BACKGROUND: Dysregulation of immune surveillance is tightly linked to the development of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH)-driven hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC); however, its underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Herein, we aimed to determine the role of interleukin-21 receptor (IL-21R) in MASH-driven HCC. METHODS: The clinical significance of IL-21R was assessed in human HCC specimens using immunohistochemistry staining. Furthermore, the expression of IL-21R in mice was assessed in the STAM model. Thereafter, two different MASH-driven HCC mouse models were applied between IL-21R-deficient mice and wild type controls to explore the role of IL-21R in MASH-driven HCC. To further elucidate the potential mechanisms by which IL-21R affected MASH-driven HCC, whole transcriptome sequencing, flow cytometry and adoptive lymphocyte transfer were performed. Finally, flow cytometry, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, immunofluorescent staining, chromatin immunoprecipitation assay and western blotting were conducted to explore the mechanism by which IL-21R induced IgA+ B cells. RESULTS: HCC patients with high IL-21R expression exhibited poor relapse-free survival, advanced TNM stage and severe steatosis. Additionally, IL-21R was demonstrated to be upregulated in mouse liver tumors. Particularly, ablation of IL-21R impeded MASH-driven hepatocarcinogenesis with dramatically reduction of lipid accumulation. Moreover, cytotoxic CD8+ T lymphocyte activation was enhanced in the absence of IL-21R due to the reduction of immunosuppressive IgA+ B cells. Mechanistically, the IL-21R-STAT1-c-Jun/c-Fos regulatory axis was activated in MASH-driven HCC and thus promoted the transcription of Igha, resulting in the induction of IgA+ B cells. CONCLUSIONS: IL-21R plays a cancer-promoting role by inducing IgA+ B cells in MASH-driven hepatocarcinogenesis. Targeting IL-21R signaling represents a potential therapeutic strategy for cancer therapy.

Light and brassinosteroids (BR) are indispensable for plant growth and control cell division in the apical meristem. However, how external light signals cooperate with internal brassinosteroids to program root meristem development remains elusive. We reveal that the photoreceptor phytochrome B (phyB) guides the scaffold protein RACK1 to coordinate BR signaling for maintaining root meristematic activity. phyB and RACK1 promote early root meristem development. Mechanistically, RACK1 could reinforce the phyB-SPA1 association by interacting with both phyB and SPA1, which indirectly affects COP1-dependent RACK1 degradation, resulting in the accumulation of RACK1 in roots. Subsequently, RACK1 interacts with BES1 to repress its DNA-binding activity toward the target gene CYCD3;1, leading to the release of BES1-mediated inhibition of CYCD3;1 transcription, and hence the promotion of root meristem development. Our study provides mechanistic insights into the regulation of root meristem development by combination of light and phytohormones signals through the photoreceptors and scaffold proteins.

Miniature acoustic sensors with high sensitivity are highly desired for applications in medical photoacoustic imaging, acoustic communications and industrial nondestructive testing. However, conventional acoustic sensors based on piezoelectric, piezoresistive and capacitive detectors usually require a large element size on a millimeter to centimeter scale to achieve a high sensitivity, greatly limiting their spatial resolution and the application in space-confined sensing scenarios. Herein, by using single-crystal two-dimensional gold flakes (2DGFs) as the sensing diaphragm of an extrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometer on a fiber tip, we demonstrate a miniature optical acoustic sensor with high sensitivity. Benefiting from the ultrathin thickness (∼8 nm) and high reflectivity of the 2DGF, the fiber-tip acoustic sensor gives an acoustic pressure sensitivity of ∼300 mV/Pa in the frequency range from 100 Hz to 20 kHz. The noise-equivalent pressure of the fiber-tip acoustic sensor at the frequency of 13 kHz is as low as 62.8 µPa/Hz1/2, which is one or two orders of magnitude lower than that of reported optical acoustic sensors with the same size.

ABSCISIC ACID INSENSITIVE5 (ABI5), a key regulator of the abscisic acid (ABA) signalling pathway, plays a fundamental role in seed germination and post-germinative development. However, the molecular mechanism underlying the repression function of ABI5 remains to be elucidated. In this study, we demonstrate that the conserved eukaryotic WD40 repeat protein Receptor for Activated C Kinase 1 (RACK1) is a novel negative regulator of ABI5 in Arabidopsis. The RACK1 loss-of-function mutant is hypersensitive to ABA, while this phenotype is rescued by a mutation in ABI5. Moreover, overexpression of RACK1 suppresses ABI5 transcriptional activation activity for ABI5-targeted genes. RACK1 may also physically interact with ABI5 and facilitate its degradation. Furthermore, we found that RACK1 and the two substrate receptors CUL4-based E3 ligases (DWA1 and DWA2) function together to mediate the turnover of ABI5, thereby efficiently reducing ABA signalling in seed germination and post-germinative growth. In addition, molecular analyses demonstrated that ABI5 may bind to the promoter of RACK1 to repress its expression. Collectively, our findings suggest that RACK1 and ABI5 might form a feedback loop to regulate the homeostasis of ABA signalling in acute seed germination and early plant development.

A high-peak-power, widely tunable range long-wave infrared optical parametric oscillator (OPO) based on the BaGa4Se7 (BGSe) crystal is demonstrated in this Letter. Pumped by a 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser, a high-peak-power of 0.15 MW was achieved at 9.8 µm with a pulse width of 5.0 ns. At 11.0 µm, a high beam quality of M2x = 4.1 and M2y = 3.3 was achieved. By rotating the BGSe crystal, a broad tuning range of 6.7-13.9 µm was realized. Furthermore, a theoretical analysis was conducted to elucidate the reasons behind the improvement in beam quality in the x-direction as the wavelength of the idler wave increases.

BACKGROUND: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is associated with increased, and early cardiovascular disease risk. Changes in hemodynamics within the left ventricle (LV) respond to cardiac remodeling. The LV hemodynamics in nondialysis CKD patients are not clearly understood. PURPOSE: To use four-dimensional blood flow MRI (4D flow MRI) to explore changes in LV kinetic energy (KE) and the relationship between LV KE and LV remodeling in CKD patients. STUDY TYPE: Retrospective. POPULATION: 98 predialysis CKD patients (Stage 3: n = 21, stage 4: n = 21, and stage 5: n = 56) and 16 age- and sex-matched healthy controls. FIELD STRENGTH/SEQUENCE: 3.0 T/balanced steady-state free precession (SSFP) cine sequence, 4D flow MRI with a fast field echo sequence, T1 mapping with a modified Look-Locker SSFP sequence, and T2 mapping with a gradient recalled and spin echo sequence. ASSESSMENT: Demographic characteristics (age, sex, height, weight, blood pressure, heart rate, aortic regurgitation, and mitral regurgitation) and laboratory data (eGFR, Creatinine, hemoglobin, ferritin, transferrin saturation, potassium, and carbon dioxide bonding capacity) were extracted from patient records. Myocardial T1, T2, LV ejection fraction, end diastolic volume (EDV), end systolic volume, LV flow components (direct flow, delayed ejection, retained inflow, and residual volume) and KE parameters (peak systolic, systolic, diastolic, peak E-wave, peak A-wave, E/A ratio, and global) were assessed. The KE parameters were normalized to EDV (KEiEDV). Parameters were compared between disease stage in CKD patients, and between CKD patients and healthy controls. STATISTICAL TESTS: Differences in clinical and imaging parameters between groups were compared using one-way ANOVA, Kruskal Walls and Mann-Whitney U tests, chi-square test, and Fisher's exact test. Pearson or Spearman's correlation coefficients and multiple linear regression analysis were used to compare the correlation between LV KE and other clinical and functional parameters. A P-value of <0.05 was considered significant. RESULTS: Compared with healthy controls, peak systolic (24.76 ± 5.40 µJ/mL vs. 31.86 ± 13.18 µJ/mL), systolic (11.62 ± 2.29 µJ/mL vs. 15.27 ± 5.10 µJ/mL), diastolic (7.95 ± 1.92 µJ/mL vs. 13.33 ± 5.15 µJ/mL), peak A-wave (15.95 ± 4.86 µJ/mL vs. 31.98 ± 14.51 µJ/mL), and global KEiEDV (9.40 ± 1.64 µJ/mL vs. 14.02 ± 4.14 µJ/mL) were significantly increased and the KEiEDV E/A ratio (1.16 ± 0.67 vs. 0.69 ± 0.53) was significantly decreased in CKD patients. As the CKD stage progressed, both diastolic KEiEDV (10.45 ± 4.30 µJ/mL vs. 12.28 ± 4.85 µJ/mL vs. 14.80 ± 5.06 µJ/mL) and peak E-wave KEiEDV (15.30 ± 7.06 µJ/mL vs. 14.69 ± 8.20 µJ/mL vs. 19.33 ± 8.29 µJ/mL) increased significantly. In multiple regression analysis, global KEiEDV (ß* = 0.505; ß* = 0.328), and proportion of direct flow (ß* = -0.376; ß* = -0.410) demonstrated an independent association with T1 and T2 times. DATA CONCLUSION: 4D flow MRI-derived LV KE parameters show altered LV adaptations in CKD patients and correlate independently with T1 and T2 mapping that may represent myocardial fibrosis and edema. TECHNICAL EFFICACY: Stage 3.

Gold-based nanostructures with well-defined morphologies and hollow interiors have significant potential as a versatile platform for various plasmonic applications including biomedical diagnostics and sensing. In this study, we report the synthesis of Au@Ag core-shell nanocrystals with perfect octahedral shapes and tunable edge lengths via seeded growth. These nanocrystals were then oxidatively carved into yolk-shell nanocages with a retained octahedral morphology. The increase in octahedral edge length and volume of the interior hollow cavity synergistically leads to a red-shift of the LSPR peak. As a result, the optimized Au@AuAg yolk-shell octahedral nanocages showed a remarkable temperature increase of 23 °C upon 15 min irradiation of an 808 nm laser at a power density of 1 W cm-2. This study provides a feasible strategy for creating octahedral AuAg nanostructures with tunable sizes and hollow interiors and validates their promising use in NIR photothermal conversion.

A Pickering emulsion is a natural microreactor for interfacial catalysis in which an emulsifier is critical. Recently, a metal-organic framework (MOF) has attracted attention to emulsify water-organic mixtures for constructing a Pickering emulsion. However, a few stimuli-responsive Pickering emulsions based on MOFs have been reported, and the MOF emulsifiers cannot be regenerated at room temperature. Herein, the Zr-MOF with a rodlike morphology is synthesized using ionic liquid as a modulator and then modified with n-(trimethoxysilylpropyl)imidazole (C3im) to prepare a series of functionalized Zr-MOFs (MOF-C3im). It is found that MOF-C3im is an excellent emulsifier to construct stable and CO2-responsive Pickering emulsions even at low content (>0.20 wt %). Notably, the emulsification and demulsification of the emulsions can be easily and reversibly switched by bubbling of CO2 and N2 alternatively at room temperature because CO2 and imidazole molecules anchored on the Zr-MOF underwent a reversible acid-base reaction, resulting in an obvious change in the wettability of the emulsifier. As a proof of concept, the reduction reactions of nitrobenzene have been successfully carried out in these Pickering emulsions, demonstrating the efficient integration as a microreactor for chemical reaction, product separation, and emulsifier recycling under ambient conditions. This strategy provides an innovative option to develop stimulus-responsive Pickering emulsions for sustainable chemical processes.

The natural aging process is accompanied by changes in exosomes, gut microbiota, and metabolites. This study aimed to reveal the anti-aging effect and mechanisms of fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) from young donors on the natural aging process in mice by analyzing exosomes, gut microbiota, and metabolomics. Aging-relevant telomeric length, oxidative stress indexes in brain tissue, and serum cytokine levels were measured. Flow analysis of T-regulatory (Treg), CD4+, and CD8+ cells was performed, and the expression levels of aging-related proteins were quantified. High-throughput sequencing technology was used to identify differentially expressed serum exosomal miRNAs. Fecal microbiota was tested by 16 S rDNA sequencing. Changes in fecal metabolites were analyzed by UPLC-Q-TOF/MS. The results indicated that the expression of mmu-miR-7010-5p, mmu-miR-376b-5p, mmu-miR-135a-5p, and mmu-miR-3100-5p by serum exosomes was down-regulated and the abundance of opportunistic bacteria (Turicibacter, Allobaculum, Morganella.) was decreased, whereas the levels of protective bacteria (Akkermansia, Muribaculaceae, Helicobacter.) were increased after FMT. Metabolic analysis identified 25 potential biomarkers. Correlation analysis between the gut microbiota and metabolites suggested that the relative abundance of protective bacteria was positively correlated with the levels of spermidine and S-adenosylmethionine. The study indicated that FMT corrected brain injury due to aging via lipid metabolism, the metabolism of cofactors and vitamins, and amino acid metabolism.

A LiBr-promoted formal C(sp3)-H bond insertion reaction between ß-carbonyl esters and sulfoxonium ylides is established. This practical reaction has a wide range of substrate scope for both ß-carbonyl esters and sulfoxonium ylides to give a variety of 1,4-dicarbonyl compounds with 43-94% yields. The reaction features transition-metal-free reaction conditions and exclusive C-alkylation chemselectivity. The use of bench-stable sulfoxonium ylides overcomes previous methods that require transition metal as catalysts and unstable diazo compounds or toxic haloketones as alkylation reagents.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the effects of pretreatment peripheral blood panimmune-inflammation value (PIV), systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) on the efficacy and prognostic value of immunotherapy in patients with inoperable advanced or locally advanced oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). METHODS: Clinical data of 107 inoperable advanced or locally advanced ESCC patients were retrospectively analysed between May 2019 and August 2023, the receiver operating characteristic curves (ROCs) of PIV, SII, NLR, and PLR in patients prior to immunotherapy were plotted, and their optimal cutoff values were determined. The risk factors were determined by univariate and multivariate analyses in groups based on the optimal cut-off values. RESULTS: Peripheral blood PIV, SII and PLR before immunotherapy had predictive value for the optimal efficacy of immunotherapy in patients with inoperable advanced or locally advanced ESCC; patients with PIV ≥415.885, SII ≥834.295 and NLR ≥3.740 had a low objective response rate (ORR), disease control rate (DCR), a short progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) after immunotherapy (p < 0.05). Patient tumour stage, distant lymph node metastasis, lung metastasis, liver metastasis, PIV, SII, and NLR were risk factors affecting PFS and OS (p < 0.05). Tumour stage and SII were independent risk factors affecting PFS and OS (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION: In patients with inoperable advanced or locally advanced ESCC, peripheral blood PIV, SII, and NLR have predictive value for immunotherapy outcome, SII is an independent risk factor affecting the survival prognosis, and SII ≥834.295 suggests a poor prognosis from immunotherapy.

2. This research investigates the impact of the EGCG-CSH/n-HA/CMC composite material on bone defect repair, emphasizing its influence on macrophage polarization and osteogenic differentiation of BMSCs. Comprehensive evaluations of the composite's physical and chemical characteristics were performed. BMSC response to the material was tested in vitro for proliferation, migration, and osteogenic potential. An SD rat model was employed for in vivo assessments of bone repair efficacy. Both transcriptional and proteomic analyses were utilized to delineate the mechanisms influencing macrophage behavior and stem cell differentiation. The material maintained excellent structural integrity and significantly promoted BMSC functions critical to bone healing. In vivo results confirmed accelerated bone repair, and molecular analysis highlighted the role of macrophage M2 polarization, particularly through changes in the SIRPA gene and protein expression. EGCG-CSH/n-HA/CMC plays a significant role in enhancing bone repair, with implications for macrophage and BMSC function. Our findings suggest that targeting SIRPA may offer new therapeutic opportunities for bone regeneration.

The pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) has had a profound impact on the global health and economy. While mass vaccination for herd immunity is effective, emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants can evade spike protein-based COVID-19 vaccines. In this study, we develop a new immunization strategy by utilizing a nanocarrier, dendritic mesoporous silica nanoparticle (DMSN), to deliver the receptor-binding domain (RBD) and conserved T-cell epitope peptides (DMSN-P-R), aiming to activate both humoral and cellular immune responses in the host. The synthesized DMSN had good uniformity and dispersion and showed a strong ability to load the RBD and peptide antigens, enhancing their uptake by antigen-presenting cells (APCs) and promoting antigen delivery to lymph nodes. The DMSN-P-R vaccine elicited potent humoral immunity, characterized by highly specific RBD antibodies. Neutralization tests demonstrated significant antibody-mediated neutralizing activity against live SARS-CoV-2. Crucially, the DMSN-P-R vaccine also induced robust T-cell responses that were specifically stimulated by the RBD and conserved T-cell epitope peptides of SARS-CoV-2. The DMSN demonstrated excellent biocompatibility and biosafety in vitro and in vivo, along with degradability. Our study introduces a promising vaccine strategy that utilizes nanocarriers to deliver a range of antigens, effectively enhancing both humoral and cellular immune responses to prevent virus transmission.

BACKGROUND: Bilateral retinal detachment and choroidal detachment in a patient are rare occurrences. The presence of bilateral diabetic retinopathy (DR) in such a case is even rarer and complicates the condition. CASE PRESENTATION: In this study, we document a case of unconventional VKH. Manifestations in this patient included intense peripheral retinal detachment and choroidal detachment, along with vitreous opacities akin to cotton wool spots, concurrent with DR. The diagnosis was considered as probable VKH with DR. Treatment according to VKH protocols, including high-dose corticosteroids, yielded positive results. CONCLUSIONS: VKH can co-occurrence with DR. VKH manifestations vary, and early, aggressive, and long-term treatment is essential. The complexity of treatment increases with concurrent DR, necessitating the use of immunosuppressants.

Eleven new brominated depsidones, namely spiromastixones U-Z5 (1-11) along with five known analogues (12-16), were isolated from a deep-sea-derived fungus Spiromastix sp. through the addition of sodium bromide during fermentation. Their structures were elucidated by extensive analysis of the spectroscopic data including high-resolution MS and 1D and 2D NMR data. Compounds 6-10 and 16 exhibited significant inhibition against Gram-positive bacteria including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium (VRE) with MIC values ranging from 0.5 to 2.0 µM. Particularly, tribrominated 7 displayed the strongest activity against MRSA and VRE with a MIC of 0.5 and 1.0 µM, respectively, suggesting its potential for further development as a new antibacterial agent.

BACKGROUND: Corpus callosum glioblastoma (ccGBM) is a specific type of GBM and has worse outcomes than other non-ccGBMs. We sought to identify whether en-bloc resection of ccGBMs based on T2-FLAIR imaging contributes to clinical outcomes and can achieve a satisfactory balance between maximal resection and preservation of neurological function. METHODS: A total of 106 adult ccGBM patients (including astrocytoma, WHO grade 4, IDH mutation, and glioblastoma) were obtained from the Department of Neurosurgery in Nanfang Hospital between January 2008 and December 2018. The clinical data, including gender, age, symptoms, location of tumor, involvement of eloquent areas, extent of resection (EOR), pre- and postoperative Karnofsky Performance Status (KPS) scales, and National Institute of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) scores were collected. Propensity score matching (PSM) analysis was applied to control the confounders for analyzing the relationship between the en-bloc technique and EOR, and the change in the postoperative KPS scales and NIHSS scores. RESULTS: Applying the en-bloc technique did not negatively affect the postoperative KPS scales compared to no-en-bloc resection (P = 0.851 for PSM analysis) but had a positive effect on preserving or improving the postoperative NIHSS scores (P = 0.004 for PSM analysis). A positive correlation between EOR and the en-bloc technique was identified (r = 0.483, P < 0.001; r = 0.720, P < 0.001 for PSM analysis), indicating that applying the en-bloc technique could contribute to enlarged maximal resection. Further survival analysis confirmed that applying the en-bloc technique and achieving supramaximal resection could significantly prolong OS and PFS, and multivariate analysis suggested that tumor location, pathology, EOR and the en-bloc technique could be regarded as independent prognostic indicators for OS in patients with ccGBMs, and pathology, EOR and the en-bloc technique were independently correlated with patient's PFS. Interestingly, the en-bloc technique also provided a marked reduction in the risk of tumor recurrence compared with the no-en-bloc technique in tumors undergoing TR, indicating that the essential role of the en-bloc technique in ccGBM surgery (HR: 0.712; 95% CI: 0.535-0.947; P = 0.02). CONCLUSIONS: The en-bloc technique could contribute to achieving an enlarged maximal resection and could significantly prolong overall survival and progression-free survival in patients with ccGBMs.

INTRODUCTION: Magnoliae officinalis cortex (MOC) is an important traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and both raw and stir-fried MOC were commonly used in clinic. OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to discriminate MOC and MOC stir-fried with ginger juice (MOCG) using an integrated approach combining liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS), gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS), intelligent sensors, and chemometrics. METHODS: The sensory characters of the samples were digitalized using intelligent sensors, i.e., colorimeter, electronic nose, and electronic tongue. Meanwhile, the chemical profiles of the samples were analyzed using LC/MS and GC/MS methods. Chemometric models were constructed to discriminate samples of MOC and MOCG based on not only the sensory data but also the chemical data. RESULTS: The differential sensory characters (L* and b* from colorimeter, ANS from electronic tongue, W1S and W2S from electronic nose) and the differential chemical compounds (26 and 11 compounds from LC/MS and GC/MS, respectively) were discovered between MOC and MOCG. Furthermore, twelve differential compounds showed good relations with differential sensory characters. Finally, artificial neural network models were established to discriminate samples of MOC and MOCG, in which W1S, W2S, ANS, b*, and 10 differential compounds were among the top 10 important variables, respectively. CONCLUSION: Samples of MOC and MOCG can be discriminated not only by the digitalized data of color, taste, and scent detected by intelligent sensors but also by chemical information obtained from LC/MS and GC/MS using chemometrics. The variations in sensory characters and chemical compounds between MOC and MOCG partially resulted from the Maillard reaction products and the oxidation of some compounds in the stir-frying process.

Visible near-infrared spectroscopy (VNIR) is extensively researched for obtaining soil property information due to its rapid, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly advantages. Despite its widespread application and significant achievements in soil property analysis, current soil prediction models continue to suffer from low accuracy. To address this issue, we propose a convolutional neural network model that can achieve high-precision soil property prediction by creating 2D multi-channel inputs and applying a multi-scale spatial attention mechanism. Initially, we explored two-dimensional multi-channel inputs for seven soil properties in the public LUCAS spectral dataset using the Gramian Angular Field (GAF) method and various preprocessing techniques. Subsequently, we developed a convolutional neural network model with a multi-scale spatial attention mechanism to improve the network's extraction of relevant spatial contextual information. Our proposed model showed superior performance in a statistical comparison with current state-of-the-art techniques. The RMSE (R²) values for various soil properties were as follows: organic carbon content (OC) of 19.083 (0.955), calcium carbonate content (CaCO3) of 24.901 (0.961), nitrogen content (N) of 0.969 (0.933), cation exchange capacity (CEC) of 6.52 (0.803), pH in H2O of 0.366 (0.927), clay content of 4.845 (0.86), and sand content of 12.069 (0.789). Our proposed model can effectively extract features from visible near-infrared spectroscopy data, contributing to the precise detection of soil properties.

PURPOSE: To assess the predictive value of an ultrasound-based radiomics-clinical nomogram for grading residual cancer burden (RCB) in breast cancer patients. METHODS: This retrospective study of breast cancer patients who underwent neoadjuvant therapy (NAC) and ultrasound scanning between November 2020 and July 2023. First, a radiomics model was established based on ultrasound images. Subsequently, multivariate LR (logistic regression) analysis incorporating both radiomic scores and clinical factors was performed to construct a nomogram. Finally, Receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curve analysis and decision curve analysis (DCA) were employed to evaluate and validate the diagnostic accuracy and effectiveness of the nomogram. RESULTS: A total of 1122 patients were included in this study. Among them, 427 patients exhibited a favorable response to NAC chemotherapy, while 695 patients demonstrated a poor response to NAC therapy. The radiomics model achieved an AUC value of 0.84 in the training cohort and 0.83 in the validation cohort. The ultrasound-based radiomics-clinical nomogram achieved an AUC value of 0.90 in the training cohort and 0.91 in the validation cohort. CONCLUSIONS: Ultrasound-based radiomics-clinical nomogram can accurately predict the effectiveness of NAC therapy by predicting RCB grading in breast cancer patients.
