RESUMO

The diagnosis and treatment of benign non-epithelial tumors of the large intestine are discussed. The cases are rare and present certain diagnostic difficulties. It is possible to establish the diagnosis of the tumors by x-ray examination with double contrasting of the large intestine and by transrectal needle biopsy of the neoplasms. The diagnosis may be improved by applying fiberoptic colonoscopy. Resection of the colon and hemicolectomy seem to be the operation of choice.

RESUMO

An analysis of diagnosis and treatment of 8 patients with malignant tumors of the small intestine is presented, 1.7% of all the cases being new formations of the gastrointestinal tract. The timely diagnosis of small intestine tumor can be made by the employment of probe enterography allowing to establish the character and localization of the pathological process. Radical operation (resection of the intestine) is thought to be main method of treatment of small intestine tumors.

RESUMO

Results of experimental (12) and clinical (26) observations of autotransplantation of spleen fragments into the greater omentum after splenectomy are described. Optimum sizes of the transplanted fragments of the spleen were determined. The influence of this operation on homeostasis was studied. Terms of the taking of spleen fragments were established by morphological and radionuclide methods.
