RESUMO

Biochar-supported ZVI have received increasing attention for their potential to remove nitrobenzene in groundwater and soil. However, the capacity of this material to enhance the biological reduction of nitrobenzene and alter microbial communities in anaerobic groundwater have not been explored. In this study, the nitrobenzene removal performance and mechanism of modified biochar-supported zerovalent iron (ZVI) composites were explored in anaerobic soil. The results showed that the 700 °C biochar composite enhanced the removal of nitrobenzene and inhibited its release from soil to the aqueous phase. NaOH-700-Fe50 had the highest removal rate of nitrobenzene, reaching 64.4%. However, the 300 °C biochar composite inhibited the removal of nitrobenzene. Microbial degradation rather than ZVI-mediated reduction was the main nitrobenzene removal pathway. The biochar composites changed the richness and diversity of microbial communities. ZVI enhanced the symbiotic relationship between microbial genera and weakened competition between soil microbial genera. In summary, the 700 °C modified biochar composite enhanced the removal of nitrobenzene by increasing microbial community richness and diversity, by upregulating functional genes, and by promoting electron transfer. Overall, the modified biochar-supported ZVI composites could be used for soil remediation, and NaOH-700-Fe50 is a promising composite material for the on-site remediation of nitrobenzene-contaminated groundwater.

RESUMO

Numerous findings from functional neuroimaging research suggest that overweight may be associated with alterations in reactive inhibition. However, there is a dearth of research investigating the functional connectivity that mediates intentional inhibition in overweight individuals. To explore this issue, 55 overweight and 45 normal-weight adults completed an assessment consisting of a resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging scan, a behavioural task measuring food-specific intentional inhibition, and a 1-year longitudinal measurement of BMI change. A seed-based approach was employed to examine the group-difference of the resting-state functional connectivity (rsFC) of the medial frontal cortex (MFC) (dorsal fronto-medial cortex [dFMC], pre-supplementary motor area, and premotor cortex) regions involved in intentional inhibition. Compared with normal-weight adults, the overweight individuals exhibited higher rsFC between the MFC seeds and (i) cerebellum, (ii) postcentral gyrus, (iii) middle temporal gyrus, and (iv) posterior cingulate cortex, while lower rsFC strength were observed between MFC seeds and (i) putamen and (ii) insula. The overweight individuals with higher dFMC-cerebellum rsFC strength showed poorer performance in food-specific intentional inhibition and gained more weight a year later than those of normal-weight participants. Results suggested that altered functional connections between MFC and regions associated with reward and maladaptive eating may be key neural mechanisms of food-specific intentional inhibition in overweight status. Therefore, individuals are encouraged to make informed decisions about their health and reduce their consumption of obesogenic foods from the perspective of intentional inhibition.

RESUMO

Drug-induced liver injury is caused by the drug itself and/or its metabolites during drug use or occurs due to hypersensitivity or reduced tolerance to the drug in a particular body type. In the last three years of the diagnosis and treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), antiviral drugs have played a very important role, but there are many reports on liver injury caused by anti-COVID-19 drugs in China and globally, with unknown pathogenesis of liver injury caused by such drugs. This article reviews the research advances in the types of antiviral drugs for COVID-19 and their mechanism in inducing liver injury, in order to promote the rational use of antiviral drugs.

RESUMO

Erythropoietic protoporphyria(EPP)is an inherited metabolic disease caused by the deficiency in ferrochelatase(FECH)encoded by the FECH gene, and it is inherited in an autosomal recessive manner.EPP usually produces acute pain photosensitivity after exposure to sunlight in infancy or early childhood, and liver failure is the most serious associated complication. This article reported an adult female case of EPP complicated with thyrotoxicosis and liver dysfunction which is a rare condition. The patient's liver function improved after liver protection treatment, her thyroid function returned to normal, and her EPP symptoms improved significantly. Moreover, the c.286C>T gene mutation may be the pathogenic locus of EPP.For patients with abnormal liver function, the possibility of EPP should be considered after the common causes are excluded, and FECH gene detection should be done to confirm the diagnosis in time. When EPP is associated with thyrotoxicosis and liver dysfunction, priority may be given to hepatoprotective therapy.

RESUMO

The α-amino acid ester acyltransferase (SAET) from Sphingobacterium siyangensis is one of the enzymes with the highest catalytic ability for the biosynthesis of l-alanyl-l-glutamine (Ala-Gln) with unprotected l-alanine methylester and l-glutamine. To improve the catalytic performance of SAET, a one-step method was used to rapidly prepare the immobilized cells (SAET@ZIF-8) in the aqueous system. The engineered Escherichia coli (E. coli) expressing SAET was encapsulated into the imidazole framework structure of metal organic zeolite (ZIF-8). Subsequently, the obtained SAET@ZIF-8 was characterized, and the catalytic activity, reusability and storage stability were also investigated. Results showed that the morphology of the prepared SAET@ZIF-8 nanoparticles was basically the same as that of the standard ZIF-8 materials reported in literature, and the introduction of cells did not significantly change the morphology of ZIF-8. After repeated use for 7 times, SAET@ZIF-8 could still retain 67% of the initial catalytic activity. Maintained at room temperature for 4 days, 50% of the original catalytic activity of SAET@ZIF-8 could be retained, indicating that SAET@ZIF-8 has good stability for reuse and storage. When used in the biosynthesis of Ala-Gln, the final concentration of Ala-Gln reached 62.83 mmol/L (13.65 g/L) after 30 min, the yield reached 0.455 g/(L·min), and the conversion rate relative to glutamine was 62.83%. All these results suggested that the preparation of SAET@ZIF-8 is an efficient strategy for the biosynthesis of Ala-Gln.

RESUMO

Objective:To investigate the risk factors of post-stroke depression (PSD) in patients with first acute stroke 6 months after onset. Methods:Three hundred and sixty-seven patients with acute stroke who were treated for the first time in the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University were selected retrospectively. After onset for 6 months, the patients were followed up and divided into PSD group and non-PSD group. The clinical data, blood index, imaging data, degree of nerve damage and the patient's stigma level were compared between the two groups. Results:Totally 182 and 185 cases were included in the PSD and non-PSD groups, respectively. The incidence of PSD at 6 months post-stroke was 49.6% (182/367). The results of univariate analysis showed that diseased region, drinking history, monthly income, standard of culture, serum cortisol, total cholesterol (TC), high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR), Stigma Scale for Chronic Illness-8 Chronic Disease Stigma Scale-8(SSCI-8) scores, National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) scores and subtype of stroke were risk factors for PSD ( P<0.05). Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that diseased region at frontal lobe ( OR = 3.245, P = 0.011), basal ganglia region ( OR = 2.820, P = 0.007), cerebellar hemisphere ( OR = 4.594, P = 0.010) and serum cortisol ( OR = 1.174, P<0.001), hs-CRP ( OR = 1.057, P<0.001), SSCI-8 scores ( OR = 1.674, P<0.001), NIHSS scores ( OR = 1.283, P<0.001) were independent risk factors for PSD. Conclusions:PSD is a common complication in patients with stroke. Diseased region (at frontal lobe, basal ganglia region, cerebellar hemispheres), hs-CRP, serum cortisol, level of morbidity stigma and degree of neurological impairment are development risk factors for the PSD at 6 months of acute stroke.

RESUMO

Lancang-Mekong countries refer to the six countries that the Lancang-Mekong River flows through, including China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. These countries are geographically adjacent with similar cultures and have long history of traditional medicine and high plant diversity. Since ancient times, medicinal plants have been introduced into China from the countries along the river, including a variety of medicinal plants with edible and healthcare values, which is an important way for the transnational circulation of medicinal resources. This paper briefly described the history and application of edible medicinal plants in the six Lancang-Mekong countries and summarized more than 150 edible medicinal plants from the other five countries except China. These 150 medicinal plants belong to 66 families such as Labiatae, and 12 species of them are used as edible medicinal plants in all the six countries. Further, we collected the information of these edible medicinal plants, including the origins, efficacy, indications, medicinal edible parts, edible values, and the traditional application of these plants in China. Some valuable edible medicinal plants in the other five countries are considered to have a promising prospect of application in China and may be introduced to China as new medicinal resources. These efforts will be conducive to the cooperation in traditional medicine among Lancang-Mekong countries.

RESUMO

Portal vein thrombosis (PVT) is one of the common complications in patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis, including non-neoplastic PVT and portal vein tumor thrombus after the onset of primary liver cancer. It can lead to the deterioration of liver function, aggravate the portal hypertension-related adverse events including esophagogastric variceal bleeding, reduce the survival rate of patients after liver transplantation, and even threaten the life of patients in severe cases. Therefore, it is of great clinical significance to further explore the risk factors and early predictive factors for PVT. This article elaborates on the recent advances in the early predictive factors for non-neoplastic PVT in liver cirrhosis from the aspects of the three elements of thrombosis, the severity of liver injury, and the endoscopic treatment of esophagogastric varices. The analysis of related research shows that some early predictive factors are clearly associated with the formation of PVT, which provides help for the early identification of PVT; however, specific predictive values may be unclear or have certain differences, which needs to be confirmed by multicenter prospective studies.

RESUMO

Objective:To evaluate the effect of lidocaine on the expression of high-mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1) mRNA during lidocaine-induced attenuation of pulmonary vascular endothelial dysfunction in septic rats. Methods:Thirty clean-grade healthy male Sprague-Dawley rats, aged 8-12 weeks, weighing 250-300 g, were divided into 3 groups ( n=10 each) by the random number table method: sham operation group (S group), sepsis group (C group) and lidocaine group (L group). Sepsis model was developed by cecal ligation and puncture in anesthetized animals. In group S, only surgery was performed without ligation. In group L, lidocaine 10 mg/kg was injected into the tail vein immediately after model preparation, followed by 10 mg·kg -1·h -1 infusion for 3 h. Groups S and C received the equal volume of normal saline instead. At 24 h after model preparation, rats were sacrificed and blood samples were collected from the inferior vena cava, and lung tissues were harvested.Serum tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and syndecan-1 levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, HMGB1 mRNA expression in lung tissues was detected using quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, wet/dry lung weight ratio was measured, and pulmonary vascular endothelial structure was observed with a transmission electron microscope. Results:Compared with group S, the serum TNF-α and syndecan-1 concentrations and wet/dry lung weight ratio were significantly increased, and the expression of HMGB1 mRNA in lung tissues was up-regulated in C and L groups ( P<0.05). Compared with group C, the serum TNF-α and syndecan-1 concentrations and wet/dry lung weight ratio were significantly decreased, and the expression of HMGB1 mRNA in lung tissues was down-regulated in group L ( P<0.05). The results of transmission electron microscope showed that the pulmonary vascular endothelium was intact and continuous, and the structure was dense in group S; the pulmonary vascular endothelium was discontinuous, and the structure was significantly loose in group C; the pulmonary vascular endothelium was basically intact, and the structure was slightly loose in group L. Conclusions:Lidocaine may reduce pulmonary vascular endothelial dysfunction in septic rats by inhibition of HMGB1 mRNA expression.

RESUMO

Objective:To evaluate the accuracy and safety of cervical pedicle screw (CPS) placement under orthopaedic robot navigation system guidance. Methods:From March 2019 to February 2021, the data of 33 patients (19 males and 14 females, aged from 26 to 75 years, with an average age of 50.5 years) treated with pedicle screw fixation with the assistance of orthopaedic surgery robot through the posterior cervical spine were retrospectively analyzed. In clinical diagnosis, there was upper cervical fracture with instability in 14 patients (fracture nonunion in 2 patients), upper & subaxial cervical fracture in 1 patient, cervical spinal cord injury with spinal stenosis in 2 patients, cervical spinal stenosis in 9 patients, occipitocervical deformity in 2 patients, post-operative revision of cervical spondylosis in 2 patients, cervical intraspinal tumor in 3 patients. A total of 151 CPSs were inserted in C 1-C 7 using robot navigation system based on intraoperative three-dimensional C-arm fluoroscopy to assist in screw placement in posterior cervical surgery. Among them, 74 screws were implanted into upper cervical spine; 77 screws were implanted in the lower cervical spine. CT was used to obtain image data within 7 days after operation, and Neo classification was used to evaluate the accuracy of cervical pedicle screw placement. The patients were followed up for 2 weeks to observe the clinical symptoms and signs, and to determine whether there were surgical complications such as nerve and blood vessel injury and incision infection. Results:According to Neo classification, 91.4% (138/151) screws were completely contained in the pedicle without breaking through the pedicle cortex (grade 0). Among them, the accuracy of C 1 screws was 97.1% (34/35), C 2 screws was 92.3% (36/39), C 3 screws was 88.2% (15/17), C 4 screws was 71.4% (10/14), C 5 screws was 85.7% (12/14), C 6 screws was 93.3% (14/15), C 7 screws was 100.0% (17/17). The screw accuracy was highest in C 7, the lowest in C 4. The Kruskal-Wallis H test was performed on the accuracy of screw placement in different cervical level, and the results showed that there was no statistical difference (χ 2=1.31, P=0.971). However, a total of 13 screws were found to perforate the cortex of pedicle, although any neural or vascular complications associated with CPS placement were not encountered. Among them, 9 screws were found to perforate laterally, and 4 screws were found to perforate medially. No postoperative incision infection occurred in all cases. Conclusion:The safety of CPS placement can be effectively guaranteed with the assistance of the orthopaedic robot system.

The mean age of the patients was (29.1±10.7) years. The mean incontinence specific quality of life (I-QOL) was (39±4.8). The UI episodes was (11.9±2.6), mean voiding volume was (170.7±20.1)ml, mean maximum detrusor pressure at first NDO was (81.4±19.6) cmH 2O and mean volume at first NDO was (169.1±40.0)ml.All patients received trigone-including intradetrusor BTX-A (300 U, 30 sites) injection for four times and IC. Clinical data including I-QOL, bladder diary, video-urodynamic test and adverse events were recorded at baseline and 12 weeks after each injection. Results:Mean interval between four injections were (220.6±27.4), (222.8±24.1) and (224.4±39.0) d ( P=0.13). Compared with baseline data before first injection, mean I-QOL after the first, second, third and fourth injection increased to (54.9±9.1), (56.1±7.9), (61.7±9.1) and (68.8±8.9) (all P<0.001). The number of urinary incontinence cases decreased to 36, 35, 35 and 33 (all P<0.05). The mean urinary incontinence episodes per day decreased to (4.4±0.6), (3.8±0.4), (2.2±0.5) and (2.1±0.3)(all P<0.001). Mean voiding volume increased to (288.3±40.2), (300.0±38.6), (316.9±46.8) and (319.5±36.7) ml (all P<0.001). Mean maximum detrusor pressure at first NDO decreased to (29.4± 11.0), (26.1±8.7), (20.3±5.9) and (18.5±6.0) cmH 2O (all P<0.001) and mean volume at first NDO increased to (270.0±48.7), (284.9±51.3), (287.7±47.9) and (303.0±46.2) ml (all P<0.001), respectively. Compared with four injections, no difference in response was found in the mean I-QOL, the number of urinary incontinence cases, mean urinary incontinence episodes mean voiding volume, mean maximum detrusor pressure at first NDO and mean volume at first NDO (all P>0.05). No de novo VUR occurred and 2 cases of grade Ⅱ VUR at baseline had resolved after the first injection. 9 patients experienced serious gross hematuria within first week after injection, but the urine returned to clear by prolonging the catheter indwelling time or bladder irrigation. 12 patients with active urinary tract infection were treated with indwelling catheter and sensitive antibiotics. Patients continued IC when the symptoms, signs and laboratory examination were normal. Conclusions:Combined detrusor-trigone BTX-A injection and IC could help decrease detrusor pressure, restore some of the lower urinary tract function and improve the quality of life for male patients with NDO and UI secondary to SCI. Repeated injection is as effective and safe as the first injection.

RESUMO

Objective:To explore the normal ranges of perfusion parameters between cerebral hemisphere, cerebellar hemisphere and brain anatomical subregions (56 pairs) in different gender and age groups with multiple post labeling delay time (Multi-PLD) arterial spin labeling (ASL) imaging. Methods:From November 2020 to December 2020, 42 healthy adult volunteers (Male 25, Female 17) were recruited to perform 7 PLD ASL imaging, including 21 young adults (15 males and 6 females, aged 23—35 years) and 21 seniors (10 males and 11 females, aged 36—74 years). The data was processed offline by Cereflow software to obtain arterial arrival time (ATT) and corrected cerebral blood flow (CBF) and cerebral blood volume (CBV) perfusion parameters. SimpleITK standardization function was used to standardize the calculated perfusion image according to the anatomical automatic labeling (AAL) template. Therefore, CBF, ATT, CBV perfusion values of brain subregions were obtained. Paired samples t test, Wilcoxon rank sum test, independent samples t test and Mann-Whitney U test were used to compare the differences of perfusion parameters in the cerebral hemisphere, the cerebellar hemisphere, brain subregions depending on side, gender and age. Pearson correlation analysis was used to compare the correlations of perfusion parameters with age. Results:CBF in 62.5% (35/56) subregions and CBV in 44.6% (25/56) subregions were higher in right side than those in left side. ATT in most brain anatomical subregions (16/56) were higher in left side. The CBF [(35.30±8.31) vs. (34.34±7.53) ml·100g -1·min -1, P=0.021], CBV [(0.47±0.11) vs. (0.45±0.09) ml/100g, P<0.001], ATT [(1.30±0.10) vs. (1.24±0.11) s, P<0.001] in left cerebellar hemisphere were higher than that of right side. The CBF (28/56) of cerebral hemisphere, cerebellar hemisphere and brain subregions was higher in females than that in males, while ATT in 83.9% (47/56) subregions was lower than that in males (all P<0.05). CBV in female subjects was higher only in 5 brain regions (superior occipital gyrus, middle occipital gyrus, inferior occipital gyrus, superior parietal gyrus and cerebelum_7b) (all P<0.05). In young subjects, CBF in 44.6% (25/56) subregions and CBV in 33.9% (19/56) subregions were higher than those in the senior group (all P<0.05). The ATT in most subregions in young group were lower than those in senior group, but the difference was statistically significant only in rectus gyrus ( P=0.026) and paracentral lobule ( P=0.006). The CBF ( r=-0.430, P=0.005) and CBV ( r=-0.327, P=0.035) of cerebral hemisphere were negatively correlated with age. The CBF (24/25, r range:-0.497 —-0.343, all P<0.05) and CBV (16/19, r range:-0.474 —-0.322, all P<0.05) in most subregions were negatively correlated with age, while ATT was positively correlated (gyrus rectus: r=0.311, P=0.045; paracentral lobule: r=0.392, P=0.010). Conclusions:Multi-PLD ASL imaging could be applied for quantitative analysis of brain perfusion. The perfusion parameters of anatomical subregions are different depending on side, gender, and age.

RESUMO

Background Essential and non-essential elements have an important impact on the development of the central nervous system during fetal development. Due to their less developed brain, preterm infants are more sensitive to element exposure, and are high-risk groups of neurodevelopmental abnormalities. However, it is not clear whether the effects of element exposure in utero on postpartum neurodevelopment are different between full-term infants and preterm infants. Objective To evaluate the effects of element exposure levels during pregnancy on neurodevelopment of children aged 6-24 months (of corrected age), and compare the effects between preterm and full-term children. Methods A prospective study design was adopted and this study was conducted based on the Maoming Birth Cohort Study (MBCS) in Maoming City, Guangdong Province. Twenty elements in cord blood of 197 preterm infants and 297 full-term infants were measured, including 11 essential trace elements [vanadium (V), chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), selenium (Se), strontium (Sr), tin (Sn), and iron (Fe)], and 9 non-essential trace elements [aluminum (Al), arsenic (As), thallium (Tl), lead (Pb), uranium (U), cerium (Ce), antimony (Sb), cadmium (Cd), and yttrium (Y)]. The neurodevelopment of the children at 6, 12, and 24 months were evaluated by the Ages and Stages Questionnaires-the Third Edition (ASQ-3). A generalized estimating equation (GEE) model was adopted to evaluate the associations between elements and neurodevelopment in full-term and preterm children separately. Results The positive rates of 10 elements (Mn, Cu, Zn, Se, Sr, Fe, Sb, Tl, Pb, and As) in cord blood were greater than 80%. Among the preterm birth children, the results of GEE analysis showed that after adjusting for the covariates, for each increase of interquartile range (IQR) in ln-transformed concentration, As was associated with problems/delay in the communication and problem-solving sub-scales, with the adjusted odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) of 1.36 (1.03-1.80) and 1.55 (1.10-2.20), respectively; the adjusted OR (95%CI) of problems/delay in the fine motor and problem-solving sub-scales were 1.44 (1.00-2.07) and 1.76 (1.09-2.84) for Sb, respectively; the adjusted OR (95%CI) of problems/delay in the communication sub-scale was 1.37 (1.09-1.74) for Se. No statistically significant associations between umbilical cord blood element concentrations and neurodevelopment indicators were observed among full-term children. The results of stratified analysis by sex showed that the associations between umbilical cord blood element concentrations and neurodevelopment problems/delay were only significant among female preterm children. Conclusion Exposures to As, Se, and Sb during pregnancy may increase the risk of neurodevelopment problems/delay in preterm children aged 6-24 months, and female seem to be more vulnerable.

RESUMO

Osteoporotic thoracolumbar fracture in the elderly will seriously reduce their quality of life and life expectancy. For osteoporotic thoracolumbar fracture in the elderly, spinal reconstruction is necessary, which should comprehensively consider factors such as the physical condition, fracture type, clinical characteristics and osteoporosis degree. While there lacks relevant clinical norms or guidelines on selection of spinal reconstruction strategies. In order to standardize the concept of spinal reconstruction for osteoporotic thoracolumbar fracture in the elderly, based on the principles of scientificity, practicality and progressiveness, the authors formulated the Clinical guideline for spinal reconstruction of osteoporotic thoracolumbar fracture in elderly patients ( version 2022), in which suggestions based on evidence of evidence-based medicine were put forward upon 10 important issues related to the fracture classification, non-operative treatment strategies and surgical treatment strategies in spinal reconstruction after osteoporosis thoracolumbar fracture in the elderly, hoping to provide a reference for clinical treatment.

RESUMO

Objective:To analyze the clinical features of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) patients complicated with peripulmonary occupational lesions.Methods:Fifty-five AIDS patients with peripulmonary occupational lesions treated in Guangzhou Eighth People′s Hospital from January 2012 to January 2019 were included, and the clinical data of patients were retrospectively analyzed. According to the results of lung biopsy, the patients were divided into Mycobacterium infection group, fungal infection group and tumor group. The clinical characteristics, the proportion of different CD4 + T lymphocyte counts and chest computed tomography (CT) features of the three groups were compared. Chi square test was used for comparison among the three groups, and Bonferroni method was used to correct the test level for pairwise comparison. The significance level was 0.016 7 because of three pairwise comparisons. Results:Among 55 AIDS patients complicated with peripulmonary occupational lesions, pulmonary biopsy showed 14 cases with Mycobacterium infection, 12 cases with fungal infection and 15 cases with tumor lesions. Mixed diseases were found in 11 patients, including seven cases with Mycobacterium and fungus coinfection, four with tumor complicated with fungus and (or) Mycobacterium. Three with chronic interstitial pneumonia. The main clinical manifestations of 55 patients were fever, expectoration, fatigue, weight loss and superficial lymph node enlargement. There were no significant differences in symptoms/signs, white blood cell counts, hemoglobin levels, alanine transaminase and creatinine among Mycobacterium infection group, fungal infection group and tumor group (all P>0.05). There was significant difference in anti-retroviral therapy (ART) acceptance among the three groups ( χ2=15.165, P<0.01). However, the results of pairwise comparison between groups showed that there was significant difference between fungal infection group and tumor group ( χ2=7.514, P<0.016 7), while there was no significant difference between Mycobacterium infection group and tumor group, Mycobacterium infection group and fungal infection group ( χ2=0.255 and 5.306, respectively, both P>0.016 7). There were significant differences in clinical outcomes among the three groups ( χ2=15.119, P<0.01), and the pairwise comparison between the Mycobacterium infection group and the tumor group, and the fungal infection group and the tumor group showed significant differences ( χ2 =10.311 and 9.095, respectively, both P<0.016 7). The cases with CD4 + T lymphocyte count ≤50/μL, 51-<200/μL and ≥200/μL in Mycobacterium infection group were three cases, one case and 10 cases, respectively; those in fungal infection group were 10 cases, two cases and 0 case, respectively, and those in tumor group were one case, two cases and 12 cases, respectively. The difference was statistically significant ( χ2=21.284, P<0.01). Chest CT showed that there was significant difference in the types of space occupying lesions among the three groups ( χ2=13.308, P=0.003), and pairwise comparison between the two groups showed that there was significant difference between the Mycobacterium infection group and the tumor group ( χ2=11.312, P<0.016 7), while there were no significant differences between the Mycobacterium infection group and fungal infection group ( χ2=0.931, P>0.016 7), and the fungal infection group and the tumor group ( χ2=7.053, P>0.016 7). There was significant difference among the three groups in calcification focus ( χ2=8.524, P=0.004), while there was no difference between the Mycobacterium infection group and fungal infection+ tumor group ( χ2=10.982, P<0.016 7). Conclusions:Mycobacterium infection, fungal infection and tumor are the main types of peripulmonary occupational lesions in AIDS patients. The differential diagnosis could be made by combining with chest CT features, ART acceptance and CD4 + T lymphocyte level.
