RESUMO

The state of nuclear DNA, revealed by the microfluorometric method, changed unequally in conditions of dissimilar afferentation in different classes of the neurones in the neocortex and the hippocampal dentate fascia. It may be assumed that the examined classes of cells (large pyramids and stellate neurones of the sensorimotor zone of the cerebral cortex and the granular cells of the dentate fascia of the hippocampus) possess a different structural functional organization of genome. This probably accounts for the peculiarities of their functioning.

RESUMO

In acute experiments on adult anesthetized cats, the reaction of identified cerebellar Purkinje cells to local exposure to the decimetric micro-waves (80, 400, 1200 mWt/cm2) involved a change of the firing rate, shortening of the inhibitory pause of the Purkinje cells, increasing in the frequency first of simple and then of complex spikes and, finally, appearance of bursts of impulse activity of the Purkinje cells.

RESUMO

The effect of pulsing magnetic field on the rabbit neuromuscular system was compared with the effect of direct electrical stimulation. The electrophysiological data demonstrated slight difference between myograms after magneto- and electrostimulation. Magnetostimulation was shown to have an advantage in the myogram estimation and contactless action.

RESUMO

The cut sciatic nerve trunk was sutured perineurally to study in chronic rabbit experiments of the neuromuscular functional recovery upon the exposure to impulse magnetic field with the intensity 1.2 T. Nonexposed animals served control. Myographic activity of reinnervated crural muscles in the irradiated animals recovered two times more rapidly compared to the controls, so did motor function of the limb operated on. It is inferred that impulse magnetic field produces therapeutic and preventive effect on neurodystrophy resultant from the nerve dissection.

RESUMO

The skin of 32 rabbits and 10 patients (7 males and 3 females aged 32-48) was exposed to impulse magnetic field (IMF) with intensity of 1.0-1.5 T and frequency of 45 paired impulses a minute. The 5-minute exposure resulted in a 50% decrease in the skin electrical resistance both in patients and animals. On aftertreatment minute 2 the resistance started recovering and returned to the baseline on minute 6 in animals and 4 in patients. Changes in electrical resistance of the skin are attributed to emergence of IMF-related electrical induction.

RESUMO

In rabbit experiments after cross-cutting the sciatic nerve with its subsequent perineural suture, the authors studied whether the structure of injured nerve fibers could be recovered on exposure to an impulse magnetic field (IMF) of high intensity (1.2 T). On exposure to IMF, the processes of nerve fiber myelinization were found to proceed much more rapidly in the rabbits operated on and the area of a connective tissue scar showed a more direct growth of nerve fibers of the center to the periphery. Light optic microscopy indicated that IMF of the intensity used produced no damaging effects on nerve tissue.
