RESUMO
Addition of water-soluble polysaccharides isolated from Conium maculatum L. to the mouse peritoneal macrophage culture induces classical activation of antigen-presenting cells due to an increase in NO synthase activity and a decrease in arginase expression.

The work is devoted to objectivization of the diagnostics and control of treatment of paresis of the gastrointestinal tract in diffuse peritonitis. The method of selective electrogastroenterocolonography after digitization of the data makes it possible to characterize the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract in figures which can be compared with quantitative characteristics of endogenous intoxication. So the direct relation between the degree of the gastrointestinal tract paresis and endogenous intoxication was proved. The method of selective electrogastroenterocolonography allowed an objective control of the treatment using sorption technologies, low amplitude electrostimulation and parenteral feeding with Dipeptiven. Its success was proved by a less number of complications (from 45% to 27%) and less lethality (from 21.2% to 16.6%).

Two leading moments in endotoxicosis of acute pancreatitis pancreatogenic and enterocologenic should be emphasized. A new noninvasive method is proposed for objective determination of the degree of enteroparesis in patients with acute pancreatitis. A conversion of the gastroenterocolonogram curves into digital parameters gave quantitative data which help to reveal the form of acute pancreatitis. the degree of endogenous intoxication and shows the course of the treatment.

By electron microscopy, the islets of Langerhans of 5 patients with cancer of the pancreas were studied. The most obvious ultrastructural changes were found in the insulin-producing B-cells. Their cytoplasm contained a reduced number of secretory granules. Many B-cells were seen at different stages of the secretory cycle, part of them being destructed. On studying secretory process, the formation and maturation of B-granules was demonstrated in the cistern of ergastoplasm without the Golgi complex being involved. The data obtained suggest the functional tensity of the insular tissue at the neoplastic process in the exocrine part of the pancreas.

A spectral analysis of the sinus rhythm (5-minute groups of cardiointervals) was made in 32 patients during anesthesia by the method of a fast Fourier transform with the estimation of the spectral density in 3 conventional ranges (HF, LF, VLF). Its indices were shown to depend on the stages of anesthesiological maintenance and operative intervention.

The state of processes of lipid peroxidation and antioxidant defense was studied in patients with severe isolated craniocerebral closed injury. It was found that starting from the first days in the hospital the patients demonstrated marked alterations in the thiol-disulfide and ascorbate metabolism, activation of lipid peroxidation processes and lower antioxidant defense. The use of Solcoseryl as a component of the antioxidant therapy in treatment of the above mentioned category of patients resulted in considerably better indices of the thiol-disulfide metabolism. The isolated use of Solcoseryl failed to influence the ascorbate metabolism and lipid peroxidation. Solcoseryl used in combination with the ascorbic acid led to normalization of the thiol-disulfide and ascorbade metabolism without influencing the lipid peroxidation processes. Combined use of Solcoseryl and ascorbic acid promoted normalization of the neurological status and stabilization of the arterial pressure level.

Fluctuations of the thiol disulfide system were shown to be interrelated with changes in the ECG indices. Trimetazidine since it has antioxidant properties was found to be effective in patients with low thiol disulfide ratios. A single dose of 0.8 mg/kg of the body mass was shown to inhibit the appearance of stress-dependent ischemic symptoms during surgical procedures.

Studies on the liver state from the functional-morphological point of view in patients with acute and chronic secondary cholangitis have revealed in all cases the involvement of hepatic parenchyma with the development of cholangiohepatitis. In its acute course and timely performed operative interventions the process in the liver tends to subside. The authors consider that due to the absence of pure forms of cholangitis this term seems to be questionable, and they recommend to substitute it in all cases by the term cholangiohepatitis.

An analysis of application of medical lignin (polyfepan) in treatment of purulent wounds of different etiology in 60 patients is presented. Good clinical effects of polyfepan in treatment of purulent wounds allow putting secondary sutures or approximating the wound margins at earlier terms. It gives no complications, is well endurable by the patients and easy in use. All these qualities allow polyfepan to be recommended for the local treatment of purulent wounds as a sorbent.

The authors have developed a method for influencing the altered peritoneum in the area of the inflammation focus by insufflation of medical aerosol at the postoperative period for quicker reestablishment of integrity and physiological function of its mesothelium and fibrinolytic activity which allows the probability of forming commissures in patients after appendectomy to be reduced. Long-term follow-up (up to 3 years) of 61 patients operated upon by the proposed method showed that in 59 of then the results were excellent and good.

The disinfecting effect to the new preparation--desoxon-5 when decontaminating plastics, used in stomatology, plastic removable [correction of demountable] dentures and orthodontic, apparatus, infected by test microbes has been studied. One of the results of the work is the determination of desoxon-5 concentrations, causing the death of test microbes on the surface of plastic objects. It is proposed to include the use of desoxon-5 as an active decontaminating preparation into the number of means on looking after removable [correction of demountable] plastic dentures.
