RESUMO

Studies of the effect of benzophurocaine on the morphological structure of the skin and viscera in animals with burn disease have shown the drug to have a protective action. The latter one manifested itself in a considerable reduction of injuries to the viscera and in a more rapid recovery of the disordered structure and function.

RESUMO

Electrocardiography and tetrapolar rheoplethysmography of the finger have demonstrated that voltaren and 5-NK activity produce an adverse action on the coronary blood flow in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. It has been found possible to correct the induced disorders by cordarone.

RESUMO

Antimicrobic properties of euphylline as well as its effects on antibacterial activity of penicillins, cephalosporins, and aminoglycosides were studied. It was established that euphylline differently affects antimicrobic activity of aforementioned drugs.

RESUMO

The effect of benzofuracaine, etaden, and xanthinol nicotinate on the healing of skin wounds was studied in rat experiments. On days 1-14 of postmechanical injury, intramuscular benzofuracaine (15, 30, 60, and 120 mg/kg), etaden (20 mg/kg), and xanthinol nicotinate (each drug alone) reparative processes in the skin wounds developed more rapidly and processes of microcirculation in the region of the injury were normalized. The wound-healing effect of benzofurocaine in an ortimal dose of 60 mg/kg was more marked than that op etaden and xanthinol nicotinate. With benzofuracaine and etaden, the skin wounds healed completely by the 14th day of the experiment in 57% and 28.6% of animals, respectively. Such cases were not encountered among animals treated with xanthinol nicotinate and in the controls (untreated animals).

RESUMO

In the process of treatment of experimental close fractures of radius in rats by intramuscular administration of benzofurocaine (60 mg/kg), the regeneration processes of the bone tissue were activated to a greater degree than in case of administration of etadene (20 mg/kg) or xanthinol nicotinate (30 mg/kg). Under the influence of benzofurocaine, beginning on the 10-20-th day of the experiment, there have been noted the reorganization of young callus into the mature laminal bone. The preparations of comparison have demonstrated less expressed analogous action.

RESUMO

Experiments on intact cats were made to study the effect of intravenous injection of voltaren (4 mg/kg) and intraventricular injection of indomethacin (4 mg/kg), ibuprophen (5 mg/kg), and butadion (22 mg/kg) on the coronary circulation and oxygen consumption by the myocardium. Indomethacin and butadion decreased the volumetric velocity of the coronary circulation and to a lesser degree oxygen consumption by the myocardium in all the experiments, whereas voltaren in 8 of 15 experiments. Ibuprophen and voltaren (in part of experiments) led to an increase in the coronary circulation and to greater oxygen utilization by the myocardium.

RESUMO

The effect of voltaren on the electrical and contractile activity of smooth muscle cells of the rabbit portal vein and the bovine cerebral arteries was studied by sucrose gap method. Voltaren was found to rarefy (10(-6)-10-10(-3)mol/l) or to suppress (10(-4)-10(-3)mol/l) spontaneous electrical and contractile activity and to relax the portal vein muscle strips. At concentrations of 5.10(-6)-5.10(-3) mol/l voltaren caused a dose-dependent relaxation of the cerebral arterial muscle strips. The relaxation of the smooth muscles of the blood vessels induced by voltaren is suggested to be due to inhibition of calcium ions influx into muscle cells through different types of calcium channels.

RESUMO

The antioxidant properties of benzofurocaine, phenycaberan, crithophen, alpha-tocopherol and ionol were evaluated by inhibition of oxygen absorption by liposomes from egg phosphatidylcholine induced by the addition of an prooxidant. The activity of the tested agents at inhibition of Fe2+-ascorbater-initiated oxidation decreases in the order: ionol, benzofurocaine, phenycaberan, orthophen, alpha-tocopherol; emine-initiated (EDTA-independent) oxidation of phosphatidylcholine is inhibited only by ionol, orthophen and alpha-tocopherol. Phenycaberan exerts no effect on oxidation and benzofurocaine increases the rate of emine-initiated absorption of oxygen. Thus, benzofurocaine, phenycaberan and orthophen may be referred to as selective inhibitors of Fe2+-initiated peroxidation of phosphatidylcholine.

RESUMO

Treatment of the adjuvant disease in rats by intragastric administration of voltaren or indomethacin (3 mg/kg) was followed by approximately equal anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects on the affected joints. In this case the development of active dystrophic changes in the gastrointestinal tract and kidneys was observed. At combined administration of the antiphlogistics with trental there was noted an enhancement of their therapeutic action on the joints and also a weakening of the ulcerogenic effect and nephrotoxicity that was reflected in the clinical, pathological, morphological and laboratory studies.
