A case of angiosarcoma of the right corpus cavernosum with direct extension to the bladder, prostate, and seminal vesicles and metastasis to brain, liver, and cheek is presented, and the literature is reviewed.

Palliative treatment of obstructing stone during pregnancy.

We present a twenty-three-year-old obese female with a twenty-four-week gestation pregnancy, a left ureteral stone, and urosepsis. She was treated conservatively with intravenous antibiotics and an indwelling Double J Cook catheter until the postpartum period. This represents a satisfactory alternative to nephrostomy drainage or surgical or percutaneous stone removal during pregnancy.

[High frequency jet-ventilation in esophagotracheal fistula]. / Jet-ventilation à haute fréquence au cours d'une fistule oesotrachéale.

High-frequency jet-ventilation (HFJV) is not widely used, mainly because of technical problems and difficulty to assess its efficiency. However, there is general agreement on following major indication: artificial ventilation in patients with oesotracheal fistula. In the case reported here, HFJV allowed efficient ventilatory support through an endotracheal tube with deflated cuff. Weaning was progressively obtained. Surgery and postoperative course were uneventful.

Evaluation and treatment of priapism.

We herein review the last 29 patients with priapism treated at our hospitals with respect to the physiology and pathophysiology of erection and priapism, respectively, and present a rational approach to the management of priapism. Emphasis is given to the corpus cavernosum to corpus spongiosum shunt with a vascular anastomosis technique.
