RESUMO
The small unit warfare fought in Thailand is significantly different from previous conflicts. The heavy use of antipersonnel land mines by insurgent forces has affected both the tactical and the medical responses of government forces. Lower-extremity injuries have come to dominate the military medical care system and tactics have been designed to prevent or minimize the unit and individual disability inherent in this type warfare.
