and MS. The years of radiation exposure was associated with lens opacity, gallstone and MS in men and gallbladder polyps in women. Radiation working more than 10 years is one of the independent risk factors for increased FBG and MS. Moreover, the risk of FBG increase in the group of radiation working more than 10 years was 3.052 times of that the non-exposed group, and the risk of MS occurrence was 4.132 times that of the non-exposed group. Conclusion: Long-term exposure to IR increases the risk of chronic metabolic diseases.

Objective: To study the effect of long non-coding RNA LINC-PINT on proliferation and apoptosis of osteosarcoma cells. Methods: Real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to detect the expressions of LINC-PINT and miR-524-5p in normal osteoblast hFOB and human osteosarcoma cell lines HOS, MG63 and SAOS2 cells. The pcDNA plasmid, pcDNA-LINC-PINT plasmid, negative control siRNA (si-NC), si-LINC-PINT, negative control mimics (miR-NC), miR-524-5p mimics (miR-524-5p), pcDNA-LINC-PINT combined with miR-NC, pcDNA-LINC-PINT combined with miR-524-5p were transfected into HOS cells with liposome, respectively. The protein expressions of PCNA and cleaved-caspase-3 in the cells were detected by western blot. Cell proliferation ability was detected by 3-(4, 5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2, 5-diphenyl-2H tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. The apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry. The transcriptional activity was detected by double luciferase reporter assay. Results: Compared with normal osteoblast hFOB cell (1.00±0.08 vs 1.00±0.06), the expressions of LINC-PINT were down-regulated (0.18±0.01; 0.33±0.01; 0.42±0.01), while the expressions of miR-524-5p were up-regulated (2.65±0.23; 1.68±0.14; 1.51±0.13) in human osteosarcoma cell lines HOS, MG63 and SAOS2 cells, respectively. Overexpression of LINC-PINT significantly inhibited the proliferation (0.41±0.05 vs. 0.62±0.05 for 48 h; 0.57±0.05 vs. 1.06±0.09 for 72 h, both P<0.05) while promoted the apoptosis (25.28±2.15 vs. 9.01±0.17, P<0.01) of HOS cells. Knockdown of LINC-PINT or overexpression of miR-524-5p can significantly promote the proliferation and inhibit apoptosis of HOS cells. Moreover, miR-524-5p inhibited the fluorescence activity of wild-type LINC-PINT (0.31±0.03) in HOS cells when comparred with miR-NC (1.00±0.03) and was negatively regulated by LINC-PINT. Overexpression of miR-524-5p reversed the proliferation inhibition and apoptosis-promotion effects of LINC-PINT in HOS cells. Conclusions: Long non-coding RNA LINC-PINT can inhibit the proliferation and promote apoptosis of osteosarcoma cells through targeting miR-524-5p, which will provide a new target for the treatment of osteosarcoma.

Objective: To deliver macro understanding of the latest research progress on clinical trials and approved products of cancer drugs in China in 2019. Methods: The number of clinical trials and related investigational products by domestic and foreign enterprises in 2019 were acquired in the China Food and Drug Administration Registration and Information Disclosure Platform for Drug Clinical Studies, while listed drugs were obtained in the China Food and Drug Administration Query System for Domestic and Imported Drug. Characteristics on stage, scope, indication of those trials, classification and mechanism of involved products, as well as listed anticancer drugs were summarized and depicted. Results: There were 474 cancer drug trials registered in China in 2019, accounting for 21.8% of the total, and 397 (83.8%) were initiated by domestic pharmaceutical enterprises. Overall, international multicenter trials accounted for 13.1%, and phase I trials accounted for 47.3%. Compared with global enterprises, the proportion of international multi-center trials initiated by domestic companies is lower (4.8% vs. 55.8%, P<0.001), and the proportion of phase I clinical trials and bioequivalence trials is higher (51.9% vs. 23.4%, 19.4% vs. 1.3%, P<0.001). An accumulative of 27 cancer types were involved for all the cancer drug trials, and lung cancer, solid tumor, and breast cancer were the most common cancer types, with 103, 95 and 49 trials, respectively. For the three cancer types unique to Chinese population, gastric, liver and esophageal cancer, the total number of initiated trials was 47. For all those trials, there were 335 cancer drug varieties, with 86.0% developed by domestic pharmaceutical enterprises, including 300 therapeutic drugs, 30 adjunctive drugs and 5 preventive drugs. In terms of mechanism, targeted drugs and immune drugs were the most popular, accounting for 74.6% and 20.3%, respectively. In addition, 17 anticancer drugs targeting on 11 cancer types were approved in China in 2019. Conclusions: Clinical trials on cancer drugs in China have ushered a booming era, with large number of innovative agents represented by targeted drugs and immune drugs under clinical development or putting into clinical practice. Those local enterprises are playing more and more critical roles. Strengthening clinical research and development on Chinese unique cancer types is the key direction of future work.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect of bone defect regeneration and the periodontal status of the second molars after mandibular third molars extraction using ß-tertiary calcium phosphate (ß-TCP) in the test side compared with the spontaneously healed side. To the bone defect of mandibular second molars as a result of surgical removal of impacted mandibular third molars is a common phenomenon, many research shows that the mandibular second molars alveolar bone regeneration was about 1.5 mm and the periodontal pocket >7 mm was greater than 43.3% after mandibular third molars extraction. There has been significant progress researches in the repair of bone defect after the third molar removal, and bone graft filling was one of the effective methods. The bone graft substitutes include autogenous bone, allograft bone, xenograft bone and synthetic bone. METHODS: A split mouth, randomized clinical study was designed. Fifteen patients with mandibular third molars in the same jaw planned to be extracted were enrolled in the study. One of the sockets of each patient was randomly selected and filled with easy-graftTMCLASSIC (test group). The contralateral socket was left to heal spontaneously (control group). cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans were performed the day after the extraction and after 6 months. The horizontal dimensional changes of the sockets were recorded. The newly formed bone volume in the bone was analyzed by CBCT, and the probing depth (PD) was recorded. Student's t test was used to evaluate the difference between the two groups for each parameter, and the P value lower than 0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. RESULTS: Fifteen patients (30 sockets) completed the flow-up, and all the 30 sockets healed uneventfully. After 6 months' healing, the new bone volume fraction of the test group was 63.3%±2.2%, while the new bone volume fraction of the control group was 50.1%±1.9%. The vertical dimensional increment of the test group was (5.53±0.39) mm, while the vertical change of the control group was (1.53±0.27) mm. The distal buccal site PD of the second molar was (3.0±0.7) mm in the test group, and (6.5±0.8) mm in the control group. Statistically significant differences were detected between the two groups. CONCLUSION: The randomized controlled clinical trial showed that the application of ß-TCP for bone defect repair after the mandibular third molars extraction resulted in more vertical bone regeneration and less probing depth when compared with what was spontaneously healed.

OBJECTIVE: To prepare glycol-chitosan (GC)-based single/dual-network hydrogels with different composition ratios (GC31, DN3131 and DN6262) and to investigate the effects of hydrogel scaffolds on biological behavior of human dental pulp cell (hDPC) encapsulated. METHODS: GC-based single-network hydrogels (GC31) and GC-based dual-network hydrogels (DN3131, DN6262) with different composition ratios were prepared. The injectability was defined as the average time needed to expel a certain volume of hydrogel under a constant force. The degradation of the hydrogel was determined by the weight loss with time. The fracture stress was measured using a universal testing machine. The proliferation of hDPCs in hydrogels was detected using the cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) method and CalceinAM/PI Live/Dead assay. After 14 days of odontoblastic induction, the expression of alkaline phosphatase (ALP), dentin sialophosphoprotein (DSPP) and dentin matrix protein-1 (DMP-1) was detected by real-time quantitative reverse transcription PCR (real-time RT-PCR) and the mineralized nodules was observed by Von Kossa staining. RESULTS: The injectability of all three groups of hydrogels was acceptable. The time of injection of GC31 was the shortest, and that of DN6262 was longer than DN3131 (P<0.05). The degradation rate of GC31 hydrogel in vitro was significantly faster than that of the dual-network hydrogel groups (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between DN3131 and DN6262 (P>0.05). The compressive resistance failure point of GC31 group was 1.10 kPa, while it was 7.33 kPa and 43.30 kPa for DN3131 and DN6262. The compressive strength of dual-network hydrogel was significantly enhanced compared with single-network hydrogel. hDPCs were in continuous proliferation in all the three groups, and the GC31 group showed a higher proliferation rate (P<0.05). The expression levels of DSPP, DMP-1 and ALP in the dual-network hydrogel groups (DN3131, DN6262) were significantly higher than that of GC31 after culturing for 14 days (P<0.05), there was no difference in the expression levels of DMP-1 and ALP between DN3131 and DN6262 (P>0.05); Von Kossa staining showed that more mineralization deposition and mass-shaped mineralized nodules formed in DN3131 and DN6262, while only light brown calcium deposition staining was observed in GC31 group, which was scattered in granular forms. CONCLUSION: GC-based single/dual network hydrogels with different composition ratios met the injectable requirements. GC31 group had a lower mechanical properties, in which hDPCs exhibited a higher proliferation rate. dual-network hydrogels had slower degradation rate and higher mechanical properties, in which hDPCs exhibited better odontoblastic differentiation potential and mineralization potential.

OBJECTIVE: To detail a novel technique for marking renal tumors with intravenous indocyanine green (ICG) during laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, and to investigate the feasibility and safety of this technique with the use of near-infrared fluorescence imaging. METHODS: Between July 2019 and January 2020, 25 consecutive cases with renal masses underwent intraoperative ICG tumor marking laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, at the department of urology in Peking University Third Hospital by the same surgeon. The key benefits included quick intraoperative identification of the mass with improved visualization and real-time control of resection margins by the ICG Immunofluorescence imaging technique. Clinical data were prospectively collected in our institutional database. Perioperative, pathological, and clinical outcomes of the partial nephrectomy were assessed. Measurement data with normal distribution and count data were respectively described as M(range) and percentage. Among these cases, 16 cases were male and 9 cases female, The median body mass index was 25.4 (20.0-35.4) kg/m2. The average age was 54 (29-77) years. The maximum tumor diameter was 2.75(1.30-5.20) cm. The R.E.N.A.L score was 7.5 (5.0-10.0).The tumor locations were distributed with upper pole (11, 42%), middle (6, 23%), and lower pole (9, 35%).The clinical stages of the tumor were described as follows: T1aN0M0 (23, 88.5%), T1bN0M0(2, 7.7%), T2aN0M0 (1, 3.8%). RESULTS: All the 25 cases were performed 26 times with intraoperative ICG tumor marking laparoscopic partial nephrectomy. There were no allergy, infection and other complications with intravenous indocyanine green. The surgical procedure was successful in all the patients. No conversion and blood transfusion were needed. All the cases of the surgical margin were negative. Overall the operative time was 136 (50-247) min and warm ischemia time was 14 (7-30) min.The estimated blood loss was 50 (10-400) mL and the hospital stay was 5.5 (3.0-31.0) days. One case with perirenal hematoma, one case with urine leak, one with respiratory failure and deep venous thrombosis. All of these cases were cured by the corresponding treatment. The others had no severe complications. There was no tumor recurrence and metastasis during the follow up with 4 to 10 months. CONCLUSION: ICG marking and near-infrared fluorescence imaging technology has now emerged as a safe, feasible and useful tool that may facilitate laparoscopic partial nephrectomy.

Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of percutaneous endoscopic cervical discectomy (PECD) assisted by neurophysiology monitoring (NM) in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy (CSR). Methods: The clinical data of 55 patients with CSR treated in the Department of Spinal Surgery of Henan Provincial People's Hospital from April 2015 to May 2018 were analyzed retrospectively. Among them, 29 patients were treated with multi-mode NM-assisted PECD (NM group) and 26 patients with PECD alone (PECD group). The gender, age, operation time, bleeding volume, average hospital stay and complications between the two groups were recorded and compared. In addition, the visual analogue score (VAS) of neck and upper limb pain and the score of Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA) were compared between the two groups before operation, 1 month after the operation and at the last follow-up. These data between groups were compared by independent sample t test. Results: All patients in both groups were followed-up for at least 18 months. Neck VAS and upper limb VAS scores of two groups at 1 month post operation (neck: 2.1±1.2, 2.0±1.1; upper lamb: 2.4±1.2, 2.2±0.8) and the last follow-up (neck:0.8±0.5, 0.7±0.5; upper lamb: 0.8±0.7, 0.8±0.5) decreased significantly when compared with those before the operation (neck: 6.0±1.0, 5.9±1.0; upper lamb: 7.1±0.9, 7.4±0.9) (t=12.670-27.305, all P<0.05). However, there was no significant difference between the two groups (t=-1.107-0.917, all P>0.05). JOA scores of two groups at 1 month after the operation (12.7±0.8, 12.6±0.8), and at the last follow-up (14.6±0.7, 14.4±0.8) were all improved significantly from those before the operation (11.1±1.0, 10.9±0.8) (t=-11.074, -14.829, -9.603, -13.086, all P<0.05); however, there was no significant difference between the two groups (t=0.842, 0.003, both P>0.05). There was also no significant difference in bleeding volume, and operation time between the two groups, (t=-0.615, -0.922, P>0.05) but the average hospital stay and incidence of complications in the NM group were significantly lower than those in the PECD group (t=-2.815, χ(2)=4.755, both P<0.05). Conclusion: Multimode NM-assisted PECD in the treatment of CSR achieves satisfactory results, reducing the average hospital stay, reducing complications and improving surgical safety.

Objective: To compare the clinical and histopathological characteristics of cervical adenoid basal cell carcinoma and adenoid cystic carcinoma for improving the diagnosis accuracy and differential diagnosis of these tumors. Methods: A retrospective study was conducted on 9 cases of cervical adenoid basal cell carcinoma and 3 cases of adenoid cystic carcinoma which were diagnosed and consulted at the First Medical Center of PLA General Hospital from March 2009 to April 2019. Detailed clinical data were reviewed. All pathological sections and immunohistochemical results were reviewed and the clinicopathological characteristics were analyzed. Follow-up information by telephone was collected and relevant literature was consulted. Results: Both tumors were more commonly found in postmenopausal women (the age of onset ranged 43-74 years). Adenoid basal cell carcinoma was often clinical asymptomatic. Most of them presented as abnormal smears of the cervix during physical examination, and there was no definite mass in colposcopy.Adenoid cystic carcinoma was mostly presented with abnormal vaginal bleeding. A mass was seen in colposcopy.Histologically, the two tumors were characterized by nest-like growth of the tumors, consisting of basal-like tumor cells, and often surrounded by palisade structures. The two lesions might coexist, or be mixed with squamous cell carcinoma or high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions. The difference was that adenoid basal cell carcinoma was mostly located at the junction of cervical squamous epithelium and columnar epithelium and beneath the overlying epithelium, the tumor cells were arranged in nests, with squamous differentiation in the center of the nests, or in double-layer adenoid arrangement. The cell morphology was bland with occasional mitoses, and the stromal reaction was not obvious. And adenoid cystic carcinoma cells in the nest arranged like a sieve, the homogenous red-stained and blue-stained secretions were observed in the sieve holes, with obvious cell atypia, frequent mitoses, and obvious stromal reaction.In one case of adenoid cystic carcinoma, sarcomatoid area presented around the nests.Both of them were positive in clinical HPV test. Among the 9 cases of adenoid basal cell carcinoma, 3 were tested for HPV and 5 were tested for p16, and all showed positive expression. Among the 3 cases of adenoid cystic carcinoma, 2 were tested for HPV and 3 were tested for p16, both of which showed positive expression. Telephone follow-up was conducted by June 2019(follow-up time ranged 2-37 months). No recurrence or metastasis occurred in 7 of the 9 cases of adenoid basal cell carcinoma, while 1 case had a ground-glass nodule in lung and another had recurrence of vaginal stump 32 months after the surgery.One case of adenoid cystic carcinoma developed lung metastasis 8 months after surgery and died 2 years after surgery; another case was followed up for 6 months, which showed no recurrence or metastasis; the third case was lost to follow-up. Conclusions: Both adenoid cystic carcinoma and adenoid basal cell carcinoma of the cervix are the tumors originating from cervical reserve cells and are associated with high-risk HPV infection. Due to the differences in clinical treatment and prognosis, careful histological evaluation and immunohistochemical analysis should be carried out to make accurate pathological diagnosis.

Objective: To investigate the detection of suspected occupational diseases in the occupational health examination population in Hangzhou, and to establish a two-level logistic model of influencing factors. Methods: In October 2018, the information of physical examinees was collected through the 2015-2017 occupational health examination and reexamination database of Hangzhou Hospital for the Prevention and Treatment of Occupational Disease. MlwiN 2.02 software was used to establish a 2-level logistic model of suspected occupational diseases, with the occupational hazard factors as the level 2 unit and the employees as the level 1 unit. χ(2) test was used to compare the detection rates of suspected occupational diseases with different characteristics. The trend of detection rates of suspected occupational diseases with age and working age were tested by Cochran-Armitage trend test. Results: The morbidity rate of suspected occupational diseases in 2965 workers was 59.6% (1767/2965) , and the rates caused by different occupational hazardous factors were significantly difference (χ(2)=1615.27, P<0.01) , that caused by noises was the highest (98.0%, 1206/1231) , and the next was the dust (87.5%, 70/80) . The rate in male was 61.5% (1532/2492) , and that in female was 49.7% (235/473) , they were significantly difference (χ(2)=22.96, P<0.01) . The rates of suspected occupational diseases increased with the ages (Z=8.77, P<0.01) and working years (Z=3.62, P<0.01) . The multivariate analysis by 2-level logistic model indicated that gender, age and working year were all no significant, instead the level 2 unit random effect was significant (χ(2)=4.77, P<0.05) . Conclusion: Suspected occupational diseases will occur in clusters in occupational hazardous factors. The influence of occupational hazardous factors on suspected occupational diseases was more than that of personal characteristics.

The aim of the present study is to use the syndemic framework to investigate the risk of contracting HIV in the US population. Cross-sectional analyses are from The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. We extracted and aggregated data on HIV antibody test, socio-demographic characteristics, alcohol use, drug use, depression, sexual behaviours and sexually transmitted diseases from cycle 2009-2010 to 2015-2016. We carried out weighted regression among young adults (20-39 years) and adults (40-59 years) separately. In total, 5230 men and 5794 women aged 20-59 years were included in the present analyses. In total, 0.8% men and 0.2% women were tested HIV-positive. Each increasing HIV risk behaviour was associated with elevated odds of being tested HIV-positive (1.15, 95% CI 1.15-1.15) among young adults and adults (1.61, 95% CI 1.61-1.61). Multi-faceted, community-based interventions are urgently required to reduce the incidence of HIV in the USA.

This study investigated the effects of different amino acids on the fermentation of pure inulin and glucose using Paenibacillus polymyxa ZJ-9 in order to improve the production of R,R-2,3-butanediol (R,R-2,3-BD) respectively. The inulin extract from Jerusalem artichoke tubers contained 19 common amino acids, which were detected by HPLC. Arg featured the highest content (1290 mg l-1 ). A single add-back experiment of 20 common amino acids indicated that Asn, Ser, His and Arg are key amino acids in R,R-2,3-BD synthesis during inulin fermentation using P. polymyxa ZJ-9. The corresponding yields of R,R-2,3-BD reached 24·32, 22·32, 22·03 and 21·04 g l-1 after the four key amino acids (1·5 g l-1 each) and glucose were evaluated in this fermentation. The yields were considerably higher than that of the control group (12·11 g l-1 ). With the addition of the mixture of four amino acids (1·5 g l-1 each), the highest yields of R,R-2,3-BD (25·07 and 17·47 g l-1 ) were obtained with the increase of 107·0 and 89·1% during the fermentation of glucose and pure inulin respectively. SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF THE STUDY: Paenibacillus polymyxa is a micro-organism with a reported potential for industrialized production of R,R-2,3-butanediol. The nitrogen sources have a significant effect on R,R-2,3-butanediol formation using P. polymyxa. This study demonstrated a highly efficient new method to improve the yield of R,R-2,3-butanediol without adding other nitrogen sources except amino acids during the fermentation. This will therefore decrease the production cost of R,R-2,3-butanediol and provide a new strategy for promoting synthesis of amino acid-dependent products.
