[Psychological aspects of rehabilitating mental patients under hospital conditions]. / Nekotorye psikhologicheskie aspekty reabilitatsii psikhicheski bol'nykh v statsionarnykh usloviiakh.

The paper summarizes the conducted studies on the investigation of the significance of permorbid aims of mental patients (mainly schizophrenics), their valuable orientations for the process of rehabilitation. Special attention is paid to the results of the socio-psychological studies which are characterized by the interrelations in the system "doctor--nurse--patient" and the analysis of relationships in parent famalies of schizophrenic patients as well.

[Study of the process of rehabilitation of the mentally ill using the Rehabilitation Automated Information System (RAIS)]. / Issledovanie protsessa reabilitatsii psikhicheski bol'nykh s ispol'zovaniem reabilitologicheskoi avtomatizirovannoi informatsionnoi sistemy (RAIS).

The rehabilitation automated information system (RAIS) developed at the V. M. Bekhterev Institute is described. The data on the patients and the process of their treatment and rehabilitation are coded in a formalized case history (a rehabilitation form). The experience with RAIS which already has a bank of data including over 1200 rehabilitation forms is presented. The directions of research conducted with the help of RAIS are outlined.

[Goals and methodology of research on the rehabilitation of psychiatric patients as a comprehensive interdisciplinary project--content and system of data processing]. / Ziele und Methodik der Forschung zur Rehabilitation psychisch Kranker als ganzheitliches interdisziplinäres Vorhaben--Inhalte und Systematik der Datenverarbeitung.

The authors describe and discuss the problems of a current long term international comparative study on rehabilitation for the mentally ill. Above all methodology of computerized data sampling should not interfere with the complex holistic structure of the underlying theory of rehabilitation. Thus first theoretical assumptions are explained emphasizing a holistic approach. With critical reference to earlier efforts and studies elsewhere structure of data organization is described with direct reference to the documentary sheets for case documentation use. The documentation form developed enhances precision of task definition, interdisciplinary work, self control for the professional, and the establishing of new hypothesis.
