RESUMO

The authors present a statistical review of 101 patients treated on account of Crohn's disease in Hradec Králové from 1973 to 1987, i. e. 15 years. Based on experience with 119 operations made in these patients with a relatively low percentage of postoperative complications and a low rate of relapses, the authors recommend the surgical tactics and technique in the therapy of this serious disease, i. e. the preoperative preparation as well as the operation proper. Finally they recommend follow-up by specialists during the whole subsequent life of the patients.

RESUMO

A total of 115 patients with gastroduodenal ulcers submitted to surgery at the Department of Surgery in Hradec Králové between 1975 and 1979 had been reported on retrospectively. Authors emphasized the long term postgastrectomy results providing minimally 10-year-lasted intervals since. After a detailed clinical examination of patients, postgastrectomy results may be evaluated as good ones and comparable to a number of literary experiences. Therefore, they estimate this surgical modality of treatment to be justified and appropriate in respect with contemporary indicatory criteria as well as other therapeutic modalities known to exert influence on gastroduodenal ulcers.

RESUMO

On the basis of their own long time experience with the surgical treatment of the Crohn's disease the authors refer to the correct course and ways in surgical treatment, whose influence on the frequency of recurrences and thus on the destiny of patients are evaluated. They especially stress the effort to prolong the symptom-free interval between the remissions of this grave general disease.

RESUMO

Initial experience and results in treating burns are reported as obtained by plastic surgery service of Regional National Health Center. Starting from 1. 9. 1985 to 31. 12. 1987 a total of 48 burned cases was managed, from them 6 (12.5%) died. Authors proceeded by early necrectomy in indicated cases. As transitory skin coverings, the living xenografts appeared to be the most successful. The role of skin banking is emphasized in treating burns. The mentioned service provides a systematic complexive and continual care of cases with burns.
